It's about time that this along with the Tristan with Modl and Vinay was put on dvd by the Berstein estate or by NBC because this is historical and important. Everything Berstein has filmed seems to be on DVD why not this?

Excellent. I always thought that Bergonzi's true forte was in making something wonderful from Verismo/Puccini - he had some difficulty with the great Verdi roles for which he was supposed to be famous (and did superb work)... curious...

This is great Puccini singing - thoughtful etc.

They deserved a complete recording together. I could live without the Bjoerling/De Los Angeles or Callas/Di Stefano sets.

well you can try Bergonzi/Tebaldi, great boheme. But Victoria?Bjoerling is superb, I fell in love with her.... she was every character she sang. Yeah Callas please she was not mimi, in fact she hated the character.
