I'm from Kenya and I'd say other west African countries are waaay more popular (and for decades) IN Kenya coz of music (lingala etc.). Only RECENTLY is Nigeria gaining popularity coz of nollywood. Sorry to burst your bubble. I do think Nigeria is doing a fantastic job with movies and many other areas. Pity about the bad publicity (con-men,drug dealers etc). Nigeria is a credit to Africa and we should all encourage each other!
