@jackdaw03 There are homophobe just about everywhere you go, but I personally know a lot of EDL members in the Nottingham division and I have known them a long time, they are friends. However I've told them that they bang on about 'our lads' too much, and that they need to work big time on their Diplomacy. I know of one incident (talked about in the EDL forum) where a gay member was verbally attacked and threated for being gay, and there was an outpouring of condemnation for it.
I dont think that is the case. Racism and homophobia are very different prejudices - For example there's a lot of black people in the UK who would qualify as homophobic, but not many of them are racist. And being gay myself I've met plenty of Gay people who certainly are racist. And where I live there's a lot of people who very liberal minded on all issues untill it comes to 'Pakis' - which I have given up trying t stop my mixed race cousins from saying.

Funny im a part of UAF and i have been to many gay pride events, one head speaker for a UAF related party is gay. And we have many supporters from all over the world. While they themselves may not believe in there religion that gay is acceptable, they support those who do, and choose to be gay.

However I've told them that they bang on about 'our lads' too much, and that they need to work big time on their Diplomacy. I know of one incident (talked about in the EDL forum) where a gay member was verbally attacked and threated for being gay, and there was an outpouring of condemnation for it.

Racism and homophobia are very different prejudices - For example there's a lot of black people in the UK who would qualify as homophobic, but not many of them are racist. And being gay myself I've met plenty of Gay people who certainly are racist. And where I live there's a lot of people who very liberal minded on all issues untill it comes to 'Pakis' - which I have given up trying t stop my mixed race cousins from saying.

But at the same time the BNP and EDL aren;t pretending to be protecting minority groups like UAF do, so it's not the same standards expected from them, so what they do counts even more.

Im kinda the same but from the other side. To me properly socialism done in a realistic way is the perfect control on capitalisms spirralling greed. But socialism to me is dependant upon capitalism. We've seen since Thatcher opened the markets just how greedy buisness is. even Maggie was shocked and disgusted being nieve to think they'd be resposible and fair. Let me ask you, if you were to refuse to join in protests aginst say the EDL for ideological reasons how would expect he UAF to react? Because I happen to know only a portion UAF members will support gay rights at say gay pride and say nothing about the the portion of people in UAF who are morally against gay people.
