Thanks to me, the fire brigade was at my student house because everybody upstairs smelt gas leaking.... And down stairs, it was the smell of Durian. I showed the firemen my durian porridge and now even they cant distinguish whether it is the Durian or the Gas. Just to be on the safe side, the firemen wants us to call them again if the smell is still there

When i was a little boy, my family decided to go for our 1st durian plantation outing in KL Malaysia..also our 1st try on that fruit and since then we eat it whenever available...you've got to try it! Its indescribable....the smell better than stinky toufu for sure!

for first timers it smells like poop! but after a while, you'll be more sensitive and will be able to differentiate durian smell from poop.

Yes, it is. But it is somewhat of an acquired taste. I remember when I was a child, everytime my parents bought Durian, I would not dare to eat it. Because it stinked.

It is an acquired taste. Most people love it. But some people HATE it lol. There is no middleground with Durian. You either love it or hate it.

Don't be afraid to try Durian! It's a sweet, creamy, custard fruit that tastes almost exactly like ICE CREAM... but only when it's fresh and ripe! Most people try Durian that is very Veeeeery under-ripe.. and smells/tastes like ASS.

Ever tried to eat a GREEN, under-ripe, banana? Gross eh? The smell and taste are COMPLETELY different than that of it when it's RIPE!

I think my comment had a double meaning to it.

1) no comment because nobody has commented , even after 8.5k views.

2) Because this isnt the most exiting durian experience , there was no reaction and it seems as tho the girl actually liked it. Most people would be expecting a bad reaction and somebody would comment like "Actually durian taste good" and stick up for their background/country/beliefs and now theres someone who actually enjoys it and nobody has commented.. weird ;/
