I got a bunch of the omniglow 6 inch at Walmart after halloween 75% off (a quarter a stick!) Tested and got similar results as you did. Omniglow makes great glowsticks, and they aren't made in china.

I had lightstick I tested but the bed...and 2 weeks later, after the lights were out and my eyes adjusted...I could still see the light coming from it...it wasnt as bright as before...but it was still giving off light 2 weeks later..lol

If you ask me, it appears that the MayDay and Coleman are probably made by the same company/contractor. I think there's only a couple of companies who make those things and package them for different companies.

I like Cyalume glow sticks, they are not as cheap as the MayDay sticks but cheaper than the $3+/stick Coleman.

Cyalume Technolgies (formerly a division of American Cyanamid) still makes the original chem-light, and if you purchase the 6" versions, they sell them in packs of ten, and the price works out to be about 1.25 a piece.

Had a friend in school whose dad used to work for American Cyanamid and he used to bring case of these things home for us kids to play with in the street. Also of note, they are non-toxic, I've eaten the contents of several when I was a kid (less the plastic) and I'm still here

Here is an even better deal i found! Near hallowween time the dollar tree sells two packs for *$1 and they outlast any others on the market the small ones i have tested to last about 24 hours and you can also get 12 inch and they last for days even after they are done they will glow its crazy hope this helps someone :)

It is advisable to keep the mixture away from skin and to prevent accidental ingestion if the glow stick case splits or breaks. If spilled on skin the chemicals could cause slight skin irritation, swelling, or, in extreme circumstances, vomiting and nausea. Some of the chemicals used in older glow sticks were thought to potentially be carcinogens.

@cutlerylover great vid! btw i used to glowstring a lot and my favorite ones wer cyalume chemlights with hexagonal tubes(any brand really) they last for more than 24 hours, bright enough to light a whole room, and theres also ultras which burn for 5 min, at a blinding rate. also heres a tip:most ppl know you can freeze them to extend the life but you can also boil them or sumerge in hot water to make them REALLY bright but it decreases the life..i know too much about glowsticks lol
