I take Sobril one or twice a week. Each time it`s 50 milligrams devided between 2 pills. The following days with sideaffects is litterally like going through hell. I`m psychotic and my thoughts go towards all negative stuff. Also i don`t feel like i am myself 100% while im on them, and the 3-5 following days without them. I have been strugling with anxiety and depression for 15 years. Im 28 years old, and its 3 years and 3 months since i first started taking them.
Yeah I kicked cold turkey 14 days of hell. The 1 thing I will always remember is I was so bad on Xanax that my wife told me, all she wood ever hear is "click, click, click" and that was me counting my pills and dropping them bak into the pill bottle I wood do this 10-20 times a day. I could not live without these things. There only 2-3 bux, but when you are doing 15-20 a day. It adds up, and the whole tolerance thing. I always hear people say tapering off is possible.I do not agree with that.
Very true, been on 4-6mg of clonazepam for a year and a half, Im down to two 7.5mg tranxenes(clorazapate, which is metabolized to desmethyldiazepam and has a long half life) I am also 2 months into being off methadone after being on that for 4 years, going thru both. This whole thing is driving me nuts, benzos are poison, if taken for longer than say 2 weeks. methadone and benzo w/d at the same time... need I say more?
He is describing (very simply) the concept of "tolerance," which occurs with long term use of most drugs. You need more and more because you develop a resistance to the amount you are taking = "tolerance."
this guy on the video is a complete idiot lol i have never seen someone so fucking dumb trying to explaine clonazepam and bezos in general ,,,i couldnt even watch half the video cause i was getting so annoyed at this idiot,,
Stay stong mate!!!! Been there with Xanax. It's been 3 years now and I've never felt better! Woulnt'nt take Benzoes again if you paid me! Watching this vid of you,was like looking into the past and seeing myself. It took me almost 4 months to wean myself off one of the most evil drugs I ever took. Good luck, thanks for your honesty!!!
I take 1 mg twice a day since 2008 yeah i understand all what are you talking about they are really hard bit anxiety is not easy too . So taper them off slowly and don't give advice as long as you don't know very well how they works ,most people that are using them don't do it cause the like but the need so don't make them feel more afraid and have more anxiety .otherwise you look cool and don't think too much negative .sorry i am not a native english speakers
I have neurosis for 8 years.I was in hospital for 1 month,I also had a few therapies. Now I'm going to have new one.I'm taking Relanium and Effectin, but the true is that only lorazepan helped me for a while. It's very addicted drug if you took it for long time but it was so helpfull with my fears. Now I took it sometimes, neurosis is hell for me. I hope that the therapy will help me and one day I'll live normal without any drugs. It's so hard to live with that. But I don't want to be an addict.
@mikefiftynine they are only fine short term, long term they are evil! i no ! very difficult to come off, in fact dangerous. sorry but u need to go 2 days without then u will c !!!
They aren't "extremely dangerous" unless you're a junkie and overdose. I've worked in medicine for 7 and a half years, there are legal drugs (Schedule 8 drugs.. "S8's") like Oxycontin that IS street legal heroin. Valium and most other benzodiazepams are Schedule 4 drugs.. weak sauce compared to what drug addicts "Doctor shop" for.
Valium, Hypnodorm and other benzos are for the same group of people that get off on Codeine.. people that abused their pain medication to the point of dependance.
@xxxserialxxx well, i find it sad how ignorant you are considering the fact that you've supposedly worked in medicine for a while. you said "They aren't extremely dangerous unless you're a junkie and overdose"-wow. do i even need to explain to you how genuinely stupid that sounds? fact: anyone can overdose on the benzos. ANYONE. in fact, a junkie is less likely to overdose because his tolerance is much higher than an occasional user. so you're dead fucking wrong about that.
@xxxserialxxx you seem to be trying to misinform people by making it seem that benzos aren't as destructive as opiates when the TRUTH is that benzos are both physically and psychologically addictive, just like opiates and therefore are just as potentially harmful.
in fact, some make the argument that it's harder to get off benzos because they think the withdrawal symptoms or detoxification process is harder to endure.
@azurenscens As I said, 7 years of work in the medical field dealing with benzo addicts as well as the ones sekking MUCH stronger and MUCH more deadly drug.
I also have experience with a benzo addiction myself, dickbag, it's one of the 'perks' for a drug addict working at a place with stocks of Valium, Codeine.. whatever I wanted.. I'm clean now but that isn't the point.
Why don't you go pretend you know everything somewhere else. I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
These guys talking shit diazepam is no-were near as addictive as Herion, not even close, Im a recovering heroin addict and trust me, Heroin is the most addicted drug on the planet, closely followed by crack & coke! wheres he getting these facts? im not disputing valuim aint addictive, it is,but not to the extent that heroin is, heroin is a fucking evil drug that will take all your earthly possions, your friends will go, so will most of your family until it gets what its really after..your life!
@weeleon81 diazapam is long lasting much greater than heroin and I agree with you in the sense that you dont really crave a valium buzz like heroin but however when you stop it will be the same if not worse than heroin I have done both and am speaking from experience valium is harder to quit as the withdrawls are worse but once youve stopped you aint going back there but with heroin well thats a different story when you quit you know one you'll be back to the depths of hell.
@weeleon81 You have noooooooooo idea of the danger you are in. Goodluck as you're going to need it. Benzo's will take your possessions, family, friends, career and anything else you hold near and dear. You think you are smart, well just remember once you try and get off, you will wish you were dead. It will last for years too.
been taking valuim for 15years (always brought of the street!).. & i love them, if your shy, nervous etc they work big time, any worries or stresses u might have are just gone!,i usually use them after dinking (u know the morning after when you get a bit paranoid about all da shit you done drunk).a little tip,if you want some then tell your Dr, your going on a holiday & u are scared of flying, its what they gave you for it FACT, well they do in UK, but u only get like 6 5mgs,better than nothing
You need help with coming off any drug. Why are you doing this alone?Watching you suffer and worry baby makes me cry. Please be careful..btw I've been on them since 1998 but I've never had problems with staying on dose.Good luck.
I have been on prozac for over five years and this has just started happening to me. The weirdest thing is that even though it has a half-life of a month, I feel the effects after literally one missed dose. I'm on Fluoextine (30mg).. does anybody else get this?
I used it yesterday for the first time, got all dizzy first like your really really drunk, but still aware that your motorics are disturbt, when your drunk you don't. Then i got sleepy and i didnt slept that good in months. Took something now before going to bed. The danger of it is that when your really hoocked on it and u want to get off it. U going to experience the same of getting of heroin, ( which by heroin just takes a week or so.)
6 years on klonopin so far up to 2mg 3x daily and I honestly feel like I'm losing my mind and my anxiety keeps coming back 1-2 months after my dose has been upped. If I don't take them for a day I cant function what so ever as to even get out of bed. Suicidal thoughts race through my mind and I do not suffer from depression. I've tried to come off of them but I'm a different person on and off them. This drug is a nightmare.
What I meant to say is that i'm not trying to belittle your experience. I'm sure you had a rough go of it. You just did it wrong. Demonizing the drugs and the psychaitrist isn't going to change that. Benzodiazepines are very helpfull for some people. Before benzos i couldn't function, go out, talk to people, or do anything really. Now I can do all those things and more. So theres a flip side what you're portraying. Yes, there are dangers, but only if your a moron.
@munkfunk123 Thanks but it's already too late. My body has already formed a physical dependence on the benzodiazepines and I cannot stop or i'll get seizures. I'm currently in talks with my psychiatrist though about getting off of them by slowly reducing the dose... as should be done when you're getting off benzos after long term use. Its already too late my friend, far, far too late.
@TomBom14 never to late, dont be silly. If you reduce slowly and correctly you will be fine, some of your comments on here are totally wrong btw I dont want to mess with what you think you know but going up and down with your dose when reducing is one of the worst things you can do, you must reduce then stick to the tapering method you must also never take a dose to early this can be just as bad as going up and down on your doses 8-12 hrs between preferably 12 hrs, how many mill are you on atm?
@munkfunk123 I take 2 mg of clonazepam 3 times a day, so to taper off i'd have to remove a 0.5mg from one dose, wait a few weeks, then remove a 0.5 from another dose, then wait a few weeks, etc. thats what the doctor says anyway. But He doesn't want me to get off of them right now.
Note that I did this without consulting my psychiatrist and probably should have first. Anyway I decided after 3 or so months of reducing my dosage that I needed the benzos for my anxiety so now i'm back up to my full dose. WhereI sit at that dose, I am comforatable and my anxiety symptoms are generally better then before i was on it. Its different for everyone. I'm belittling your experience however what I am saying is that you reduced too fast, and you could have reduced it more reasonably
Benzodiazpine reduction is supposed to be VERY slow, and when your withdrawal effects are too severe you up the dosage a bit, not back to where it was but somewhere in between. I'm currently on 6mg of clonazepam a day, 2 mg 3 times a day, and was able to reduce my dosage gradually to the point where I was only taking 3mg a day, and i did that by reducing the dose by 0.5mg OR LESS, every 2 to 3 weeks. The only withdrawal effects I experieced was my anxiety starting to return.
Sorry but you tried to reduce your dosage too fast and thats why your having such severe side effects. Instead of reducing a full milligram what you should have done is reduce by half a milligram, under the supervision of your psychiatrist. And if your psychiatrist told you to reduce a full milligram then you need a new psychiatrist. If you were getting to the point where you thought you were going to have a seizure it was your own fault for not adding half a milligram back to your dosage.
dude your brain is fucked......you said you'd be talking fast so I might wanna rewind?? Dude you are talking weird and not fast......go do some cognitive therapy.......honestly stop taking drugs and try other ways to sort yourself out
@Drobium77 Do you go to the gym? Do you clean your house? Do you eat properly? Do you do any cognitive therapy? Do you do anything else but take another frigging pill to counteract other frigging drugs?? Drug addiction isn't just physical.........most of it is mental!!!
@silverchinchilla007 I work a manual job, I eat very properly and never junk food.
I do all my own housework, shopping and what have you.
Sometimes you have to go down certain paths to get to an 'ends'.
May I ask why you are so hostile?
Believe me I know all about drug addiction and yes, most of it is mental, but some of us don't have the right mental makeup in the first place. Some of us have ALWAYS been depressed or anxious, is that you?
@Drobium77 I didn't mean it to sound hostile, it just annoys me that people think by taking another drug it will help to come off a drug.......I have suffered from both yes and still do at times but drugs don't really help.......cognitive therapy is the only sure long term help......it is a life long practice but becomes easier and easier as you see the benefits.......You don't sound fucked I apologise for that comment......but you need to get off the drugs wether it messes with you or not......
@silverchinchilla007 Cognitive therapy will not help with neurological issues. Anxiety for most are people who can't deal with life on their own and can be helped by working out problems with a trained professional. If your GABA neural receptors (or the neurotransmitter itself) is misbehaving, then that is a job for medicine and hopefully one day neuroscience will eliminate the need for bathing the problems in medicine. Until then, you are in no position to diagnose the proper treatment.
its the chemical money makers who gain from testing us all on there so called wonder drugs.....they screw you up more,,and being a ex heroin addict I know my stuff...these pills are just as bad...with one difference.....they are legal!
i took the clonazepam--half of one actually it was HORRIBLE..i stopped taking it...I now take xanax--a quarter and some days I can go without it...but I am worried as to why this happened to you...
...it was, however, still bad. but it was not as bad absolutely, and i also knew what to expect. so there's a good chance that your second 1mg step down won't be as bad as the first, and so on. another thing, you might think the symptoms will NEVER go away. they will. you just have to exercise incredible patience. best of luck to you. to everyone else: take the hint. pick another poison.
to the video owner: here's something to encourage you to press on. i started out intending to quit cold turkey from 3.5mg xanax/day. after 2 weeks i ended up in the emergency room from a dangerous bout of paranoia and related behavior. they gave me atavan, another benzo and 8 1mg xanax pills. so i went down in two big steps, about equal in size, the second step starting after i ran out of the pills from the hostital. the second step wasnt so bad as the first...
Poison. Friend of mine is on this crap and the doctors decided to change meds. He is now in the ICU in a coma due to seizures from withdrawal. He may not survive..
@mikefiftynine Of course bud.. don't you know people addicted to Xanax and such who stop without weening their dosage most likely go into seizures? The only withdrawals I know of that won't kill you are opiate withdrawals (they just suck hardcore, more than being sick with the fever and flu combined.)
To the owner - I hear you on the withdrawals man, it sucks.. but just bear through it. I'm scared half to death of opiate withdrawals and I'm slowly weeing off 75mg plus oxy a day.
please no stories of someone being on 20 mgs of alprazolam for 10 years who stops and has a grand mal to prove ur point . doesn't happen ok? most get off BZDs without any trbl at all
@mikefiftynine From Xanax and other drugs like it, yes. You don't know what you're talking about.. it's printed ON the label that a doctor needs to correctly ween you off the drug or the withdrawals can cause seizures.
@mikefiftynine Strictly doctor prescribed benzos, anti-depressants and pain killers. All prescribed by a doctor. and administered by a registered nurse. Completely controlled conditions in a nursing facility and no alcohol or any non-prescribed drugs involved.
these pills are amazing taken short term only, i been on em since 20 yrs old and im now 38 i cannot get off em !!!! im totaly addicted and am terrified to come off them. answer dont take em every day just once in a while !!!!! or never !!!
if you have an anxiety problem, 1 Valium 10mg (Roche brand v cookie cut pill only), Only as Needed If needed and you would be ok, not everyday like this junkie. yeah thats abuse, if you have anxiety every single day there is something else causing it. get a good old doctor and not into those new physician networks out there dispensing pills made of chalk and/or fillers.
i was smoking heroin for 7 years, i was addicted with a habit obviously, the worse of cold turkey lasted 5 days, 5 days of hell but then it got a lot easier and after a week human again.
i went on heroin substitutes after failed attempts to get clean.i ended up addicted to buprenorphine which replaced my illegal drug habit with a legal drug habit, i was on the buprenorphine for 4 years and it was so much harder to get off than heroin. big pharma is big money, they want us hooked on their shit.
WHY are you people encouraging him to be a pothead? NOW'S NOT THE TIME TO BE SMOKING WEED! HAVEN'T YOU NOTICED HOW ILLUSIONAZIS AND THEIR MIND TOOLS HAVE SWITCHED TO MEDICAL MARIJUANNA?????
My skin will never be the same from stopping this drug cold turkey. Serious shit. I went from seven life threatening RX drugs to one natural solution replaced them all...MARIJUANA. Not a lie...Marijuana saved my life!
@asipherd you merely replaced one...seven addictions for ANOTHER addiction. G'ment's spraying marijuanna with mold, remember THAT the next time you light up.
@astormyday If you think marijuana and all the pills I was taking have the same addictive properties, you are sadly and severely misinformed. Coming from somebody who has gone through it I can tell you that there are no physical addictive properties of marijuana. Never after stopping marijuana have I ever been afraid for my life. Hearing that sort of ignorance infuriates people in my position. Marijuana is a medical miracle and the government is ruining it. Properly grown Pot can save the world!
@astormyday I have a very strong mind actually. I tried years of different medicine and nothing works like marijuana and it also happens to be the safest BY FAR. Making yourself healthy is a very important thing and I don't understand why people would be so against such a healthier solution. If I could stay sober and live a normal life I would but I'm not that lucky. I need medicine to live and this is the one for me. Why is that such a horrible thing? Kick a man when he's down? WOW...Nice guy.
@asipherd "Kick a man when he's down?" NO, THAT Wasn't My Intention. I Apologize For Saying You Have A Weak Mind, After I Posted It, I Regretted It. That's Why I Made The Second Comment!:) The Methods You Are Using, Only Address The Symptoms, NOT The Cause(s). ". I need medicine to live ..." Where Does That Come From, Physicians?
@astormyday I don't recall saying anything about smoking anything...There are several ways of getting the medical effects of marijuana without ever inhaling smoke. Do your research on subjects before you go around acting like you know what you're talking about. It is medicine and I use it for all the things I used Big Pharma for but this medicine i have found to have no negative side effects. All I ask is that you do your research before u make a bigger ass out of yourself. Conform to knowledge.
@astormyday You need to pay more attention...You must be thinking of a different comment. Looks at the comments and you will see that the first comment I left said that I USE marijuana for medicine. I never said anything about smoking and I never encouraged anybody to do anything directly. Read the comments and then apologize...
@asipherd I Went Back 1 Month, TheOnly Comment I Saw Was The One I Replied To, Where You Stated, "My skin will never be the same from stopping this drug cold turkey. Serious shit. I went from seven life threatening RX drugs to one natural solution replaced them all...MARIJUANA. Not a lie...Marijuana saved my life!"
Why not gradually decrease dosage, the way you gradually increased it, why did you go from 4 mg to 3 mg? why not 4 mg to 3.75 mg, 3.75mg to 3.5mg, 3.5 mg to 3.25 mg, etc 0?
Although I'm Sure I Wouldn't Have To Look Too Far To Locate An (Unfilled) Prescription, I've Taken Less Than 2mg In 2011. I can't imagine ANY DOCTOR I've Ever Seen prescribe 4 mg., let alone 8 mg. a day. Sorry to say, but whoever prescribed the lethal doses of "K" is somewhat irresponsible. Eventhough towards the end, my script was for 1 mg. 3x Day, I rarely took more than 2 mg In a day. My current physician says It's good that I no longer have a need to take it. "K" causes WIERD Dreams too
I've Not Found It Necessary To Continue To Take The Drug b/c From The Beginning I KNEW The solutions to life's problems AREN'T IN ANY BOTTLE OR IN A BAG. THAT STUFF IS SOOOO Adictive and Dangerous! I watched an hbo special, (BEFORE I Gave Up The TV Habit) showing how heroin junkies on methadon, mix "K" with their methodone that results in a HEROIN-LIKE HIGH. The person then took methodone And "K" on film To Show Viewers. After he took it the filming had to be stopped until the next day!
I took that same, anxiety reducing drug for 10 years. I researched it when I first started taking it .5 mg. so I KNEW how extremely addictive it was and my doctor also told me the dangers. At the end of my taking it (I think I'm Done) I had a scrip for 1mg 3x a day, (Unknown to my psysician) I was only taking it If I were being overwhelmed by "anxiety" Not necessarily as prescribed and each month (During Menses) I would stop taking it for 3-5 days.
What an annoying and disappointing video. You seem to get off looking at yourself, you are talking to yourself. Also you promised to talk fast, you talk like your educating a 4-year-old.
i took 2x5mg nervium brandname of diazepam in turkey. And 30mins ago 1mg aprazolam brandname xanax i love thoose pills because they make me like cotton. But you must allways be carefull whit benzodiazepines it can be very bad ending at the end. thanks. fuck im down....
@KCAnthoney Yes, they do. Maybe not the doctor prescribing (probably) but, the system that employs that doctor most certainly does. Man made drugs are just that, man made. They are made to profit from, not heal. Let alone the fact that it helps the bullshit court/justice system along nicely. There are many ways the system entraps/kills you, pharmaceuticals are but only one. Find another path. You don't want to lose everything, believe me. There is always another way.
I use 5mg when I can't sleep or when I am very nervous... never consume everyday 'cuz toleration and risk of overdose. NEVER consume with alcohol... NEVER! :S
you take way too much! i take 2 1mg per day (Clonazepam and im fine) and trust me i have taken ALLOT and ALLOT od different pills ans street drugs...i can tell you take way to much..your rambling on.....and you talk slow and you seem drunk..seem like a great guy thats not what im saying but i hope you can "ween" yourself off slowly..good luck kid!
Benzo's should be way way way way more tightly regulated. The truth is that pharmaceutical companies make so much money off of them that it would be a bad "business" move to start adopting good morals.
High up board members in the FDA probably have shares in Roche Pharmaceuticals, doctors maybe have some sort of secret society where they clan together and decide to give out heaps of prescriptions. Who the F&*% knows. I smell foul play.
How many prescribers does it take to get one to actually help you? is it possible for a doc to tell the truth? or should I tell them would like to switch to valium instead of ativan and taper off behind there backs? I see the taper schedule online and when I tried cold turkey learned a very valuable lesson. These physciatric prescibers are just doing theyre job but damnit enough is enough!
@datalicus You know, I've never understood why people like you comment on things you have no information on. Do you know anything about my life? No. I'm on a Temazepam script for insomnia and anxiety, I take it everyday. I know what withdrawal feels like, cause I've been there. Cannabis has been proven to ease the symptoms of withdrawal, as it calms and relaxes you. Do some research before you start calling people idiots.
@zeroTJseven Shame.... I was addicted to Benzos for 15 years, so I HAVE done my research. And weed DOES NOTHING when in acute withdrawal. Grow up and don't tell people do "do their research" when they know FAR more about the subject that you.
@datalicus Look, I didn't come here for an argument, I merely made a comment. You're telling me to grow up? You jumped straight in calling me an idiot and a weed, that right there shows your maturity. You know nothing about me or how much information I know on this subject, if you don't believe what I say, that's fine, I don't care, believe what you want. Maybe you should take some more and chill yourself out a bit.
@zeroTJseven I didn't call you a weed buddy. What I said is that "weed" doesn't help with acute withdrawal. Besides, you were the one who replied to me and said I should "do some research before I say something", so why did you say that? Benzos don't work at ALL after about 4 months, FACT!. All they do is hold off withdrawal. I'm sorry that you took my very helpful and medically accurate first comment so badly, I was actually sympathizing. Maybe it's you who needs to chill a bit.
@zeroTJseven You replied to me saying "You know nothing about me or how much information I know on this subject" and yet that's exactly what you said to ME when you replied to my comment on how dangerous Benzos are, so why are you being a hypocrite? You also "know nothing about me or how much information I know on this subject", so you should hold your tongue when dealing with strangers.
@zeroTJseven This was how you started your message which was a reply to a comment I made: "You know, I've never understood why people like you comment on things you have no information on." So, again I say, grow up and take your OWN advice.
The effects are similar to alcohol and I'm not a alcoholic. Just don't let the drug control you and make you depend on it for everyday living. If you depend on it, then you're addicted and need to seek help. It's similar to overeating to get that satisfaction, craving filled. You got to fight that feeling and do something to divert the urge. IMPORTANTLY - NO NEGATIVE THOUGHTS! Good Luck! Thanks for posting, bro!
@ronquillo510 : Rubbish, alcohol does not cause these symtoms are 3 weeks of "normal use". Benzos may FEEL like alcohol, but what they're doing to your receptors is NOTHING like alcohol.
I've been on 15 miligrams of Methadone since I was 20. I'm now 28 and have tried to get off it many times, could not sleep and the withdraws were extreme. I also had problems with Benzos and the withdraws were horrible also. i was doing about 4 to 8 miligrams of Xanax or Vailum a day. I was able to kick the Benzos and will never touch those little pills again. Now i just have to get off the Methadone, it's very tough.
Good luck man, it's hard to get clean. I've learned the hard way
Just to clarify something about anxiety, especially Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety disorder, and chronic insomnia.
People who suffer from these have one of 3 possible congenital problems with their bodies. Either too few GABA receptors in the nervous system, or badly functioning GABA receptors, or a dysfunctional endocrine system, resulting in too little GABA, the neuro transmitter that calms you down. Unfortunately, there is no real fix, only coping methods like CBT.
I can guarantee that this is NO exaggeration at all. I have seen people, including my father, have seizures, even when TAPERING off Clonazepam, with UNBEARABLE anxiety, complete insomnia that lasts MONTHS sometimes until some people even die, just Google it.
Some people are more prone to the extended withdrawal, it's genetic according to recent research. They are HIGHLY toxic for many people and actually slowly degrade your entire nervous system, even your other organs.
ur cute..i wrk in a pharmacy and dispense these drugs all the time sooooo many people take benzos,,drs keep writin and writin them its ashame..but good luck.
I am one of those people for whom stopping benzos was no problem at all. Too me gthis all seems like exaggerations. However people are different and it if happens to you it'a real. Benzos are sneaky they don't seem like much but they are potent. Dose escalation without telling someone is not good.
I went to my doctor about sleep and he warned me that the hypnotic pills re addictive and will stop working after a while. He prescribed me just 4 pills of zopiclone just to temporarily get some sleep. The shit didn't really help me get to sleep, it made me feel kinda stoned and I had problems walking (like a drunk). I've got two left, but I think I'll just take them recreationally, as the doctor said, they are useless for achieving deep REM sleep.
Reducing by an entire milligram is pretty big. I went from two .5 mg. pills a day (1mg.) for six months to one and a half .5 mg. So I only reduced by .25. mg. It has been almost a month and I'm freakin' miserable. I'm afraid to go down in dosage because I'm still feeling so bad. Exercise is helping a little. I see you posted a while back. How did your tapering process end up going?
300 lEuro from black market, because the german docs stop descripe it from one day to the other. I know that i cant get away, i tried everything. thank for your video
Hi, greetings from germany, please excuse my bad english. I just want to say that Iam never been someone who takes hard drugs (just beer and maybe a joint. I have to talk for many people for my job. I coulnt sleep and i was anxious. I take lXanax for 5 years, highest was 8 pills 1mg, now iam return to 5, but it ishell, i never thought that i can feelthat way. I read to you, because you are intelligent and proud, also thaln i think that i was, now my life is going to go down, i paid every month
i am tappering off of clonazapam also...its a long road, i tried detox and had all the worst stuff that you can find in youtube,,,so i am tappering..so far so good..i am down from 4 miligrams to 12 miligrams a day to 2.5 in a day its a evil drug....i use prayer lots of prayer....I asked Jesus to help me ...God....thru Hell i am walking too my tapperr will take me till next year
My doctor prescribed this stuff 3 times a day for months. Good God it I had done that I would have had to go through hell to get off it. I know someone who got sick after quitting and the doctor told him it's because he needs to keep taking it. I don't know if these physicians are ignorant or just evil. One thing I do know is that our doctors work for the pharmaceutical monsters.
It gives me a warm and fluffy feeling. But you must be careful because you develop the tolerance to it and then you'll need more. Then you're addicted and will suffer withdrawal when you stop taking it. I just keep it in my medicine cabinet for rare anxiety occasions. I've never taken it regularly because I watched videos like this one and so I was educated about the dangers. Thank you so much for making this video. You are saving many people a lot of pain.
Prescribed Nitrazipam 5mg 1 per day again. I am now buying peoples scripts again i took 14 in one go again today and i can feel them getting hold of me again, i am getting the horrid twitches when i am sleeping again and sweating and have that desperate craving again when i dont have them for a while. I can't believe i have been so stupid after beating the addiction. Believe me as an ex heroin addict benzo withdrawl is 100 times worse. Your video is so true and i pray u beat it good luck. Marie.
Hi, i was addicted to benzo's for 10 years, i bought illegal off the street which had been made in back street labs abroad and was prescribed 5mg nitrazipam from my gp. i was so ill from the withdrawl i was taking up to 50 10mg diazipam in a week 20 at a time. I had to get off them because social services were going to take my daughter. I stopped Jan 31st 2011 and went through hell i thought i wa going to die. I stayed clean for 8 months when my gran was diagnosed with Luekemia and my doctor...
I was out here looking for info. You are beautiful inside & out. Thank you for doing something so obviously difficult for you. You are smart and well-spoken. Perhaps you should become a doctor yourself and help put an end to this for others like yourself and mine. I'v been on it for about 5 yrs--I guess I'm screwed!
check out psychotropic drugs and their effect on the pharmaceutical industry. its all a HUGE marketing scam. nearly every medical commercial is based on mental health conditions and how well they can convince you that you really have a problem when you DON'T. everyone has a little ocd, adhd, and anxiety; we as a human race have just lost the effort to cope due to our instant gratification era.
benzos kill your motor skills and memory. It literally retards [To slow, to impede] your brain.

MrTrullyjustbrowsing 15 hours ago
Yeah I kicked cold turkey 14 days of hell. The 1 thing I will always remember is I was so bad on Xanax that my wife told me, all she wood ever hear is "click, click, click" and that was me counting my pills and dropping them bak into the pill bottle I wood do this 10-20 times a day. I could not live without these things. There only 2-3 bux, but when you are doing 15-20 a day. It adds up, and the whole tolerance thing. I always hear people say tapering off is possible.I do not agree with that.
DARRINCONNOR1 2 days ago
Very true, been on 4-6mg of clonazepam for a year and a half, Im down to two 7.5mg tranxenes(clorazapate, which is metabolized to desmethyldiazepam and has a long half life) I am also 2 months into being off methadone after being on that for 4 years, going thru both. This whole thing is driving me nuts, benzos are poison, if taken for longer than say 2 weeks. methadone and benzo w/d at the same time... need I say more?
MrIntedomine 2 days ago
He is describing (very simply) the concept of "tolerance," which occurs with long term use of most drugs. You need more and more because you develop a resistance to the amount you are taking = "tolerance."

So taper them off slowly and don't give advice as long as you don't know very well how they works ,most people that are using them don't do it cause the like but the need so don't make them feel more afraid and have more anxiety .otherwise you look cool and don't think too much negative .sorry i am not a native english speakers

Now I took it sometimes, neurosis is hell for me. I hope that the therapy will help me and one day I'll live normal without any drugs. It's so hard to live with that. But I don't want to be an addict.

@gina2190 why would i do that? u sound like one of those cult zealots that hate doctors
mikefiftynine 1 week ago
They aren't "extremely dangerous" unless you're a junkie and overdose. I've worked in medicine for 7 and a half years, there are legal drugs (Schedule 8 drugs.. "S8's") like Oxycontin that IS street legal heroin. Valium and most other benzodiazepams are Schedule 4 drugs.. weak sauce compared to what drug addicts "Doctor shop" for.
Valium, Hypnodorm and other benzos are for the same group of people that get off on Codeine.. people that abused their pain medication to the point of dependance.
xxxserialxxx 2 weeks ago
@xxxserialxxx well, i find it sad how ignorant you are considering the fact that you've supposedly worked in medicine for a while. you said "They aren't extremely dangerous unless you're a junkie and overdose"-wow. do i even need to explain to you how genuinely stupid that sounds? fact: anyone can overdose on the benzos. ANYONE. in fact, a junkie is less likely to overdose because his tolerance is much higher than an occasional user. so you're dead fucking wrong about that.
azurenscens 2 weeks ago
@xxxserialxxx you seem to be trying to misinform people by making it seem that benzos aren't as destructive as opiates when the TRUTH is that benzos are both physically and psychologically addictive, just like opiates and therefore are just as potentially harmful.
in fact, some make the argument that it's harder to get off benzos because they think the withdrawal symptoms or detoxification process is harder to endure.
your stupidity amazes me. go educate yourself.
azurenscens 2 weeks ago
@azurenscens As I said, 7 years of work in the medical field dealing with benzo addicts as well as the ones sekking MUCH stronger and MUCH more deadly drug.
I also have experience with a benzo addiction myself, dickbag, it's one of the 'perks' for a drug addict working at a place with stocks of Valium, Codeine.. whatever I wanted.. I'm clean now but that isn't the point.
Why don't you go pretend you know everything somewhere else. I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

These guys talking shit diazepam is no-were near as addictive as Herion, not even close, Im a recovering heroin addict and trust me, Heroin is the most addicted drug on the planet, closely followed by crack & coke! wheres he getting these facts? im not disputing valuim aint addictive, it is,but not to the extent that heroin is, heroin is a fucking evil drug that will take all your earthly possions, your friends will go, so will most of your family until it gets what its really after..your life!
weeleon81 2 weeks ago
@weeleon81 diazapam is long lasting much greater than heroin and I agree with you in the sense that you dont really crave a valium buzz like heroin but however when you stop it will be the same if not worse than heroin I have done both and am speaking from experience valium is harder to quit as the withdrawls are worse but once youve stopped you aint going back there but with heroin well thats a different story when you quit you know one you'll be back to the depths of hell.
munkfunk123 2 weeks ago
@weeleon81 You have noooooooooo idea of the danger you are in. Goodluck as you're going to need it. Benzo's will take your possessions, family, friends, career and anything else you hold near and dear. You think you are smart, well just remember once you try and get off, you will wish you were dead. It will last for years too.
decoderchick99 2 weeks ago
been taking valuim for 15years (always brought of the street!)..

TomBom14 1 month ago 7
@TomBom14 you are heading for a terrible path my friend please quit benzos before its to late!
munkfunk123 2 weeks ago
@munkfunk123 Thanks but it's already too late. My body has already formed a physical dependence on the benzodiazepines and I cannot stop or i'll get seizures. I'm currently in talks with my psychiatrist though about getting off of them by slowly reducing the dose... as should be done when you're getting off benzos after long term use. Its already too late my friend, far, far too late.
TomBom14 2 weeks ago
@TomBom14 never to late, dont be silly. If you reduce slowly and correctly you will be fine, some of your comments on here are totally wrong btw I dont want to mess with what you think you know but going up and down with your dose when reducing is one of the worst things you can do, you must reduce then stick to the tapering method you must also never take a dose to early this can be just as bad as going up and down on your doses 8-12 hrs between preferably 12 hrs, how many mill are you on atm?
munkfunk123 2 weeks ago
@munkfunk123 I take 2 mg of clonazepam 3 times a day, so to taper off i'd have to remove a 0.5mg from one dose, wait a few weeks, then remove a 0.5 from another dose, then wait a few weeks, etc. thats what the doctor says anyway. But He doesn't want me to get off of them right now.
TomBom14 2 weeks ago
Note that I did this without consulting my psychiatrist and probably should have first. Anyway I decided after 3 or so months of reducing my dosage that I needed the benzos for my anxiety so now i'm back up to my full dose. WhereI sit at that dose, I am comforatable and my anxiety symptoms are generally better then before i was on it. Its different for everyone. I'm belittling your experience however what I am saying is that you reduced too fast, and you could have reduced it more reasonably
TomBom14 1 month ago
Benzodiazpine reduction is supposed to be VERY slow, and when your withdrawal effects are too severe you up the dosage a bit, not back to where it was but somewhere in between. I'm currently on 6mg of clonazepam a day, 2 mg 3 times a day, and was able to reduce my dosage gradually to the point where I was only taking 3mg a day, and i did that by reducing the dose by 0.5mg OR LESS, every 2 to 3 weeks. The only withdrawal effects I experieced was my anxiety starting to return.
TomBom14 1 month ago
Sorry but you tried to reduce your dosage too fast and thats why your having such severe side effects. Instead of reducing a full milligram what you should have done is reduce by half a milligram, under the supervision of your psychiatrist. And if your psychiatrist told you to reduce a full milligram then you need a new psychiatrist. If you were getting to the point where you thought you were going to have a seizure it was your own fault for not adding half a milligram back to your dosage.
TomBom14 1 month ago

The kratom will fill the gap and you'll be able to WD alot less harshly and in your own time not the benzoe's.
I started taking kratom to get rid of my alcohol addiction with almost gave me liver failier.
I hate the WD's but They are a walk in the park compared to benzoes.
You'll be able to beat this shit dude, honestly....god speed.

silverchinchilla007 1 month ago
@silverchinchilla007 I work a manual job, I eat very properly and never junk food.
I do all my own housework, shopping and what have you.
Sometimes you have to go down certain paths to get to an 'ends'.
May I ask why you are so hostile?
Believe me I know all about drug addiction and yes, most of it is mental, but some of us don't have the right mental makeup in the first place. Some of us have ALWAYS been depressed or anxious, is that you?
If not, try not to judge so harshly.
Drobium77 1 month ago
@Drobium77 I didn't mean it to sound hostile, it just annoys me that people think by taking another drug it will help to come off a drug.......I have suffered from both yes and still do at times but drugs don't really help.......cognitive therapy is the only sure long term help......it is a life long practice but becomes easier and easier as you see the benefits.......You don't sound fucked I apologise for that comment......but you need to get off the drugs wether it messes with you or not......
silverchinchilla007 1 month ago
@silverchinchilla007 Cognitive therapy will not help with neurological issues. Anxiety for most are people who can't deal with life on their own and can be helped by working out problems with a trained professional. If your GABA neural receptors (or the neurotransmitter itself) is misbehaving, then that is a job for medicine and hopefully one day neuroscience will eliminate the need for bathing the problems in medicine. Until then, you are in no position to diagnose the proper treatment.

it also screws your natural brain chemistry up.
this is what they give to little autistic kids along with there anti-psychotics.

You can throw then away and hava panic attacks instead. Of course you must attack the cause and not the synthom. Untill there...

gazozisteyenvarmi 2 months ago
@KCAnthoney Yes, they do. Maybe not the doctor prescribing (probably) but, the system that employs that doctor most certainly does. Man made drugs are just that, man made. They are made to profit from, not heal. Let alone the fact that it helps the bullshit court/justice system along nicely. There are many ways the system entraps/kills you, pharmaceuticals are but only one. Find another path. You don't want to lose everything, believe me. There is always another way.

@zeroTJseven : You're an idiot and HAS NO IDEA about BENZO withdrawal after extended use, you wont even THINK about weed, you weed!
datalicus 2 months ago
@datalicus You know, I've never understood why people like you comment on things you have no information on. Do you know anything about my life? No. I'm on a Temazepam script for insomnia and anxiety, I take it everyday. I know what withdrawal feels like, cause I've been there. Cannabis has been proven to ease the symptoms of withdrawal, as it calms and relaxes you. Do some research before you start calling people idiots.
zeroTJseven 2 months ago
@zeroTJseven Shame.... I was addicted to Benzos for 15 years, so I HAVE done my research. And weed DOES NOTHING when in acute withdrawal. Grow up and don't tell people do "do their research" when they know FAR more about the subject that you.
datalicus 1 month ago

Kind Regards
datalicus 1 month ago
@zeroTJseven You replied to me saying "You know nothing about me or how much information I know on this subject" and yet that's exactly what you said to ME when you replied to my comment on how dangerous Benzos are, so why are you being a hypocrite? You also "know nothing about me or how much information I know on this subject", so you should hold your tongue when dealing with strangers.
datalicus 1 month ago

Good Luck! Thanks for posting, bro!
ronquillo510 2 months ago

I've learned the hard way

jupitercrash07 2 months ago
Just to clarify something about anxiety, especially Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety disorder, and chronic insomnia.
People who suffer from these have one of 3 possible congenital problems with their bodies. Either too few GABA receptors in the nervous system, or badly functioning GABA receptors, or a dysfunctional endocrine system, resulting in too little GABA, the neuro transmitter that calms you down. Unfortunately, there is no real fix, only coping methods like CBT.
datalicus 2 months ago

STOPHAYTIN1 2 months ago
I am one of those people for whom stopping benzos was no problem at all. Too me gthis all seems like exaggerations. However people are different and it if happens to you it'a real. Benzos are sneaky they don't seem like much but they are potent. Dose escalation without telling someone is not good.

Oops, zopiclone is a non-benzodiazepine, but still has a lot of the same effects apparently.

My doctor prescribed this stuff 3 times a day for months. Good God it I had done that I would have had to go through hell to get off it. I know someone who got sick after quitting and the doctor told him it's because he needs to keep taking it. I don't know if these physicians are ignorant or just evil. One thing I do know is that our doctors work for the pharmaceutical monsters.
zoeyjusko 3 months ago

Hey Kaleb,
I was out here looking for info.

So how do you recommend getting rid of anxiety?
