It wasn't Fox since it was on WPIX, not WNYW. I'm not sure about the syndication part. I think it may have been one of those shows that was always in syndication.
@wtcvidman hey im sry for asking such a random question but do u no of a show about a metal robot super hero the promo for it played on a vhs of power rangers in space psycho rangers special.
I used to do the same with Duck Tales, which was on around 2PM at the time. I missed a lot of episodes during its initial 1987 run & wanted to see them all over again. I wish they'd release Volume 4 so I could have all the episodes on DVD. I taped them all, but I can't find some stuff I'm 100% positive I taped in the late 90's.
my stepmom was a holy roller and she wouldnt let me watch this because the villan said "forces of darkness empower me, take me back to my virtual reality" She thought it was some satan shit.
That's a shame. This show follows closer to the original Power Rangers than any other similar show. Even more so than some of the Power Ranger spinoffs.

I used to set the timer on my VCR before I go to school (I was in 2nd grade at the time), and when I come back home, I watch the show.
