@ploena1 try and find out. But what you should REALLY do is just get the 3.3.1 or whatever the last one before 4.0 is. and use spirit, which takes like 4 seconds.

I think you should try again with blackra1n (as long as you dont have a third gen) I experienced strange problems with finalsn0w, such as the screen going black with the ipod still operable. I fixed with restore/update... but still, it was a problem.

Blackra1n seriously takes like three seconds. just restore/update, then run blackra1n from the site.
