i have a question...i bought a girl budgie and wated until it was old enough to mate...then i bought a boy budgie that was around the same age as her. now my guestion was the girl is doing all of the loveing and singing to the boy, not the other way around... why is this?
It is possibly because the male budgie needs to get use to his accommodation and be comfortable with it to.. give it some time.. make sure there is a nest box available at all times and you might need more budgies around for them to hear so they can feel comfortable in mating, this is because in the wild they are in a huge flock.
lol mine are not yet a year old yet they are about 8 months and my male is tryin to show off to the female he bobs his head at her and they show signs that they REALLY love eachother but the female is still like ehh dnt u dare lol and she will peck at him to go away but sometimes he doesnt get it and comes back and does the same thing over again lol
