To all of you throwing a fit about her being too small...keep in mind that this video was added to Youtube in 2007....now shut up about it. Nothing bad has happened to her. She's fine. Chill. This video is cute. We can all agree on that.
This is an awesome video! I own 4 Friesians, one being a stud colt. I know how calm and relaxed they are. I would allow any child in the pasture with my horses, and I KNOW the child would be safe! Friesians are know for being GENTLE GIANTS! They are awesome!
It is a very cute video, these people concerned with the horse "killing the child" are ridiculous. Horses can be like dogs. I've witnessed first hand horses go out of their way to not hurt a human or put them in danger. This takes good training and a good relationship. you can see that this all there.
Very cute, but she needs a helmet. No matter how gentle a horse is, it's still an unpredictable prey animal and she's at the perfect height for a hoof to her head. She's WAY too cute to end up with brain damage or worse.
With a lighter breed, I would question the safety of the girl, but Freisans are gentle horses and well aware of their own strength. Dad was also right there. The still photo of her hugging the horse's head is charming.
Wow, I totally agree that this situation is very sceptical; why would any adult put a kid, this small in front of a animal that weighs so much and can potentially run the kid over and take the childs very breath. Is this video or anything else about this obcene situation worth it, NOT, shame on the adults doing the video for putting the child in possible harms way. The child is not even old enough to have the cognitive skills to be aware of all the elements of the fight or flight syndrome.
What a beautiful lil girl and her talent is amazing already. It's so obvious that she has wonderful parents who love her and enrich her life with horses :)
wow shes cute!! a little on the silly side if im honest with such a big hrose and no hate or anythin but anyway i can see you trust the horse and she is a credit to you ( the little girl i mean)
Great pics, what wonderful memories....maybe you need to keep them good ones, and have the little girl wear a helmet, she is to little to make safe choices....
@mariahswind trust me helmets aren't always the safest thing they don't stop devastating accidents from happening if a horse kicked a child that small whether it had a helmet or not it'd die shoot if a horse kicked anyone in the head with or without a helmet they'd most likely die from having their head snapped back hard enough to snap their neck or from having their spinal column shoved into their brain depends on angle the only time i find a helmets going to help is when falling off of a horse
For all you nay-sayers (pardon the pun) out there, Erica is doing fine and she has supervision. And clearly that Corgi just background noise to that horse at this point. Erica didn't have that line wrapped so if that horse bolted, that line would have been yanked out of her hand and she'd eat some dirt. Growing up with animals, you're going to eat a little dirt. It was not her day to do that, so chill.
Your fresian is so beautiful!!! I think they are so pretty! haha except i would really choose to have one because they arent the best for a jumper. Still, they are very pretty! And lovely daughter! I bet shes going to be great with horses when shes older :)
@HorseRider4507 Excuse me. How old are you? You sound like a jealous little 10 year old. It's amazing because of how young she is. You've probably had more years than she has had to learn. Next time you feel like trashing a three year old, don't. It's incredibly rude.
@DontchaJustLoveHer Well,I'm really sorry now,I think she's pretty good though,and it's also a very good horse,so please forgive me,I wast just a bit cranky...
@HorseRider4507 because for a 3 year old to accomplish this is far more impressive than for a spoilt little brat like YOU to do it. If you think you're cool by trollin' on a three year old, who is probably 300 times the rider/trainer you are, then you are quite severly mistaken. I feel sorry for kids like you.
@RammsteinRoesli Well she's acually pretty good, and I'm really sorry for what I said, and she's acually pretty good and the horses are good too,and she's acually pretty cute. I'm really sorry for what I said, everyone. Please forgive me. I was just a bit cranky..
She's got better lunging skills than a lot of adults I know. Actually stays behind the horse's shoulder, doesn't let the excess lead drag, no wrapping around hands or arms. She definitely is going to be a confident child when she grows up!
im about to have my first baby and i am hoping to have great moments like these. what a lucky family to have a great little girl like this. so many happy smiles.
oh my bloody god, a three and a hlaf year old girl is lunging a 2 year old horse?! our 4 year old gives nus hell when he is lungeing, and we are 14, 22 and 50!
@HorseShowingGirl Yeah, if she's lucky enough to get older. I'm all for exposing kids to horses at a young age, but it must be done responsibly. A 3 year old lunging a horse that is clearly strong enough to drag her across the arena (and don't even get me started on the damned dog) is not responsible parenting.
@timidwildone14 Did she get hurt? No, so stfu. I hate over controlling people like you that think you know what's best for everyone elses kids. You really think those parents, that clearly love their daughter that much, would put her in any kind of danger? NO. So wise up, and stop acting like you know it all about parenting, when in reality, you know balls all. This little girl will be an amazing rider and trainer when she DOES get older. I dunno, maybe you're just jealous?
@RammsteinRoesli What is your stake in this that you are so vicious in your responses? I'm not controlling, thank you very much. I DO, however, know how to be safe around horses, and how to keep kids safe around horses, and this is not an example of that. I've been riding for 20 years and am safe because I was never put in positions like this by my parent or instructor. Jealous is not the motivation for my response; concern for the child, however, is. For her sake, I hope she does become...
@timidwildone14 Wow, three comments? You really thought you needed to say that much about your opinion? And you really need to get your head out of your ass, and stop presuming you know everything, because you don't. You need to learn to lighten up, mate, because you'll never have fun if you look at everything as a safety hazard.
@RammsteinRoesli ...a great horsewoman when she's older. I hope that she can also walk away from these experiences realizing that while she may have gotten through them in 1 piece, not every child will have the saintly horse that she did growing up. Plenty of parents "think" they're doing right by their child, but for pure ignorance or pride, AREN'T. It doesn't mean they love that child any less. It just means they need to be smarter about the way they handle risky activities like this.
And YES, whether you're blind to the fact or not...ALL horse-related activities carry an element of risk. That's why states have equine liability laws. Educate yourself. In the meantime, I will continue to feel the way I do about this, and will be far more diligent about teaching my future children to be safe than you or this child's parents have. If you know a damned thing about safety around horses at all, you'd be questioning this video too. Clearly, you don't. End of convo.
Haha! That's AWESOME!! She's really gonna know her way around horses. ;) Actually, it looks like she already does! xD Adorable. I wish I had grown up with horses like that... I barely know how to lunge and I'm 15!! lol!
This is probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen! It is nice to see the horse trusts her and she trusts the horses :D It is so adorable how the horse starts trotting and almost pulls her over <3
this just goes to show how loving and compassionate horses are. this large, powerful animal allow itself to be lead by something no taller than his knee. wondeful video and precious girl!!!!
This is the CUTEST video I have EVER seen! I love how she has NO fear with the horse!!! She just gets in there and makes it do what she wants it to do! Amazing!!!
wow... what an amazing little girl... she has no fear and just gets right in there... she is going to be one to watch when she is older out in the competition world... she already has that special something with horses.. you as parents must be EXTREMELY proud. xo
I love this video. Erica looks a lot like my 4 year old cousin Ava. She rides too. She takes therapeutic horseback riding lessons because she had a stroke when she was 2 and now has some physical disabilities, but is recovering quickly and I love her. She is my favorite cousin.
That so reminds me of when I was three. I'm 11 now and still would rather be out side in 5 degree weather with horses. To see me and one of my horse search sumahtex. Mine are the first 3 horse videos.
What a cutie. I have a three year old son and he loves getting in and leading the horses up for me and brushing them and lunging them, if they put a foot wrong my son's onto it. Very cute!
she soooooooo ahhhhhdorable, she is like not evan up to the horses knee! LOL, she is soooooo cute, i just can get over it, i LOVE her smile! oh and that pic of her in the dress was beautiful, she sooooo pretty
Very cute!! <3

Very cute!
