  • Hey man, just got one of these, wondering if you use a mic to record it with? I don't like the sound I'm getting direct. I absolutely love the guitar though

  • @MattAnthonyMusic I'm using the Zoom Q3HD now...works perfectly

  • @guitarsaddle Wow! I just got one of those too haha. So how do you get more volume from the Zoom? I recorded something but it doesn't have alot of volume at all. Do you use the mic gain switches on the side?

  • @MattAnthonyMusic Just switch it to high volume gain and you will be fine..

  • May I ask what song you were singing at 7:00 ish?

  • @TotemManVooDoo Well that's a song that i composed with the chord progression i played..impromtu stuff...i have not finish writing it yet...

  • Are you in singapore? So am i. Ive been looking around for good taylor dealers.

  • @k3rgr4 If you are in Singapore ...the distributor for Taylors here is Sinamex...google them. Yes I'm based in Singapore. Cheers and thanks for tuning in. Jarvis

  • What kind of strings are You using?

    Sounds like Heaven..

  • @LidorElimelechMusic the 814ce had Elixir PB Nanos Light gauge on it..

  • does anyone know what is the difference between 814ce and 914ce ? thanks

  • @castorpollux7 the 914ce is built lighter..better woods and if you play both side by side..the 914ce somewhat has a more complex tone..more refine..much sweeter and overall it looks way better and beautiful compared to an 814ce. If i two to choose from..i will take a 914c over the 814c base on both tone and looks..cheers jarvis

  • @guitarsaddle ....hey thanks for that....i really appreciate it !!

  • no it's not built lighter at all. i was at the taylor road show the other day and i asked the taylor team if the 914 was built lighter and they said no it's the exact same cut of thickness and shape has the 814,but nicer woods. the reason i asked them is i'm buying a B.T.O taylor 814ce with bone nut and saddle and wanted to know if it would sound the same as a 914ce because of the bone nut and saddle. they told me it would sound the same has a 914ce

  • @john814ce i have A/B the old 814ce against a 914ce side by side and the 914ce was way light and also more responsive...but you decide what's best for you..cheers jarvis

  • @john814ce OK Bro you win man...anyway ..just had a 2011 914ce in and i will do a review these few days plus I will A/B compare with a 1996 914c..its gonna be an interesting review..cheers Jarvis

  • Omy, I'm so envious that u get to play these guitars! Only been able to go down to the Taylor shop and tried some of them. Hey, im fr S'pore too:)

  • i'm posting all over the net, i bought this guitar last week and it is incredible sounding, i'm not a spammer for taylor!

  • I bought a Taylor 814ce last week after playing over 200 guitars in music stores. this was something the owner brought out after I had turned down every guitar (this was my 2nd store I'd been to). I have a very good ear, trust me. I picked it up, started finger picking it, and it was love. I knew within 10 seconds this was it. this guitar is resonates very well, plays very easily, and is very forgiving. this is the last guitar I'll need to buy. the bass is incredible (6th string)!!!!!

  • Was the FMI an option provided as a build to order? or did it come with the FMI? THx.

  • @Geotubest - its not an option for the FMI saddle.owners send it in to be and I custom handcraft a new FMI saddle to fit every guitar..so that's how I do it..cheers Jarvis from Singapore

  • nice singing jarvis

  • @john814ce no its just the FMI saddle...

  • I wonder how the 814CE will fare against the 114CE basic !

  • @kinnear01234 the 114ce cant compare..man..

  • @guitarsaddle I'll be getting a 114CE really soon. hahaha. I'm a student on a really tight budget. ): And i'm a newbie in guitars , but i want a taylor for playability ! Therefore the 114CE. But priced at 1.4k It's really a lot for a solid top... But the sound is WOWWWWWWW.

  • @kinnear01234 for 1.4k you can get a very good sounding guitar..just get it setup well and it will blow that lowend taylor 114ce which is laminated out of the window

  • @guitarsaddle o.O hmmmmm . hmmmmm . I wonder. But then i went around and tried 1k ranged guitars. So far they can't have the taylor sound D:
