@twn5858 If you look closely you will see that the section being cut is the surface mount raceway which is split down the middle. Its not cracked at all. It comes split so you can easily feed the cables in it. The cover lid then snaps on top of the raceway concealing the split. The PVC duct cutting tool is design specifically for this product by the manufacturer. Try watching the video again more closely. Thank you for your concern.
