Not sure how your ignorance regarding the definition of an atheist reflects poorly on the atheist. Is glibness your defense mechanism when you can't understand another person's perspective? Or are you just hoping that popping off random insult will distract from the fact that your understanding of the world is based on at least on mistaken premise?
Love the book and the truth Mr Boyd states. The same division resides now in the world as it did in Jerusalem. Darkness vs light. Jesus came to die for all the world. He died and was resurrected The fact is that to be the Christ person he called for means exactly sa Boyd has stated in his book.
@TheNightwing01 What is interesting about both Jesus of Nazareth and Alexander the Great is that they were both said to have resulted from virgin births.
So few people are true Christians. Since there are so many weak among the true, and so many false, It's no wonder why people affiliated with Jesus feel the need to acquire political power to change the landscape. God changes hearts one at a time. We should be seeking reformation and revival, not dominion here and now. Kinda interesting that many who espouse a negative eschatology (things getting worse before Jesus comes), proceed to mess that up with a thirst for political acceptability.

There is no doubt that Gandhi studied the gospels and learned a lot from Jesus' teachings. It was western Christianity in its modern form that he largely rejected because he saw it as inconsistent with many of Jesus' teachings.
If you have a quote from Gandhi where he rejected Jesus or the gospels, I'd be interested in seeing it, and please cite the source.

{and I will establish my covenant with[ him] for an everlasting covenant, [and] with his [seed] after him. Gen17: 19}.
GEN 17:19 Is the Isaainic Covenant is to Isaac alone.
It is including Isaac and his Blood Line seeds alone .
It is "Excluding", Abraham ,Ishmael whom they covenant in GEN 17:9 , Sarah , All Gentile Dogs, and even most of today Kyke Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews whom are 95% of world Jews . whom obviously not in Isaac blood line
We are anointed with the Holy Spirit. We are not merely prophets; we are kings and priests (Rev. 1:6). I will delete any further repetitions of the same comments.
1 Samuel 16:16 "Let our lord command his servants here to search for someone who can play the harp. He will play when the evil spirit from god comes upon you, and you will feel better."
The bible god Has evil Spirit that also make you feel good.1 Samuel 16:16.,Most Born again idiots have that evil spirit that make them feel good like DRUGS.
The Question is how do you distinguish between Holy spirit and evil spirit. both actually god 's spirits and both make you feel good
RE: 1 Samuel 16:16, it's easy to distinguish between a man possessed of the evil spirit vs the Holy Spirit. A man on drugs has empty hollow eyes and his speech is hateful at its base but cloaked in false piety and love. LOL, just like being on a drug.
the holy spirit is reasonable, logical, does not seek its own interests, condemn, judge, or exclude. It feels pain, but endures it with clear eyes and conscience, without hypocrisy.
I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her
I will bless her (Sarah) and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of "nations"; kings of peoples will come from her
you [ Or possession, for the whole earth is mine. 6 You ] will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites
You are really quite a strange person to say Rev. 1:6 refers to Israelites/Jews. Nothing you've written deserves a response. You are not supposed to sign up for multiple accounts on YouTube. Keep it up and I will notify YouTube so they can delete the extra accounts.
Again, look at the context. Jesus healed the woman's daughter. Jesus told the Roman centurion he had more faith than any Jew, and then said people shall come into the kingdom from all parts of the Earth, but the children of the kingdom (i.e., Jews) would be cast out. (Matt. 8:5-13).
The Bible never says to love satan. When Jesus said, "Love your enemy," he was referring to human enemies. Look it up. Do you know what "context" means? You have to read the Bible in context, not invent meanings that were not intended.
Whenever people say "God and..." whether it's "God and Country", "God and Conservativism" or anything else, God is always going to be second place to whatever follows the "and". It is just human nature. That is why God says that He is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14).
The title of this book is kind of misleading, I thought it was going to be about how this country wasn't founded as a Christian nation.

Gandhi did not "get it from Jesus".
vadremo 4 years ago 3
There is no doubt that Gandhi studied the gospels and learned a lot from Jesus' teachings. It was western Christianity in its modern form that he largely rejected because he saw it as inconsistent with many of Jesus' teachings.
If you have a quote from Gandhi where he rejected Jesus or the gospels, I'd be interested in seeing it, and please cite the source.

I didn't say Ghandhi rejected Jesus.

I am closing comments on my existing videos (posted before this date) because I do not have much time to respond. Also, occasionally there are irrational & spiteful people like ammannojacko/atheistxchristian
/captainstappin5. Looks like he can't make up his mind whether he's atheist or Muslim, but it's one and the same person.

The Question is how do you distinguish between Holy spirit and evil spirit. both actually god 's spirits and both make you feel good
Atheistxchristian 4 years ago
RE: 1 Samuel 16:16, it's easy to distinguish between a man possessed of the evil spirit vs the Holy Spirit. A man on drugs has empty hollow eyes and his speech is hateful at its base but cloaked in false piety and love. LOL, just like being on a drug.
the holy spirit is reasonable, logical, does not seek its own interests, condemn, judge, or exclude. It feels pain, but endures it with clear eyes and conscience, without hypocrisy.

Sorry mayatay...Rev 1:6 is referring to Israelites
Genesis 17:16
I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her
Kings from David line while Priests FROM Levites
Genesis 17:16 NIV • ..Read this chapter
I will bless her (Sarah) and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of "nations"; kings of peoples will come from her

Exodus 19:6 NIV • Read this chapter
you [ Or possession, for the whole earth is mine.

(Matt. 8:5-13).

Thus, Jesus prophesied what Christianity looks like today. There are many converts worldwide, but few converts from Judaism.

The Bible never says to love satan. When Jesus said, "Love your enemy," he was referring to human enemies. Look it up. Do you know what "context" means? You have to read the Bible in context, not invent meanings that were not intended.

If a "christian" government fails, it could be seen as a failiour of christ.
Please go and bind yourself with a specific political party. Ah, you already did? Thank you.

It could be misinterpreted as God failing. However, just because people fail, it does not mean God has failed.
mayartay 4 years ago
Whenever people say "God and..." whether it's "God and Country", "God and Conservativism" or anything else, God is always going to be second place to whatever follows the "and". It is just human nature. That is why God says that He is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14).

Good point! That's something to watch out for.
It could be "God, guns, and gold," "God and my King James Bible," or just about anything.
