not a fan of styles but both wrestlers put on great performances. hiroshi is really buffed out for this match, even his abs, but he's never tamed the waistline. the camera work with styles' hammerlock on hiroshi near the end is excellent. the ending is silly.

hiroshi is also a former college wrestler. may be a fine guy, but aj seems like so many american pros. forgets he is not the show but puts on the show. rarely see that mistake in japanese pro.

@japanpro1 Still, when you say Styles thinks he's the show, don't forget that in America that'd just be a part of his gimmick/heel work. Naturally there would be some vestiges of the american style of working the crowd in the match, although it's a shame that the japanese crowds, especially the NJPW fans seem to barely react to that.

Shelton Benjamin, Elijah Burke, Bobby Lashley, Charlie Haas, Jack Swagger. These former amateur wrestler standouts could match up with Tanahashi in a five star match. The Gold Standard is one exception, the most underrated wrestler who could put on a show, Jack Swagger a former World Champion in the WWE can take the High Flying Star to the limit.

j lost the second half of the first segment, so i don't how we got to this point., but so far it looks like the same junk you get when you mix us pro with japanese. the japanese wrestlers work down to the level and pace of the americans.
