  • The big 6 is going back to Michigan, and from what Ive heard its going to a group that will restore it and run it. Its just to big a project for pine creek and too much of a monster for its tracks.

  • @KDET10 when will the 2-8-0 run

  • @Strasburg1991 the 2-8-0 #6 was shipped back to michigan and is no longer at Pine Creek..

  • @KDET10 but will it be fully restored to operation

  • 2-6-2 #26 is not going back to Michigan, the 2-8-0 "Big 6" is, the Quincy and Torch Lake engine from Michigan. 26 is still under "negotiations" for ownership.

  • I realized that just as I posted the comment. The conversation that I had with the Pine Creek was a little confusing.

  • they are going to restore the big 6 right

  • they're going to keep 26 right

  • what's the status of steam

  • It is coming soon. They tell me that it will be up next summer. Come to our Holiday show at InfoAge in December and you can see steam running on the N scale Pine Creek RR.

    Steve

  • what steam engine is it

  • I am not sure, I do know that it will not be the Shay.

  • it could be 26, the torch lake 2-8-0 or Lady edith

  • The steam engine that is being prepared for service has never been on the Pine Creek before. It is a 2-6-0 Mogul #46 with a Porter boiler. The #26 is going back to Michigan because it is too heavy for the track and the Shay needs a new boiler.

  • 26 going to flint

  • Good hand waving !
