i hated wcw from 1998-2001 i hated i even hated whhen they astarted the nwo i didn't watch wcw anymore i started watching ecw after that and wwf and till this day i love ecw over wcw anyday
This has got to be one of the most controversal matchs I have ever seen for multiple reasons. People were happy to see Booker fight for the world title, but thats not what they came to see. This match was pretty good considering that Booker and Jarrett did not rehearse for this match as evidenced in the beginning when they both were trying to figure out who would be defense and offense. I mean how many times have you ever seen Michael Buffer get booed for saying how amazing the PPV has been?
@snorlaxisawsome look at other Bash at the Beach videos from this year and it'll explain everything. There was actual drama backstage going on involving Hulk Hogan.
Michael Buffer said for the second time tonight lets get ready to rumble...what he was thinking..."For the second time tonight...Im getting paid 5 grand for saying...Lets get ready to Rumble"
Damn now i have to pay him Ten G's for typing it twice ><
@leprechaun81atx I looked up Michael Buffer's net worth and it's estimated at over 400 million. Upon reading this I immediately punched a hole in my wall.
THANK GOD they picked Booker T to win the belt instead of one of those foul and disgusting beaners like Mysterio or Juventud. If they would've gotten rid of all the wetback slime, maybe WCW would still be here today.
Booker T is a great talent. He and Jeff didnt even prepare for this match. It was spur of the moment and they missed no spots. However it was a decent matched since these guys had to freestyle this match. They had no time to prepare
Why is the Bash at the beach 2000 vhs tape still worth 200 friggin dollars on Amazon? I DO NOT want to buy the W.E.'s World Heavyweight Championship dvd set that has this match up there because I KNOW that Jeff Jarrett's entrance music will be dubbed over! W.E. (World Entertainment) had a nasty knat for cheaply dubbing over entrance music on their dvds and dvd sets (if they include their entrances at all).
P.S. Can you all on youtube WARN AS MANY OTHERS POSSIBLE, to NOT buy anymore W.E. dvds
@ahceda09 Why did they do everything else they did at that time? Nothing seemed to make sense. David Arquette winning the World title? Pushing Jeff Jarrett the way they did? Billy Kidman vs Hulk Hogan feud? Vince Russo winning the World title? Having their top face Goldberg turn heel? ...I could go on forever
the one good thing about russo is that he liked helping the mid carders build up to main event status. and booker t had worked his butt off for years and russo knew this so he chose him =)
@ahceda09 shut yo racist ass up, Fuck u mean why they chose Booker T. Stupid bitch . Dont u realize Booker and Jeff had to improvise this match . they didnt even prepare for it and did decent
@atlkinkyboi dont call me a racist bitch hey it was cool booker was finally a champion i mean what took them so long to push booker into the main events he should of been pushed a long time ago
@ahceda09 booker t's push was out of desperation.wwf was pushing younger talent, and wcw was looking for someone to be the new face cause fans were gettin bored of the same wrestlers getting pushed,so they pushed booker to see if the fans would turn to wcw instead of wwf.it may have failed, but atleast it made booker a legend.
Jeff Jarett was never a main eventer anywhere not in WWF nor WCW cuz he was never in control thats why he created TNA he was tired of not being on top so he created TNA so he can be on top and be a multiple champion cuz come to think of it all TNA was when jeff created it was a bunch of rookies and very few vets that'd never make it in WWE. Jeff's best shot for a WWF Title reign was in 1999 when he teamed with Owen Hart but did he get it NO he was held back so he went to WCW.
@kidkash23 and he created something that was great, better than WWE at the time. But it is being killed by the same cancer that killed WCW. Vince Russo.
I like how he says for the second time in the same evening you will see a match fir the Heavyweight Championship of the world like the "first" one earlier that night was somehow considered a match.....
@Jelly420ful Russo was good in WWF for the most part, but he had to answer to McMahon. In WCW he pretty much had complete control of the company. Everyone was willing to give that control at first, I think because he took all the credit for the Attitude era and guys like Austin, The Rock.
wow really? after all the shit that took place on that night did they really think it would be a good idea to remind the fans on the wrestlers who left in 99? good commentating wcw. ha
god, who was the stiff broadcaster who was saying "this is what the WCW always should have been about" -- insulting Hogan et al....funny - it was actually Hogan and friends who had the WCW competing with the WWF...... wonder where that pathetic stiff broadcaster is now?? Jarrett went crawling to Hogan to help him get fans for TNA....Hogan should undermine him in revenge....HEHE
It's true though. Hogan changed WCW a lot when he joined. Gone was the tradition of the NWA which emphasised wrestling as a sport and in came a more cartoony product overall with guys like Dungeon of Doom. Guys like Flair, Vader and even Sting were moved out the way to showcase Hogan and Savage, essentially 2 WWF wrestlers.
@Batistaberg Yeah, at a cost. The nWo would go on to ruin WCW. Ironically what was kayfabe meant to happen in the first place. I agree though, Hogan made the nWo a major thing. Without him it would've been just another angle.
The big thing actually was that fan favourite Hogan joined the bad boys. But the nWo did not ruin WCW. If there were no nWo I guess WCW had died even earlier and without 82 weeks in row beating Raw.
@Batistaberg Yes that is true and I do believe that Hogan joining the nWo was what really made people notice WCW and enabled them to dominate the ratings. I phrased that wrong about the nWo, they didn't ruin WCW but by Starrcade '97 they had ran their course and instead of phasing out the angle, it continued to be the main focus of WCW and eventually became so stale that it caused a lot of people to switch back to WWF. But for the first year or so, the nWo was a great thing.
@Batistaberg Yes, but more people noticed WCW after Hogan turned. Yeah Nash laying down was major screw up which was the result of Hogan and Nash's creative control but that came after a year of nWo B groups and splinter factions and guys joining the nWo with no explanation, as well as things generally not making sense. Nash hates Hogan, starts the Wolfpac with Savage, wins the Title and gives it to Hogan, merges the two groups.
@CLeRKSfan4life i donno id say that wolfpack was still pretty fresh and after nash beat goldberg he shoulda never layed down and and then they shoulda fased out the nwo story lines
@hbk2hhh Yeah the Wolfpac was still over with the fans but WCW ruined what could've been a great angle to finish the whole nWo thing once and for all. They should've built up a World Title match of Hogan vs Nash at Souled Out. Have Nash win which causes Hogan to leave and just have the Wolfpac, which eventually gets phased out.
@CLeRKSfan4life ya that wouldve been a great idea actually and it wouldnt have got so stale if they did that hogans kinda greedy tho with his creative control
I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't think the Wolfpac was properly used. I thought Goldberg got in the way of what should have been a feud between the nWo divisions. I was hoping to see Hogan get the beating he deserved from Nash, and it never happened.
@CLeRKSfan4life While I don't deny there wouldn't have been a Monday Night Wars like we were accustomed to seeing in the 90's had Hulk Hogan not set foot in WCW,or at least not to the same extent, but his presence had been bad for the overall dressing room morale.
@fastfootedone Hogan at the time was not the Hogan who is in TNA now. Hogan realized that guys getting paid a lot and having creative control over their character is a bad idea. Hogan now realizes creative, bookers, and wrestlers should work together to create a great product and that is what he is trying to do in TNA.
so much of a mess. Length of match to whos in it to what happened to hulk and mostly the fucking arena look and jarrett looking like a fucking slug in tights
ignorance really must be bliss eh? dont read the dirt shirts and what you get off the net, cuz wht you just posted is really not true. and if you dont believe me, read the Eric Bishoff book, "Contravercy creates Cash". its a great book; insightful, and true.
no offense bulldogfan but if youd study up on the fall of wcw, youd know that hogan had nothin to do with their demise. im not being a smart ass, im just sayin, so some research on the subject.
Did hogan change the outcome of the jarret match yes he did it was jarret originally booked 2 win the match but hogan evoked his creative clause n change the outcome
cause he didnt want his rank being taken over by some1 lyk him
Hogan like many other fucking wrestlers so some iname reason was giving creative control it was a clause in there contract they could control how much they got paid, what they got paid for and what amount? so as playa4eva78 says " It doesnt matter what u think?" research b4 commenting. The people responsible until recently really is Vince Russo, Eric Bichoff and Kevin Nash although it was the decission to give Nash the booking rights which was dumb and not entirely Nash's fault
Anyone who is a REAL wrestling fan knows that Hogan was the problem in WCW. At first he was what many knew as the savior in a sense but I am sorry, Goldberg was the reason WCW triumphed for as long as they did.
I'm a fan of Hogan, but I agree. He's an idiot when it comes to holding everyone down. He should have realized that he wasn't doing any favors for his own image by refusing to job and sometimes even refusing matches with certain wrestlers alltogether. I don't know how in the hell he got the idea that he'd look bad by jobbing cleanly to, for example, Bret Hart. Most wrestling fans aren't so immature that they'd drop him like a bad habit just because he sometimes lost matches.
Thank you! But to be honest if they would have did a storyline with Hogan being WCW International champion on Thunder WCW might have been saved. Something like what they market today with raw an smackdown separate
the mem and the frontline thing has been going on too long if they want to get more ratings get mem to split n have booker t n steiner in the title race it always seems to be the same champions
they're having the same guys in the title race because they want it to be similar to the old days of wrestling. as for steiner and booker, both have said that they don't want the belt unless it's a last resort
having the frontline would have been too wcw-nwo faction sides drawn....
the mem has five members...and in reality daniels aj and joe are battling them as well as shane douglas-who could tech be a member since he was a prime time main eventer in the real ECW...and jj and foley are at the top facing each other...and technically sting is a neutral good leader, leaving the other four to be thugs...its makes more sense doing this angle
what puzzles me is why he hasnt held the TNA chamlionship yet......He's held World heavywieght gold in WCW and WWE, if TNA wants to do something right they should put the belt on him......or is he gonna be held down in TNA the same as in WCW and WWE?
Booker T is one of the all time greats I dont think he gets the respect he deserves.......I think the whole thing between hogan and jarrett and russo was all planned vince and jeff knew what they were doing (just like the montreal screwjob) Why else would they have had the main event in the middle of the show, only to have another main event later
The only match scheduled afterwards was Goldberg VS Kevin Nash. Just because a match is for the World Heavyweight Title doesn't nessacarily mean that it absolutely HAS to be the last one to go on the card.
The main problem with TNA is they don't know what to do with their World Title. They are in constant conflict on whether they should give it to the originals out of respect and hard work, or the seasoned because of the rating and cash flow.
Honestly I don't have the right answer because as much as I would like a Jay Lethal or Robert Roode or a Eric Young to be Champion...the idea of any of them beating a Kurt Angle or a Sting is just ridiculous. So until TNA makes a decision...they are dommed
HOGAN had a monster ego because he was the biggest draw in the history of the business. So obviously he believes that he deserves to be champion all the time because he can draw money. But eventually you get stale and people get bored. He never wanted to pass the torch to younger cats in the ring and when you want to be "king tyrant" of the wrestling nation, eventually the people declare a revolution and overthrow the king and the nation collapses only to rebuild....
WCW just cared about being bigger than WWF/E! That is what killed WCW! WCW never cared about anybody as long as they were bigger than WWF/E! They didn't evenabout making money! WCW would have done anything to be bigger than WWF/E! And TNA is the same way! Not caring about themselves! Just care about being bigger than WWE! WWE cares more about making money than beign the biggest wrestling promotion!
@CactusJack1834 Keeping up with Vince McMahon will kill TNA eventually as well as it did WCW.WCW should have just made the most out of what they already had. Now,I understand that not every mid-card wrestler could be WCW Champion, but the likes of Eddie Guerrero,Chris Benoit,& Chris Jericho at least deserved consideration for down the road,if not immediately.
lets be real about one thing, yes hogan was in the spotlight too long, but the main fact is this,he was a draw.hogan didnt hold anybody back,if anybody did that it was eric bischoff, people tend to forget he was the boss, not hogan.hogan had ideas for the company, some good, some bad,but to put the entire blame on hogan killing wcw is retarded.vince russo, eric bischoff, the writers, were way bigger of a contribute to the death to wcw than hogan was
well you gotta think about it,booker t was a future hall of famer way before the king booker charecter, and that charecter wont change the good hes done for the wrestling business and his career.yeah it was a stupid charecter, but to him it was something new and amazingly the charecter got over better than people thought.
again i never said hogan didnt have his faults, but to blame him mainly for wrestlers being held back and wcw falling, theres other people to be held accountable, thats my arguement.now flair had selfish moments too and held some wrestlers back,if i'm correct didnt austin before he got huge in wwf have a distain for flair, same as shane douglas, scott steiner(eventhough i dont agree with his views).
He would be champ in the same era as David Arquette which HHH pointed out in 2005. They gave him that stupid king gimmick and that's a stain that can never be removed.
Not the kind of boos you want JJ. The people were pissed because of the whole Russo thing, I think this incident ruined Jeff Jarrett's career. He never did become World Champion again after this.
WCW's demise was because of several reasons. But one reason i think is overlooked is the hiring of Micheal Buffer, I'm sure his asking price was high, and honestly Im sure he didnt (and problably still doesnt) like pro wrestling
Exactly my point. And they had guarenteed contracts, spending outlandish amounts of money on guys like DDP. Plus add to the fact that they had non-wrestling guys like Jim Herd as CEO
You can see it in the expression and words of MIke Tennay. At this point, everyone knew that the WCW was finished. It started sometime when they hired Vince Russo, and he put on crap angles like the ring being flooded with fake blood, and the KISS demon, and Misfits in Action, and the referee as "little Flair." Vince Russo = crap wrestling television. It wasn't the resurgance of the WWE that killed the WCW, it was the awful product written and aired by Russo.
Oddly enough, Russo was the WWE's main writer during the Attitude Era. People were making jokes about Russo still being on Vince McMahon's payroll when he went to WCW and his writing went to crap.
His witting didn't go to crap.Russo brought the ratings up from what they were when Bischoff got fired. Russo had to book under standards and practices.they would throw out 90% of his booking and only allow him to book comedy. Then the people on Turners end hated WCW and wouldn't stand up for its freedom. Russo gets no credit for anything he has done, and just gets all of the blame. Blaming Russo for this WCW is like blaming Heyman for that ECW show on TNN.
Jeff Jarrett is a fantastic wrestler and worker, but he has no charisma. He got the belt in WCW because they saw him pretty much the only credible heel that people weren't tired of seeing (considering that Bret Hart was out by that time, the Sting heel turn did not work, etc.). Although they should have just given him the belt and not screwed around with David Arquette and the title changing hands every other day.
Not sure why they didn't think of Steiner earlier.
Hogan draws fans...he always draws fans....jarret as much as i love wat he does in tna (apart fmr keeping russo on board)wont draw fans...its tht simple...hogan could come back now and the fans even u anti-hogan pricks would cheer for your childhood hero
Your right...JARRET can never be like the Rock or Hulk Hogan. How did Jarret ever get the belt within the last days of WCW?I don't remember him ever having it in that latter of that time.
0:01 - Tony throws his pen and sums up the entire fucking PPV... AMAZING

ignorance really must be bliss eh? dont read the dirt shirts and what you get off the net, cuz wht you just posted is really not true. and if you dont believe me, read the Eric Bishoff book, "Contravercy creates Cash". its a great book; insightful, and true.
playa4eva78 2 years ago
no offense bulldogfan but if youd study up on the fall of wcw, youd know that hogan had nothin to do with their demise. im not being a smart ass, im just sayin, so some research on the subject.
playa4eva78 2 years ago
Did hogan change the outcome of the jarret match yes he did it was jarret originally booked 2 win the match but hogan evoked his creative clause n change the outcome
cause he didnt want his rank being taken over by some1 lyk him
bulldogsfan12 2 years ago
All im saying rite now is if it wasnt for that moron Hulk Hogan Wcw could still be around today go get ......... Hogan
bulldogsfan12 2 years ago
Hogan like many other fucking wrestlers so some iname reason was giving creative control it was a clause in there contract they could control how much they got paid, what they got paid for and what amount? so as playa4eva78 says " It doesnt matter what u think?" research b4 commenting. The people responsible until recently really is Vince Russo, Eric Bichoff and Kevin Nash although it was the decission to give Nash the booking rights which was dumb and not entirely Nash's fault

it was supposed to be like that it was an old belt ric flair wore
ShaMoneeey718 2 years ago
When Ric first got the belt it wasn't bent. At all. It got bent sometime when Hogan was in his first reign.
skull902 2 years ago
really? hmmmm guess someone just screwed up the belt while hogan had it
ShaMoneeey718 2 years ago
Maybe it dropped from a high place when nobody was around.

Anyone who is a REAL wrestling fan knows that Hogan was the problem in WCW. At first he was what many knew as the savior in a sense but I am sorry, Goldberg was the reason WCW triumphed for as long as they did.
koldkase77 2 years ago 5
I'm a fan of Hogan, but I agree. He's an idiot when it comes to holding everyone down. He should have realized that he wasn't doing any favors for his own image by refusing to job and sometimes even refusing matches with certain wrestlers alltogether. I don't know how in the hell he got the idea that he'd look bad by jobbing cleanly to, for example, Bret Hart. Most wrestling fans aren't so immature that they'd drop him like a bad habit just because he sometimes lost matches.
LeadCeno 2 years ago 4
and Kevin Nash he had way to much control and he has a huge ego wcw was all ready dead at this point
cryhwks 2 years ago
And Kevin Nash was the reason Goldberg had to lose the title like he did. WCW's biggest mistake was letting the inmates run the asylum.

the mem and the frontline thing has been going on too long if they want to get more ratings get mem to split n have booker t n steiner in the title race it always seems to be the same champions
stu2309 2 years ago
they're having the same guys in the title race because they want it to be similar to the old days of wrestling. as for steiner and booker, both have said that they don't want the belt unless it's a last resort
Truth6734 2 years ago
having the frontline would have been too wcw-nwo faction sides drawn....
the mem has five members...and in reality daniels aj and joe are battling them as well as shane douglas-who could tech be a member since he was a prime time main eventer in the real ECW...and jj and foley are at the top facing each other...and technically sting is a neutral good leader, leaving the other four to be thugs...its makes more sense doing this angle
Nyvie87 2 years ago
iz the top of the belt like bent?

yeah they talked about it on the jarret dvd. it was the old belt, the one ric flair had.

what puzzles me is why he hasnt held the TNA chamlionship yet......He's held World heavywieght gold in WCW and WWE, if TNA wants to do something right they should put the belt on him......or is he gonna be held down in TNA the same as in WCW and WWE?
trutilthelast 2 years ago 2
Booker T is one of the all time greats I dont think he gets the respect he deserves.......I think the whole thing between hogan and jarrett and russo was all planned vince and jeff knew what they were doing (just like the montreal screwjob) Why else would they have had the main event in the middle of the show, only to have another main event later
trutilthelast 2 years ago 4
The only match scheduled afterwards was Goldberg VS Kevin Nash. Just because a match is for the World Heavyweight Title doesn't nessacarily mean that it absolutely HAS to be the last one to go on the card.
skull902 2 years ago 2
The main problem with TNA is they don't know what to do with their World Title. They are in constant conflict on whether they should give it to the originals out of respect and hard work, or the seasoned because of the rating and cash flow.
Honestly I don't have the right answer because as much as I would like a Jay Lethal or Robert Roode or a Eric Young to be Champion...the idea of any of them beating a Kurt Angle or a Sting is just ridiculous. So until TNA makes a decision...they are dommed
doubleF20 2 years ago 4
With the rivalry between MEM and TNA frontline, it should go back and forth between certain members, that would make the feud more interesting.
DrGnockerz 2 years ago
What rivalry? Last time I checked the Frontline got silently scrapped the only thhing left is a sketchy alliance of Joe, AJ , and Daniels.

RickRomo 2 years ago
WCW just cared about being bigger than WWF/E! That is what killed WCW! WCW never cared about anybody as long as they were bigger than WWF/E! They didn't evenabout making money! WCW would have done anything to be bigger than WWF/E! And TNA is the same way! Not caring about themselves! Just care about being bigger than WWE! WWE cares more about making money than beign the biggest wrestling promotion!
CactusJack1834 2 years ago 4
@CactusJack1834 Keeping up with Vince McMahon will kill TNA eventually as well as it did WCW.WCW should have just made the most out of what they already had. Now,I understand that not every mid-card wrestler could be WCW Champion, but the likes of Eddie Guerrero,Chris Benoit,& Chris Jericho at least deserved consideration for down the road,if not immediately.
landrykkb 10 months ago 3
Thank God Hogan is not in the business anymore
groundge2 2 years ago 3
lets be real about one thing, yes hogan was in the spotlight too long, but the main fact is this,he was a draw.hogan didnt hold anybody back,if anybody did that it was eric bischoff, people tend to forget he was the boss, not hogan.hogan had ideas for the company, some good, some bad,but to put the entire blame on hogan killing wcw is retarded.vince russo, eric bischoff, the writers, were way bigger of a contribute to the death to wcw than hogan was
dakliq420 2 years ago
well you gotta think about it,booker t was a future hall of famer way before the king booker charecter, and that charecter wont change the good hes done for the wrestling business and his career.yeah it was a stupid charecter, but to him it was something new and amazingly the charecter got over better than people thought.
dakliq420 2 years ago
They pushed Booker T to late the should have did it 1 to 2 years before this.
themann0001 2 years ago 6
Agree.
its because of hogan ego. booker was held back.
Mancunian786 2 years ago 6
so it had nothing to do with bischoff, the writers, and the other main eventers right? why cant you hold other people other than hogan accountable
dakliq420 2 years ago
see scobiedooo's coment
Mancunian786 2 years ago
again i never said hogan didnt have his faults, but to blame him mainly for wrestlers being held back and wcw falling, theres other people to be held accountable, thats my arguement.now flair had selfish moments too and held some wrestlers back,if i'm correct didnt austin before he got huge in wwf have a distain for flair, same as shane douglas, scott steiner(eventhough i dont agree with his views).

Still wondering how Booker got held down by Hogan for 14 years before this according to Russo...
rlouie05 2 years ago 2
He didn't say Hogan. I think he said THE Hulk Hogan's..as in guys who have played the same card as Hogan did before that
KCG013 2 years ago
WCW's demise was because of several reasons. But one reason i think is overlooked is the hiring of Micheal Buffer, I'm sure his asking price was high, and honestly Im sure he didnt (and problably still doesnt) like pro wrestling
ashleybound 2 years ago
um, wcw didnt die because of buffer, but you are half right. it was spending tons of money on things they didnt need.
russo256 2 years ago
Exactly my point. And they had guarenteed contracts, spending outlandish amounts of money on guys like DDP. Plus add to the fact that they had non-wrestling guys like Jim Herd as CEO
ashleybound 2 years ago
They got him because of his contract with HBO which was a part of TimeWarner. You're right though, he wasn't a fan.
theshooter2000 2 years ago
Thanks I always thought buffer was more into boxing. They (WCW) must have paid him a fortune. Which was one of the many reasons why WCW folded
ashleybound 2 years ago

Booker back in the days he was so over with the fans.
TonyTheTigerGreat12 2 years ago 3
You can see it in the expression and words of MIke Tennay. At this point, everyone knew that the WCW was finished. It started sometime when they hired Vince Russo, and he put on crap angles like the ring being flooded with fake blood, and the KISS demon, and Misfits in Action, and the referee as "little Flair." Vince Russo = crap wrestling television. It wasn't the resurgance of the WWE that killed the WCW, it was the awful product written and aired by Russo.
WithTurgidity 2 years ago 2
bischoff said he knew in late 1998 it was the beginning of the end even before russo came on just so you know watch the death of wcw
whatshappen420 2 years ago 2
Oddly enough, Russo was the WWE's main writer during the Attitude Era. People were making jokes about Russo still being on Vince McMahon's payroll when he went to WCW and his writing went to crap.
shadowreaver87 2 years ago 3
His witting didn't go to crap.Russo brought the ratings up from what they were when Bischoff got fired. Russo had to book under standards and practices.they would throw out 90% of his booking and only allow him to book comedy. Then the people on Turners end hated WCW and wouldn't stand up for its freedom. Russo gets no credit for anything he has done, and just gets all of the blame. Blaming Russo for this WCW is like blaming Heyman for that ECW show on TNN.

I'd also rather see the high top fade come back. Booker's dreads are ridiculous, especially when he has it all tied up.
ControlDenied307 3 years ago
Booker T's music was changed at one moment, but they changed it back.
devilzzz999 3 years ago
Among active wrestlers, is Booker T's theme not the longest lasting one? I count what he has in TNA. Sounds only slightly different.
I think he should go back to the low top fade too lol.
heroxrr 3 years ago
If we can count Shawn Michaels, he has used his since 92 (Sherri sang it back then though)
Obviously though he used DX as well, and was also out for a few years..
adamchyk 3 years ago
i wouldnt count it, mainly because when he was king booker, he used a different theme
semajamesemaj 3 years ago
Jeff Jarrett is a fantastic wrestler and worker, but he has no charisma. He got the belt in WCW because they saw him pretty much the only credible heel that people weren't tired of seeing (considering that Bret Hart was out by that time, the Sting heel turn did not work, etc.). Although they should have just given him the belt and not screwed around with David Arquette and the title changing hands every other day.
Not sure why they didn't think of Steiner earlier.
Elusareth 3 years ago
To be a heel annoucer and that was it.
PeterBluth 3 years ago
Hogan draws fans...he always draws fans....jarret as much as i love wat he does in tna (apart fmr keeping russo on board)wont draw fans...its tht simple...hogan could come back now and the fans even u anti-hogan pricks would cheer for your childhood hero
UPYOURZ41 3 years ago
Your right...JARRET can never be like the Rock or Hulk Hogan. How did Jarret ever get the belt within the last days of WCW?I don't remember him ever having it in that latter of that time.
