Very nice sounding accordion I think you play extreemely well. I love the action on the base. Are you self taught or did you have an instructor. My self I have the Horner Xtreme III.
@carnutter360 - thanks for the compliments. This Hohner is in Eb/Bb, which is a lovely, mellow, deep key - which your Pokerwork is unlikely to be in. Also, the vintage boxes are nearly always great sounding (at least when refurbed).
This particular one should now sound even better, as recently refurbished by Martyn White of Chelmsford ie tuned to standard 440 pitch now, pallets re-faced, re-waxed, bass button holes bored and felt-bushed, etc.
Love the playing and the instrument. Beautiful "honking" sound - in the nicest possible way - and some nice runs which give the tune a lot of extra interest. Keep on clacking!
Thamks everyone! it's certainly not bad for an instrument which - apart from scrubbing up the exterior (as I can't say I overly value 'patina' ie 70 years of someone's else's grease and dead skin!) - is as it came to me from Germany. Anahata, love to you and Mary - see you around some place. Diane
Another perfect advertising video for restored vintage Hohners. Since I saw the videos with Liliputs and other old Hohners, I've bought 4 of these old Hohner Clubs off eBay Germany.
