Cigarettes, alcohol, they're all legal yet they're killing lots of people each year so why can't they just legalize the rest of the drugs? The world would be the same... To an extent, BUT, if the rest of the drugs were legalized then the price would probably be decreased, drug lords would lose money because everyone could get their hands on it. Also, the government could control it, tax it and they would get all the money. So, really there's no winning unless my math is wrong (no math involved)

Jesus fucking christ you people are completely dense. Abolishing prohibition doesnt necessarily mean legalization, just a different approach towards the rehabilition of addicts. I'd like to cite Switzerland's example where pure heroin can be prescribed for addicts, and has halved drug related petty-crime and overall cost of addicts to society since the 2000s. Of course, being decent conservative Americans, you don't give a shit about addicts because they deserve to rot and die. Right?

@anestos21 I'm not so sure about that, just because prohibition doesn't work very well doesn't mean legalization will work the other way around, also if it become legal it will be even easier to access and will just be standardized and then people will think it's ok and probably harmfull to use it imo... instead we should just try to inform people about these drugs, I mean even weeds can have irreversible impact on your memory if you smoke regularly 4 about 6month.. most people don't know that!

Show me a study that support your claim for persons above the age of 21.

The money the government would earn on legal drug trade would ofc be used to educate people to not take drugs but also how to use different drugs responsibly. If you look at countries like Chile, Portugal, Holland and Spain, you won't see these "Its okay to use hard drugs" mentalities nor an increase in the actual number of users.
