'At last' is not Etta's song either. Etta didn't write the song. Mack Gordon and Harry Warren wrote the song. If I remember correctly, it was FIRST sung by Ray Eberle and Pat Friday. Now when Etta said she didnt know her or knew who she was she was talking about the producers of Cadillac records when they said beyonce was to play her. This is some bodies life. How do that to somebody. Tell the story about somebodies life without say two words to the person. I picking sides. Her drug use, her relationships, her feeling about her songs should had been discussed. Etta James should had been there for every shot that Beyonce portrayed her in. I would love to see the a law suit. Tell my life story when I am still a live, their should have been gun fire. They had no right.

Well that just showz Beyonce's arrogance, and how fake she reallly is. I'm sure Angela Bassett sat down with Tina Turner, and probly read the bio The Movie What's Love Got To Do With It before she played the role. Its just professional Courtesy to atleast meet her or talk to her on the phone. Maybe if she got to know her she could have played the role better and the movie wud hav done betta than it did

Beyonce could've asked Etta for advice. But Beyonce did a good Etta James. She's not Etta, but she had a good interpretation.
Etta is wrong to diss Beyonce, and should be proud someone has resurrected her music. So many will now know Etta James, and Etta should now know Beyonce.
