Thanx for comment. Talk is a 10. But, IMO, find a remaster of Close To The Edge, take an hour to turn out the lights and put the headphones on, crank it up, and I think you might see why this remains their defining work. The preceding work was good and Fragile established them. But CTTE was really the album where Yes became "Yes" and set the musical precedents for all their following work.
Not to argue, Talk is great! But everyone should give CTTE a careful, uninterrupted listen.
I think you mean after 'Talk'? They did Big Generator and Talk after 90125. Rabin had some choice tunes among the mish-mashed Union too. Jon always thought that Yes would continue with different line-ups. But we'll ahve to see if it survives him. The only member that has been on every Yes album was Squire, but that's only because he owns the name. ABWH was really a Yes album.
No, I said the "success" of the band should have continued. Big Generator and Talk were not big successes like 90125, which attracted a new, young audience. I realize that ABWH occured in the late 1980s as well to interrupt that line-up.
You were probably responding to the post where I said "They did Big Generator and Talk after 90125." I was just pointing out that they came after. I remember the night I heard "Owner..." on the radio and realized Yes was back. I hadn't seen them since the Tormato tour and was amazed to hear Jon's voice coming from the radio. haha. It was a pretty ecstatic moment for me.
ein wenig verwackelt aber musikalisch gut gespielt und gesungen

Indeed, the success of this lineup should have continued after 90125. They had a lot to offer the musical world.

OK. I see your point, though I would argue the idea that the subsequent albums were not successes.

I always thought this song was the most pop music sounding that I've heard them play. Still can't help but love it though.
