  • Wow. "I wanna just leave the country." Not take up your responsibility and help stop the shit that's going, but leave those who aren't lucky enough to get out, let them die, and let the destructive powers consolidate with the absense of any dissenters. Birlliant plan.

  • they are so cool xD Meal unite the world :D

the metalheads there are so cool xD

  • That would suck so much to be forced to sing a bunch of bullshit to a leader such as Saddam, but hey, they did what they have to and now look at them

  • wow that headbang was great

  • haha metal in baghdad how about japan

  • Japan? there's a shitload of heavy metal/metal bands in Japan.

  • Damn man u must be american

  • some one call roadrunner or metal blade and get these guys out of there so they can play some metal everywhere

  • They live in New Jersey now

  • r they popular now, and how come they r in new jersey :P

    these guys r awesome

  • I'm not sure what they're up to at the moment, I'll keep an eye out though

I know they escaped to Jordan then Turkey, then an aid agency of some kind relocated them to New Jersey. I spoke to their bassist ages ago on MSN or myspace IM or something, he said they never got to see any of the big western metal bands live up to that point, hopefully being in NJ for a while they've seen a few good gigs & breathed a MASSIVE sigh of relief! Best of luck to them in the future

  • aha this is awsome,, these guys really got the spirit

  • Respect from all Metal heads in Bahrain !!!

It's tough to be a Metalhead in the middle east but to be in Bagdad !! ... You guys are awesome walla .. !

    Great Documentary

  • It's not tough to be one if you know what you're saying/doing. I've been a Metalhead for 7 years now and starting a band soon. I live in Kuwait. My family always give me shit about what I listen to because of tradition and the nature of heavy metal music. One of my best friends is a religious dude, so my point is that you can be whoever and whatever you want no matter where you are.

  • Like you said your family gives you shit, and more shit if you are a girl LOL. Though that was five months ago. We had a Metal gig canceled by the damn government and thats what makes it tough. Steriotyping kinda people are our worst enemy here, but we've leaned not to give a shit xD. Like you said you can be whatever you are no matter where you are. Much respect to you! \m/

  • Lol respect to you too! Yeah the government and public can be really annoying, too. I mainly listen to Death Metal and everyone thinks it's Satan's music and shit just because of the vocals :P When I show anyone a Death Metal video they're like "Fucking amazing guitarwork!!" but when the vocals start they would say "Haram! Fucking Satan!!" lol.

    \m/

  • well said and good luck with your new band... keep us updated if it happens! ya!

    rock 4 ever

  • The best guys in iraq!!

  • Wow! I can't wait to see the rest of this! Is this on DVD? Total props! My question so far is: How did they get instruments, metal t-shirts, metal cd's into the country, under Saddam's regime, and after? In the words of Manowar: "Brothers everywhere - raise your hands into the air

We're warriors, warriors of the world". Respect! Props! Hope some major band will pluck them out of Iraq to open for them on a tour. Someplace on youtube is a documentary on the Dubai concerts. Also good.

  • yeah its avaliable on DVD - u can order it online

  • Metal music. Rock music is great music!

  • respect for then

they risk there life for headbanging

if I was there, i was probably dead

  • Poor dudes, the power failure was so sad man. But they still kept smiling. Respect.

  • this movie shows that metal is world wide!!! Metal is a brotherhood that could never be broken!!!! to our metal brothers in iraq, heres to ya \m/

  • I've come to respect these guys alot! What they do is so awesome! \,,/

  • The fact that all these dudes care about is music. They are no affiliated with any sect or radical jihadist group.

There could be sunni, shiites, jews, christians, atheists and wahhibists there rockin out and I don't think anyone would notice.

  • If ancient mesopotamians had long hair, then its tradition!! so grow that hair !! who cares what some old grey minded goat says about it!!

  • stereotype.

  • * * * * *..........................when all the variuos militia dudes realize they can get rich from Metal, theyll get rid of the stupid guns real fast!

  • the guy at 6:44 LOL

  • they are so lucky they didnt die in iraq some ppl wanted to kill my bro cos he was wearing a T-shirt which got picture of 2pac on it, its crazy out there

tell u what fuck democrasy bush said we got demcracy in iraq what kind of democracy is this???

but good job guys, i hate this kind of music anyway xD

  • your a fuckin idiot

  • f u

  • i admire this guys...

  • these guys have more balls than all the metal bands and audiences at wacken or any other major festival combined

  • Agreed

  • go dudes do not worry everything will be fine

    awesome

  • great moshpit

  • Mad Respect for these dudes! Keep up the good fight!

  • wow huge respect these guys have balls. i have no balls compared to these guys i probably wouldnt do it.

  • wow, that is inspirational. i would be so afraid to do that, but these guys are expressing themselves and doing what they love even though they might die. i have huge respect for these guys

  • i dont care!!!stop comparing who's better or not bitch!!!..the topic here is about freedom,on how heavy metal on baghdad get understand of those warpigs in there. This is not about music war!!..stop comparing them to bangladesh asshole!!!

  • omg they r performing metal in a small conference room and most r sitting in chairs.....realy poor....i feel sad for this guys...but the metal scene is better here in bangladesh...most of the banfladeshi metal bands r better than this band..watch powersurge from bangladesh in youtube

  • yeah bangladesh has some great bands. one of my favorite black metal bands - severe dementia are from there, they are fucking awesome.

the reason acrassicauda sound shit here its because its live quality, try seatching for some studio recorded versions, they sound much better.

  • and believe it or not there are many metal bands in Bangladesh who are even better than sever dementia..but only they haven't got the international popularity as sever dementia has.they are only popular in the Bangladeshi underground music scene as fucking pop, folk and hiphop remains Bangladesh's only mainstream popular music. I hope some1 was making a documentary on Bangladeshi metal music.

  • the world could use alot of metal documentaries from different countries, there are many great bands all over the world who could use some publicity.speaking of which, check out the Broken Silence video i uploaded, its a great ukrainian metal band.

  • i think what really touches people and me is the human aspect of the story. i mean maybe they are not the best band but just their love of music is inspiring and it has had a positive effect on them. great video thank you for uploading

  • is that a fuckin firehouse t- shirt?? that aint metal

  • I wonder if they ever got a contract or some shit and actually made it...

  • the one guy sounds like alexi lahaio

  • Kick ass...

  • yeah look at the moshpit that looks awesome

  • now...this is a god iniciative

  • wish you all the success ..and the keep up the good spirit you ROCK
