No wonder the Reds sucked so much back then. If they kicked out the entertainment, quit smoking, and put down the beer bongs they may have won a game or two. Well, probably not....LaRue was on the team!
why are people surprised by this? baseball players aren't saints. they're just guys who happen to be able to throw and hit a ball. guys like to smoke a few, have some beers and listen to some tunes.
Sean Casey also said.."Ten of us were lingering around, getting ready to leave, and Vedder was going to the bathroom," Casey said in this 2007 story. "Jason LaRue walks into the bathroom... He says, 'Hey, Juan Castro's got a guitar in his locker ... you think you could sing a song for us before you leave?'"
Minutes later, Vedder obliged, pulling off a stirring, memorable acoustic rendition of The Beatles' "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" that had the players speechless.
Vedder was born in the Chicago suburb of Evanston, IL and is a huge Cubs fan. His favorite player as a kid was Jose Cardenal. In 2003, Cardenal was on the Reds' coaching staff and one afternoon when Pearl Jam was in town for a concert, Vedder showed up at the ballpark to see his childhood hero. He wound up hanging out with the team and even sang a song in the clubhouse after the game.
This video makes little to no sense at all. For one, why is Eddie Vedder in the Reds lockeroom? Two, why are these athletes smoking and bonging beers in their lockeroom? Finally, Eddie Vedder is a CUBS FAN! Awsome video though!!!

This "setting" doesn't work for me. A bunch of guys (I love the Reds btw) sitting around listening to another man sing to them is somewhat regrettable. That and Eddie Vedder is overrated.
what a beauty

The thing about a description of a video is that it may or may not give extra information about the video. ;)

The Guy sitting on the left is Chris Reitsma. I think the guy on the right is Todd Van Poppel, kind of looks like him.
