Although the animation was indeed limited the drawings were not. They showed high quality in the details and perspective. I think that this characteristic as well as the dialogs gave these cartoons the charming that nowadays cartoons dont even have.

The Amazon is marvel's hypolita not DC's which would be in another dimension, therefore not wonder Woman's mother. Thor is sort of the norse equivelent of the greeks zeus. Thor's son was magni the god of strength while zeus son was Herakles the god of strength, Roman mythologys equilvent of zeus was jupiter who was father of Hercules.

I've known this story since it was reprinted early on, but I never saw the animated version till now (that's true of most of them). Hercules is one thing, but how often do you get to see a cartoon Hippolyta? Thank you for posting it.

Thor isn't the 'uncle' of Hercules. Thor's mother is Gaea... Zeus's mother, Rhea,  is Thor's half-sister--Gaea's daughter with a different father (Uranus). Zeus is actually more like Thor's nephew. That would make Herc Thor's distant cousin.

My response was to some poster that had his comments removed. He kept spamming Thor was the uncle of Hercules and that Gaea was the mother of Zeus.

Figuring out family trees of gods is difficult.  I figured the safest best was distant cousin, lol! I didn't think of 'grand nephew', lol! Thanks!

Wowwie! The Mighty Thor and in COLOR!! We only had black and white, so my TV world was shades of gray. Notice the totally crappy limited animation! So bad yet so great. Thanks a bunch for posting this. Oh, is this bad. I love it.
