  • I'm wanting to make a curtain with tri-color RGB LEDs. The project would use LED 1440 RGB tri-color or 30 rows x 48 columns. I wish, if possible, you rode in on a project in this style and send the value of the total project and the necessary equipment apart. Remembering q I want just the design and components, for I will ride it right here, eg Matrix Driver, program, LED, resistor to connect the LEDs and an outline of how to connect the LEDs. My intention is to display images on the curtain.

  • hello friend just to Brazil and want to mount a cube that you could help me get Aruma the controller card?

  • Just when I was wondering what to get an 11-year-old girl who is getting "too old" for toys ... much cooler than a "lava lamp" ...

  • Give it to me for my birthday :D

  • @saintpine you sir, are my new favorite person. You should be a super hero.

  • hmm out of ten i give it a -100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000! purely because it looked like magnetic balls in the picture

  • GIVE ME 9 MINUTES AND 41 SECONDS OF MY LIFE BACK -_-

  • can i do a suggestion? you could blow a little bit of smoke inside the cube !

just a little would give amazing results!

smoke machine are now very cheap(around 30$)

  • Z, When did you buy it at Fry's? I so want one and Fry's is about 15 niles from my house. Thanks!

  • I bought this at Fry's and love it. Everyone that comes into my house wants to buy one. I want to purchase a bunch and resell them but the company's web site does not work. Darn. Hey Hi-tecart, got a working site?

  • cool, i'm building a 5x5x5 one, the total cost is around $50 and a lot of time!

  • @emihackr97 Cool ... post a video response of it when you get it done ... I'd love to see it.

  • @emihackr97 Can you tell me where you are getting your supplies from? LED, boards and processor? Thanks!

  • @Shorty15c4007 Sure, The LEDs I got from eBay, they go for about $35 for 200 (RGB of course), and the controller consists of an AtMega328 (the same as the Arduino) but programmed in C connected to 6 TLC5940 from TI for the PWM and current control, i'm using 2 chips for each color, they go for about $0 as TI sends them as free samples, even the shipping is fast. And i'm using an SD card storing the "video" frames because they take up a lot of space.

  • what chip is being used here? not an Arduino is it?

  • @Euro236 possibly ... I didn't build it ... bought it off the shelf from Hi-Tech Art who pre-built and programmed it. They would know.

  • @tend2it o really? dam, how much did this cost?

  • @Euro236 I paid around $99 ... a lot easier than spending the time to build one from scratch ... search online for "hi-tech art cube" for sellers and deals.

  • @tend2it but if you build it your self you will have pride in the thing.

  • @tend2it hmmm was it amazing lights xD

  • wow amazing! :O

stupid question.... does the music activate the dancing light? X3

  • @BonAndChi - Hi ... no, I mentioned in the Video description that Note: no way to sync the light show to the music ... meaning that it is a closed design to get the price down ... so there is no ability to input a signal and have the lights dance to the music ... I selected this music because it was lively and matched some of the parts ... ;oD

  • @tend2it ah~ lol~ sorry.. i didn't read the video description 'coz was hypnotized by the dancing lights~ X3
