So, she has the power of energy projection. Fairly common if you're a Marvel/DC comic book fan. Easily one of the most generic powers, along with heightened strength, agility and flight. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's awesome to have. Just so common to see. Make any sense?

I miss Elle, she was the best character.... Sylar completely lost me when he killed her, I thought he was going to have a kid with her, maybe she was pregnant?! I think she isn't dead, no one ever stays dead around Heroes. Maybe they injected her with Elle's blood and she recovered.... Just a thought
