Wow. "I wanna just leave the country." Not take up your responsibility and help stop the shit that's going, but leave those who aren't lucky enough to get out, let them die, and let the destructive powers consolidate with the absense of any dissenters. Birlliant plan.
I loke the concept of this documentary but we never really hear the band play. Set up a venue for them or something you dumb fucking gay ass indie film makers. Let them shine if your gonna do a documentary on them
I have too many! Of all time probably Metallica. But I love Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Pantera, Iron Maiden mainly the old school stuff but I also like Devildriver and machine head you?
I'm not sure what they're up to at the moment, I'll keep an eye out though
I know they escaped to Jordan then Turkey, then an aid agency of some kind relocated them to New Jersey. I spoke to their bassist ages ago on MSN or myspace IM or something, he said they never got to see any of the big western metal bands live up to that point, hopefully being in NJ for a while they've seen a few good gigs & breathed a MASSIVE sigh of relief! Best of luck to them in the future
It's not tough to be one if you know what you're saying/doing. I've been a Metalhead for 7 years now and starting a band soon. I live in Kuwait. My family always give me shit about what I listen to because of tradition and the nature of heavy metal music. One of my best friends is a religious dude, so my point is that you can be whoever and whatever you want no matter where you are.
Like you said your family gives you shit, and more shit if you are a girl LOL. Though that was five months ago. We had a Metal gig canceled by the damn government and thats what makes it tough. Steriotyping kinda people are our worst enemy here, but we've leaned not to give a shit xD. Like you said you can be whatever you are no matter where you are. Much respect to you! \m/
Lol respect to you too! Yeah the government and public can be really annoying, too. I mainly listen to Death Metal and everyone thinks it's Satan's music and shit just because of the vocals :P When I show anyone a Death Metal video they're like "Fucking amazing guitarwork!!" but when the vocals start they would say "Haram! Fucking Satan!!" lol.
Wow! I can't wait to see the rest of this! Is this on DVD? Total props! My question so far is: How did they get instruments, metal t-shirts, metal cd's into the country, under Saddam's regime, and after? In the words of Manowar: "Brothers everywhere - raise your hands into the air
We're warriors, warriors of the world". Respect! Props! Hope some major band will pluck them out of Iraq to open for them on a tour. Someplace on youtube is a documentary on the Dubai concerts. Also good.
* * * * *..........................when all the variuos militia dudes realize they can get rich from Metal, theyll get rid of the stupid guns real fast!
they are so lucky they didnt die in iraq some ppl wanted to kill my bro cos he was wearing a T-shirt which got picture of 2pac on it, its crazy out there
tell u what fuck democrasy bush said we got demcracy in iraq what kind of democracy is this???
but good job guys, i hate this kind of music anyway xD
wow, that is inspirational. i would be so afraid to do that, but these guys are expressing themselves and doing what they love even though they might die. i have huge respect for these guys
i dont care!!!stop comparing who's better or not bitch!!!..the topic here is about freedom,on how heavy metal on baghdad get understand of those warpigs in there. This is not about music war!!..stop comparing them to bangladesh asshole!!!
omg they r performing metal in a small conference room and most r sitting in chairs.....realy poor....i feel sad for this guys...but the metal scene is better here in bangladesh...most of the banfladeshi metal bands r better than this band..watch powersurge from bangladesh in youtube
and believe it or not there are many metal bands in Bangladesh who are even better than sever dementia..but only they haven't got the international popularity as sever dementia has.they are only popular in the Bangladeshi underground music scene as fucking pop, folk and hiphop remains Bangladesh's only mainstream popular music. I hope some1 was making a documentary on Bangladeshi metal music.
the world could use alot of metal documentaries from different countries, there are many great bands all over the world who could use some publicity.speaking of which, check out the Broken Silence video i uploaded, its a great ukrainian metal band.
i think what really touches people and me is the human aspect of the story. i mean maybe they are not the best band but just their love of music is inspiring and it has had a positive effect on them. great video thank you for uploading
