  • I agree. Feel so lucky to have had this happen right off our Monkey House Balcony in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.

  • Amazing

  • Sltohs are great! Female sloths have a baby almost every year of their adult life. Once the babies are 6 months old - they're on their own and mom's onto the next. Baby sloth sightings are common around Manuel Antonio.

  • This is so great!! Sloths rule.....:D

  • I dont understand how these slow sloths can survive out in the wild since they are so slow...

  • @Super33Human Sloths evidently taste bad, so they don't have any predators.

  • That. Is. Amazing.

Mother nature you fuckin legend :)

  • @TheBeeBoots It was truly cool to see a newborn sloth baby so close. He was about 3 feet away. Sloths look like they're always smiling. look closer and I think you'll see the baby looks like he was born with a smile.

  • if its disqusting then why come here to this video the TITLE reads sloth giving BIRTH! Every woman does this birth thing and every man who has a wife has to watch a birth anyways of their child anyways.

  • I LOVE sloths!

  • @Cherie049 What I like about sloths is they always look like they're smiling.

  • @DiscoveryBeachHouse You're right! Good observation.

  • @Cherie049 I agree! It makes me smile every time I see one on our property here in Costa Rica.

  • this is disgusting

  • @ohshitits4 Nature is amazing.

  • @DiscoveryBeachHouse It is amazing. I love living in Costa Rica. Every day is an adventure. One day I'll see a baby sloth being born, on another an enormous electric blue morpho butterfly will cross my path and yet on another day a Jesus Christ lizard will run across the surface of our swimming pool.

  • @ohshitits4 Like you :) get lost redneck. This vid is cool

  • @TheBeeBoots Thanks for the "yes!" vote.

  • @ohshitits4 Well, we all came from somewhere..

  • "oh my god, he's like, cleaning it"

  • @Lazericky The mother sloth is doing what comes natural.

  • @DiscoveryBeachHouse I think they were making fun of you because you said "he" lol

  • that's amazing! What a privilege!

  • @rockchick1960 Isn't this cool? Sloths almost always give birth way high up in the trees. Our guest, Laura Brown, staying at our Monkey House shot this.

  • @DiscoveryBeachHouse it is a gift

  • @rockchick1960 Woo-hoo! A moment like this may only come around once in a lifetime.

  • pardon, privileged....Check my sloth vids on my page ; )

  • Feeling very priveleged to view this, I am a sloth lover. Thanks for sharing

  • @avdiz Sloths are definitely lovable. We're so lucky to have them on our private nature reserve here in Costa Rica. Maybe it's because sloths seem to have a perpetual grin on their face - I just can't help smiling back.

  • @avdiz My pleasure and privilege.
