  • so basically she got trained by ask kumar, but i dont believe it, because ive seen many girls who have been trained by him, and they can do a lot better no offence. but yeah its ok

  • if I was a henna artist, I would have it all over my hands all the time, it's so pretty! haha

  • How Great!

I wanna got 1 mehndi tattoo.

  • Why is the one just staring at the camera in such a weird way? Lol

  • ohhhh myyyyyy goshhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! you look ssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooo pretty in saree............

  • I love henna tattoos, I can't wait to get one :))

  • i met that guy who taught her!!!!

  • realy who says u that u r profesional very very badddddd

  • i m 12 n apply much better then this... i dont know who can say u profesional...

  • yuckh..!!! it looks ugly..... my sis applies much much much much better henna dan dis.....

  • i got henna done today it is so prretty

  • Does it ever smooth out? i

  • @MissIlianita you have to wait a couple hours for it to set in, then you scrap it off and it's just like a tattoo. :)

but i always smudge mine :p

  • i do this in my skool for my friends ND other ppl ND they LOVE it

    but yea smell is bad

  • @anjalinababe that is why an scented oil is used in the "mud"

  • my question is did it smell really bad becuase i had one done on my shoulder blade and it smelled horrible

  • I love the design you got. That is really cool.:)

  • they look like sisters at the start would you sgaree? the design was awsome

  • whats the name of that glitter ??

  • glitter. xD @LittlePrincess484

  • @jozilife hehehe ... No realy ??

  • i think its jus normal glitter they incorporate into the Henna mixture after addin the oils an stuff... @LittlePrincess484

  • @LittlePrincess484 The name of the glitter is Zardosi. You can also call it glitter gel, colorful gel or colorful mehndi. This glitter is only a mix of hair gel and a very fine glitter powder. Some artists like me add some loose eye shadow to the gel.

  • @MehandiMehandi thank you :)

  • l'ojet qu'elle utilise sais quoi sais tro beaux

  • How do you find someone in your area (Houston, TX) for a bridal henna application? Is there a professional association with a website?

  • how long dd it actually take to apply this look? it looks fabulous

  • my indian buddy did one of these to me!! it was soo cool!!! and it lasted for about 2 and a half weeks before completly fading

  • Did she use black ink? Because I heard it was dangerous I wanted to try it out but someone file me not to

  • @savannahsstyle Yes black ink is very dangerous. I don't put the black ink, i put the one that she's using. If she was using black ink the henna would be black but in the video its a dark brown yellowish sorta color which is safe. It may start to burn a little bit and then I will wash it. The next day it will turn brown. I'm a muslim Palestinian girl and I put henna when it is national day, (like fourth of july), wedding celebrations, and of course eid.

  • many people refer to mehndi as henna tattoos because they cant remember or pronounce the word mehndi. its no big deaal. fake tattoos that aare stick on are still called tattoos right? so its no big deal if you call mehndi a tattoo..

  • Pretty I got one of this they rock

  • Wait, why did she put the glitter on top of the henna? Because to actually have the henna, you have to wash off the paste to reveal the stain...

  • I mean after it dries completely...

  • you're supposed to wash the paste off and and then you'll have your "tatoo"

  • 40 people like tattoos

  • i love it.. thank you so much for this vid..

  • I love henna but not crazy about the design she did....but thats just me

  • It's not supposed to be called a tattoo!

  • @jbluver23411 Who told you so? I'm a henna artist and we can call it a tattoo if we like!

  • Thank you very much. I'll try to find it, but I'm affraid it won't be easy because I'm from Portugal. Keep doing this, it's amazing!

  • HOLY HENNA!

  • Oh she's great! Many indian girls are great at doing henna (I really don't count myself in that category lol) without being professionals. It's really pretty to have (:

  • aww yu look pretty in a saree...

  • Lol I'm indian so i do henna a lot and that was a really pretty one. :) My mom does them really good too but she's not a pro or anything.

  • @denimqueen98 You don't need a qualification to be a pro! If it looks good, than you're a pro :)

  • wow thats beautiful :)

  • beautiful chocolate tattoo !

  • I love this! so beautiful!

  • It looks like chocolate frosting, i want to eat it.

  • I love that!!!! Beaultiful Henna... I want to make that ....

  • do watch my henna designs too

  • I'm Pakistani. Go us! Lol. I no how to Mehndi also!

  • Sudanese Henna is the best looking, for hands and feet..its soo sexy(there is a huge facebook group for it), I hate Indian/pakistani style mehndi..it looks tacky to me.

Henna isnt TATOO! so i dont like ppl calling it "henna tatoo" its a part of the culture of Arabs and mehendhi is pakistani/indian culture! so dont tarnish it..calling it TATTOO! im sick of these sorority girls ruining culture...bellydance,henna,hookah..do it right or dont do it at all

  • es precioso

  • I love them lol

  • Me to

  • I love Henna tattoos

  • I want to see what it looked like after a couple days.

  • At first it looked like one big clump. But wow.................. This is incredible

  • i hate its smell!!

  • hey im from pakistan(next to india) and i was shocked to see our mehndi in here....it was sooo pleasent to see that...

  • AMAZING!

  • Wow! Very cool! I got a small henna tattoo at a Bat Mitzvah but it was no where near as cool as that one!

  • Awesome!

  • I think these are cool.

  • I don't know if anyone watches vampire diaries but she totally reminds me of isobelle from vampire diaries LOL

  • How much does she charge for what she made?

  • So cool !

  • you know, you can also use certain types of henna for hair highlights as well.

  • I love henna! I have tried doing henna in the past but mine never stayed on that well. I still have about half a box of henna powder left! Really want to get back into it but I gotta find the time! I love this art

  • ahhh love my pakistani culture, this is what pakistan bridal is all about

  • WOW that is really beautiful

  • where can I buy some henna so that I can try it on myself? :D

  • @anaoliveira95 try an ethnic food store in your area or sometimes Indian beauty salons will sell it too

  • This is a beautiful design by the artist. Learning henna takes practice and patience and she has been trained by a top artist ; )

  • gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!! <3 a loveley mehndi aertist thank u Marlena!

  • wowwww. i want this now :)

  • lovely:-)

  • Does anyone know where I could buy some Henna like in this video so I could give it a go myself?

  • GORGEOUS!!!

  • WOW !! i love this were u going to an East Indian Wedding ???

  • I bought a henna kit at an Indian festival once but somehow lost it before I could try it out. I love the henna designs! Thanks for sharing this informational video. :)

  • complimenti a Mehndi!!!davvero senza parole!!!

  • Very nice, thanks for sharing this! =)

  • She forgot to mention that you should cover the paste in lemon juice and sugar after it's applied to help it set and darken and then sleep with the paste on because the longer you leave it on the darker the tattoo is and the longer it lasts. In the morning it should flake right off and then you should use oil on the area every day to preserve the skin there and keep the tattoo from fading =)

  • @polkapiggy you should kno that already

  • That's so pretty! I want it too!

  • Very pretty!!

  • 29 people haven't ever had mehandi on their hands before =P

  • OMG u look stunning!!!

  • this is amazing! she's so talented. this is what i call "body art"

  • did you say central or centro california!?

  • tht is really nice i can put on henna like tht but i got no training and i cant do free hand

  • nicely done

  • so nice. :)

  • That is so GORGEOUS! I want a tattoo like that :p

  • ok, that's really cool!

  • wow great job :D

i want to get one too! love it!

  • Uh, so beautiful!!

  • I'm not sure why but this music reminded me of My Big Fat Greek Wedding haha

  • You should show us the stain after you put lotion over it...it is so pretty after lotion!

  • That 's beautiful work!!!

  • So beautiful!

  • Comment removed

  • this never showed up in my subscription box. :(

  • You're really into Indian things, right? That's cool!

  • Beautiful Henna! Minal is a real artist! The Henna looks very beautiful on you, Marlena.

  • That was so cool to watch! Thank you for sharing that experience with me. I'm not a tattoo type girl, but henna looks like an "temporary" alternative that I could really have fun with! This has captured my curiosity and intrique. Manal did an amazing job! The design looks very seductive, lacey and beautiful, but even so, I think after 2 weeks I would be ready for it to be off. Perfect solution--Henna!

  • Yay! Every summer I've been wearing huuuuge mehndi tattoos on my back, arms and legs :D It's so cheap at indian stores and the fact that it's not definitive amuses me ;)

  • that is soo cool!

  • how much at cost u?

  • like choccolate on hands,so beautiful!

  • @shaylenefdk You can henna powder or ready made cones at a indian grocery store.

  • @Hyxmee yeah, but it looks gross on nails and stains them. :/

  • i love henna.. and i wish i cud find one good quality henna that will last a month! haha..

  • Aww look at you in a saree! So pretty n cute!

  • it is a wonderful job but i don't like it. I feel it makes you look "dirty"... not a big fan of tattos and/or henna :(

  • @lvv0612 it looks dirty because its indian MEHENDHI! henna designs differ dpending on where youre from! there is lace, floral, geometric designs! you should see sudanese henna on facebook! GORGEOUS! they do leg/foot/hand designs! its soo gorgeous i cant even describe the designs! Usually other cultures look dow on indian mehendhi because it looks tacky and messy...little swirlys and all that mess. So i see what u mean.

  • IT'S SO COOL it works on your nails too!

  • this is beautiful!!

  • The girl just smiling dead straight in the start of the video made me laugh so hard since she looks paralyze.

  • where can you buy the brown henna stuff?

  • @shaylenefdk i saww some at an indian storee ! (no Lie) LOL

  • Wowwwwwwwwwwww gorgeousssss

  • This is so relaxing to watch. Very beautiful!

  • I did henna on my friend's whole leg for the first time and it turned out really good!

  • nope didnt like

  • so cool i wanna get it done looks so relaxing !!!

  • Pretty! I want to learn how to do this.

  • i seee SOMALIA<333333

  • why did u just randomly go and get mehndi done?

  • @chinychock She did an indian inspired makeup look, so i guess she thought it might be fun to a henna tatto.

  • @chinychock because she was doing an Indian bridal makeup look and wanted to get the full effect

  • youre wonderful :) >3

  • Beautiful

  • Hey - that was nice, but you should have shown us a picture once it had dried and come off.... but thanks for sharing. Love your videos...;o)

  • i love henna. i get it done every year :D

  • That looks stunning. I would be so disappointed when it came off though. I guess this is why I stick with regular tattoos. Still, that is very beautiful ^_^

  • That looks stunning. I would be so disappointed when it came off though. I guess this is why I stick with regular tattoos. Still, that is very beautiful ^_^

  • awsome!!

  • I love Mehndi, being a Pakistani (south asian) we put it on for every occasion from holidays to weddings or just for fun. It def. is a very accomplished skill if you can freestyle it, i know a ton of people who also apprenticed under trained Mehndi artists in pakistan. Wonder if Minal is Pakistani. She did a wonderful job!

  • @tdotgyal4166 same here i love mehendi too bad i m bad at applying it =(

  • @Starpluslover me too, I also love it :D

  • @tdotgyal4166 True! :) But I'm pretty sure she's Indian.

  • @stygianempathy: Why do you think she's Pakistani?

  • @tdotgyal4166 *confused* ...I don't think she's Pakistani.

  • @stygianempathy: Sorry, I meant Indian. Pakistanis and Indians look alike and were the same country until 1947 so aside from different nationalities, they are the same ethnicity and culture-wise , including food, clothing, language and yes, the practice of Mehndi.

  • @tdotgyal4166 Pakistanis and Indians dont "look alike" what world are you from

  • Comment removed

  • @markee871: LOL, apparently someone doesn't know their history. Pakistan, India were one country until 1947, both countries are South Asian countries. Pakistan is bordered by China and India, that being said, Pakistanis and Indians are known as Desis, a term given to South Asians so of course they look alike.

  • @tdotgyal4166 so am i

  • thats really really cool!!

  • @glitzygal16

but the first time henna was used it was by Prophet Muhammad's wife - Aisha. she couldnt afford to buy her self jewerly so it was told to her to addorn herself with Henna & she stood out the most beautiful <3

  • @TiiNyoN3 rubbish.

  • is henna muslim or hindu?

  • @glitzygal16 its not a religious thing its more cultural

  • EVERY time I get henna, it last me 3 days. Why is that?

  • @Kawea when you shower it wears off more easily from the water hitting it, just like an airbrush tattoo or something like that. to protect it from water and such, rub Vaseline on it before you shower and it acts as a barrier and water can't get to the henna...lasts much longer this way! :)

  • @Kawea maybe because the quality may not be good. some brands last longer, and some last for a few days. did you let the henna dry all the way through?
