Jangles u don't understand what the video is trying to teach, I'm a christian and I'm not a hipacrit, yes I known my spelling sucks, what they video is showing is through Christ all things are possible, and yes murder is a sin, but killing someone to protect ones family isn't, and it was also showing a man overcoming his sin
if to kill is a sin; if youre killing your 'evil' self you are commiting a crime, according to your 'lord', surely this act would cause you yourself to become evil. according to your 'lord's' scriptures, ie the ten commandments. surely to defeat an evil self, or even a past self would be to forgive and not slay in a duel with lightsabers. is it just me or are christians the biggest bunch of hypocrites :P

Han, Grand Moff Tarkin and that loud-mouth Admiral on the 1st Death Star who got force choked both referred to the whole 'The Force' deal as a 'religion'... A CENTRAL THEME in all 6 movies... Actualy Jedimasterjon1 you are confused. Christians may kill in the defense of themselves or others. God has never denied the fact that violence is a necessary fact of life and society. Infact there have been entire genocides that were commanded by God. If you are a Christian then you know that violence is always a last resort, but if you refuse to commit violence and not do the right thing then you are sinning.
I think wat really gets me about this is not just the great choreography but the story. There have been many types of 'inner conflict' stories on youtube, but I think this one has the most potential. I would fully endorse making this a much longer film or series of mini films on youtube.

This is actually one of the best Ls fights i've seen on youtube. Beside that I can't think of the force as any form of christian philosophy. (no, i'm not a christian. I find even the Force more belevable) But it's an intresting mix....
this sums up the battle i've been fighting within myself against my dark side as you put it the personification of my sin for the past 15 years right now well I endure in this struggle it feels like God and Jesus Christ chooses to forsake me priticularly when I need him most and it really hurts it is at this moment he chooses to do so leading me to believe he dosen't care let alone love me
Very awesome video and nice incorporation of the scriptures. Great job to all involved. I would love to see the finished project, as there were a few cuts that seemed slightly rough as well as the obvious cuts where the saber effects weren't added. Again, nicely done.
Okay, enough with the "The lightsabers aren't shiny anymore." We all KNOW it's not finished. But congrats on a great movie! The one wrong thing about Star Wars was the stupid middle-eastern religion. Jesus is and always will be the one true God. Good job in taking a stand for what's right!

This was for a competition, so they ran out of time. It was the same with Ryan vs Brandon, I believe - the saber effects were added in after the competition.
Yes it was. By 'ran out of time' I simply mean that they didn't have enough time to finish everything, so they submitted it as is. The crucial part of the competition was the choreography; the special effects and such were extras.

Praise God someone finally made a video like this. This is something I wish i could do in my Christian walk, go inside my heart an face the evil within myself and take it down. This video has been a blessing to me, Thank you
as a word to the wise, you can do that by any time temptation arises pick up a bible and fight. And another thing, Its pretty hard to sin while praying
God loves you and wants the best for you. If you sin and ask God to forgive you then the sin will be gone. It will be remembered no more. The only one who will not let you forget is the devil.
The religion touch was nice. I liked it because it makes you think if all your sinful deeds were rolled up into one person. I wish someone would edit the effects where you could see the sticks though. :)

Not to mention rotoscoping things takes forever. People say its the worst part of these competitions.

Oh yeah I don't doubt that at all, but it's more than worth it. I would rather watch light saber battles than 'ninja fights' =P

the one thing that bothers me is the fact that they forgot the lighting on the sabers at a few parts. other then that it was amazing.

it was very good and it had a good message, but i think it was a little heavy on the scripture and God. im not against God, i believe in him too, its just that hes not in star wars. overall it was a fantastic movie, great choreography, great job

The religion touch was nice. I liked it because it makes you think if all your sinful deeds were rolled up into one person. I wish someone would edit the effects where you could see the sticks though. :)

I loved it. I loved the scripture, the biblicalness, the powerful ideaology, the coreography. Ahrd to believe you only got 2nd place. Sux that you didn't get all of the lightsaber fottage animated.
