The Rankings your talking about basically put a number on each thing, say infantry is worth 1 each, special forces might be worth 2, a tank 20 and a fighter jet 30 and they add it up all up, the most numbers gets a higher ranking. It doesnt look at strategy, whether they have the equipment to move there forces (which Indonesia doesnt), whether they can get air superiority ect

Pada 2 September 1964 pasukan terjun payung didaratkan di Labis, Johor. Pada 29 Oktober, 52 tentara mendarat di Pontian di perbatasan Johor-Malaka dan membunuh pasukan Resimen Askar Melayu Diraja dan new zeland dan menumpas juga Pasukan Gerak Umum Kepolisian Kerajaan Malaysia di Batu 20, Muar, Johor. Dan uniform TNI yg dipamerkan itu bisa saja korang curi.

On paper Indonesia may have a much bigger army but they have zero capability to get it to Australia.
Basically our JORN radar would pick them up (which could only be civilian ships as there blue water navy is tiny) far from our coast, the attackers would have very little aircover and would be picked apart by our Harpoon equipped Fa18's. Thats ignoring the navy and our Collins class subs which the US admiited has snuck right up on there carriers a few times.

The Rankings your talking about basically put a number on each thing, say infantry is worth 1 each, special forces might be worth 2, a tank 20 and a fighter jet 30 and they add it up all up, the most numbers gets a higher ranking. It doesnt look at strategy, whether they have the equipment to move there forces (which Indonesia doesnt), whether they can get air superiority ect

Though they would even struggle with that once we owned the air, especially as there ground equipment is ancient too, i dont even think they have tank's anymore, while we have updated abrams. But then we would be stuck in an Iraq like situation except with 10 times the population so we would never do that anyway.

If we talk about winning the battle,maybe you'll win as you've told about your superior power in air force.War is not only about destroying but also occupying.And occupying dense forest isn't easy.
