Dude your not explaining shit! You just doing it, your not telling us how you're doing. e.g. not explain how you do masks, what short cut keys you're using.
Also, you didnt mention anything about business card dimensions, resolution etc.
one cavet though. Watch your fonts. Looks good on a computer screen, but remember the font is going to be awful small when shrunk down to 2 " . Using your font. I print out a sample and could not read the phone number. Also the text color must be easly distinguished from the background. Gray on white doesnt work.
I thought the card looked pretty good when the entire backround became filled in with the photographers image. the colors on the B&W had a real polished pop to it. Can a large image overlap the card, then be trimmed to fit within the bounds of the card. That what cought my eye. Or do you have to resize the image first.
You need to select the shape tool, (U) is the shortcut. Then select custom shape tool at the top of your screen. It looks like a rounded star. Then where it says Shape next to the wierd star, I selected the spiral. You have to make sure you have shape layers turned on also. It's on the left at the top of the screen. Looks like a box with transform controls on all 4 corners. It's to the left of two other boxes, paths layer and fill pixels.
Wouldnt illustrator be better or indesing would be the ebst option?....

Next time, do it a bit slower and show people what you are doing, not what you want to do.
