In 1968 stokely Carmicheal left the party and joined with the more extreme group called the Black Panthers after when SNCC and CORE expelled their white members and staff in 1966. Carmichael didn't expell whites from SNCC. Most white people didn't care about civil rights. It was the Jewish people who funded most of the groups NAACP(originally a Jewish group until 1975), NAU, SNCC, and CORE. Camrichael thought the Jews had their on motive so he expelled them from SNCC. In which they did because they dropped civil rights by 1967.MLK had the right thought but it only helped blue blood blacks not blacks in the masses.

Of all the high-profile leaders of the black civil rights movement, Stokely Charmichael is pretty low on the list, as far as I can see.
MLK, Malcolm X, Fred Hampton and many others were far more admirable, IMO.
Charmichael created the "black power" slogan but even that was of questionable value (King pointed out that those with real power didn't need to go around proclaiming it and that doing so only underscored political weakness)

In 1968 stokely Carmicheal left the party and joined with the more extreme group called the Black Panthers after when SNCC and CORE expelled their white members and staff in 1966. Then very fast changing had took place in the Civil Righs movement as many black leaders believed in Black Separatism and using guns to win freedom it looked as if Martin luther King work had failed..

Carmichael didn't expell whites from SNCC. Most white people didn't care about civil rights. It was the Jewish people who funded most of the groups NAACP(originally a Jewish group until 1975), NAU, SNCC, and CORE. Camrichael thought the Jews had their on motive so he expelled them from SNCC. In which they did because they dropped civil rights by 1967.MLK had the right thought but it only helped blue blood blacks not blacks in the masses.

Yea, MLK actually mentioned in a speeched entitled the Other America that most whites did not care to push for genuine equality for black people. He said that when he was down south he got support but when he moved his movement up North, he got none.

I agree with you. Also realize that there are open minded white people as myself who stand to gain a lot of learning as well. I understand Stokley's primary concern is for the betterment of black people, but if people such as you and I were to make more of a presence in a firm and respectable manner, maybe we could make the difference.

I was one of only four or five "white" guys in the audience at Cullen Auditorum at the University of Houston in 1966. He was still called Stokely Carmichael and he outlined an a program to 'radicalize' every campus in the nation. He may have been the most electrifying orator in US history and certainly among the most literate --quoting Camus and Sartre. And unlike Bush, he had actually read them. What is the next phase of the movement going to be? I belive it has to be internal. Africans, born in the US, and all Africans, for that matter, must do some self examination.
