  • Intro was wrong, and a better "wall of sound" was conspicuously absent. This could have been great, but someone blew it. Too vapid. Some things should be left alone, unless there is an improvement.

  • check out Len Barry's version, too.

  • Wow - always thought The Searchers were the original performers of this; this is even better though.

  • @pilninggas there is another version in here by the searchers now that is closer to the original the orlons version was on an album with odd songs by the rocky fellas and chubby checker

  • @spacepatrolman the instrumental break at 1:16 reminds me of a girl being murdered because one of the girls in the orlons was murderded to death and the cops never solved the crime

  • One of Philadelphia's finest '60s soul groups!

  • luv this!! the Orlions were a very good 60s band I not only luv knock knock but most of there songs

  • Dnload the audio from this vid at tubepull doht cohm.

  • This was the b-side of the Orlon's charting hit, "Bon-Doo-Wah", from mid-1963. About a year later Liverpool's Searchers updated it & had a transatlantic hit. Thanks for posting.

  • I always loved the Orlons since I heard "Don't Hang Up." My sister had the original single.

  • Brilliant version,,top posting again Steve
