  • What about Motherboard type?

is it Super Micro or ,,,

  • Any modern video card RAPES this CPU in raytrace rendering!

  • how do make it 64 threads i thought it was only 16

  • Hi guys.

Keyshot 3 Crash when I Open Scene or Import Object.

Does any body knows what is wrong. even the trail version is the same.

    I have : Windows 7 Home Premium

    AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 240e Processor , 2800 MHz 2 Cores.

    4 GB Memory.

    thank you.

  • actualy ps3 and xbox 360 use ray tracing! ridge racer v for example

  • @ridley322 It's amazing how uninformed you are. All videogames use the Rasterization rendering method. This is the RayTracing method which is only possible using CPU's at the moment, why do you think visual effects for movies take "so long to render" and video games render instantly? It's because video games "fake it" whilst this is the REAL thing.

  • @ridley322 I very much so doubt you understand the difference between the way a video game rendering is handled compared to something like this...

  • Are GPUs faster?

Had you ever heard of tessellation?

  • OMFG! 32 CORES!?!?!?! IT'S JUST LIKE A SIX PACK PERSON! I'm only 8 core.

  • which operating system did you use?

  • yeah well 64 threads defends the purpose of using keyshot.....

Maxwell may need an hour with 64 threads but the imige will look much better with light based on physics rather than this ray-traced siiitz

  • TOO many cores.

  • wow such low fps it looks like 5 fps and it is a single car!! how then can a game contain multiple rendered cars and having 60fps +?

  • @PRINCEofPECICA lol this is not a simple game engine this is a production renderer for things like movies, animations, broadcast, illustration.

Cryengine3 is what your looking for.

  • @PRINCEofPECICA This software is constantly rendering MUCH more data than a video game is expected to.

  • @PRINCEofPECICA multiple rendered cars that are no where NEAR the amount of polygons and detail as this.

  • @PRINCEofPECICA

they can't because no games use ray tracing. The only use of ray tracing thus far is in use with 3D movies/effects

our current gaming systems (PC) *(not ps3/360 of course they are far behind technology wise)* are still not powerful enough to use ray tracing. Even with an i7 980X and several 580GTX's, you can expect to see the above demo update any faster than about a minute.

  • As far as i know the X7500 is clocked at about 2.26GHz if i remember correctly, making it about (2.26 x 64 Threads)

Meaning we car looking at almost 145GHz of processing power.

    Now comparing it to the i7 980X @ 4.2GHz x 8Threads (4.2 would be OC'ed)

    ~ 33.5GHz If anything, you'd head for the i7 2600K once its re-released

    5.0GHz x 8Threads

    ~40GHz

So my point is, even with the top of the line systems and best GPU's (6 x 5970s for example) we still cannot achieve what server CPU are capable of...

  • And plus, the i7 980X is $1000

    6 x 5970s are $4800 (800 x 6)

    Totaling: $5800

And yet, the X7500 is only $3700

Add a QuadroFX 4800 Workstation Video Card or ATi FirePro V9800 Workstation Graphics Card in there and your looking at around the same price for a FAR superior system.

  • GPU processor is where its at for graphics and from what im reading can be implemented into basic operations as well, this is however a very impressive video.

I nearly get the same results with my quad core extreme and 2 gtx graphics cards sli using arion, Arion unitizes both cpu and gpu rendering 3million polys in mins on highest render settings. The thought of 64 cores gives me goose bumps. I wish I had it.

  • Or use a grpahics card for a fraction of the price and render in milliseconds :S

  • i wanna more info of this demo,someone please~~~~

  • now, lets play some car games :3 O.o

  • ok i tried the demo version keyshot 2 but it says the imported geometry could not be interpreted when importing skp files

  • That's some sick processing! Should have had higher quality HDRI's though.

  • wow.. i want one of those processors with some SLI 4GB Nvidia Quadro FX5800's and have a video game system with that amazing quality and scenes.. in 3d =)

  • @willyboxc sorry but quadro arent really than fast rendering games. They just have more vram and capacity to accelerate professional app and render billlions of polygons, but for games its better a high hend GPU. And yes, can be nice a game like that :P. All that its really near ^^
