  • what good for frying chicken? veggetable oil or corn oil? cant afford canola/olive and those blend-mix olive is jus mix with cheap oil. if i get canola it must be pure.

  • Expert village sucks. 10 video parts for a simple recipe. It's so unnecessary. And so confusing because you don't know the order.

  • Basically you want your internl temp of the thickest pieces to be 170° F. If your pieces are getting too dark before you reach those temps, then lower the temp of your oil.

    heast your oil to 350° F then add your chicken, then lower heat of your skillet so oil stays at approx 300° F. Once your chicken is nicely browned, the internal temp should be in the ball park of 170.

  • How I do it is I take 3 parts flour to 1 part italian bread crumbs. I add garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper to the dry mix. Then I take eggs, mix them with hotsauce and milk in a saparate bowl. Then I get a frying pan and put about 2 cm of vegetable oil on the bottom. I set the burner on medium. Dipmy fried chicken in the wet mix, and then put it in the dry mix. shake it off, and fry till golden brown. I NEVER have a problem. Always comes out perfect. Better than KFC!

  • Yeah, u cant cook chicken on high heat or it's burnt on the top and bloody inside. I tried med/high heat and had to bake it in the oven. It turned out ok but the crispyness wasnt there. I wish I knew how KFC cooks their chicken.

  • My mother cooked fried chicken every Sunday and made a pan of gravy with some of the drippings. One thing that made her chicken so memorable was she added bacon grease to her oil. Then she would save and chill this oil to use the next week. Throwing out the whole batch of oil once a month. I know there are some who will say that is unhealthy but those were the days and Im here to prove it! LOL
