Did Chopin just turn in his grave? Or did we have a Mini Maksim Mrvica just butcher his etude? Words cannot describe how wrong this is. I am going to TRY to ignore the technical flaws, which happens in almost every 3 bars. But the musical aspects? My god its not that hard to follow simple dynamics. I wish you luck with Pokemon, and Lady Gaga. They dont have a grave to turn in, well..not yet...Show them this recording...and they will soon be in one.
@Martel211996 this was a year ago. i was very VERY nervous and my hands wouldnt stop shaking. im sorry that you didnt like it. i can play it a lot better now
wow that is your first recital !!!it is very good for a start it must have taken you a lot of courage to perform for the first time ..keep going you will be a good pianist!I
hmm...damn my first comment disappeared. This is a valiant effort JP, especially for a first recital, so well done. It is very brave to tackle the revolutionary for a first performance and in light of this you have done extremely well. Now you know how nerves will affect you, in future you must over-prepare in order to perform confidently on the day. When practising, know each hand thoroughly and completely separately. I'm sorry my recording's really bad but you can look up some others..
wow,... thanks a lot, i do know the song perfectly now but i cant record it because two of my piano's keys broke and i have to wait for Mr. Edd (piano tunner) to fix them, but i'll record it on my church's Grand piano on monday,
Firstly, make sure to feel the beat throughout the piece. Rhythm and pace are extremely important, especially for a fast piece like this when people will be listening for even-speed playing. Secondly it is of course a study for the Left Hand, so don't neglect that for the sake of the RH melody too much (mentally that is; obviously in performance you musn't stop). More frequent pedal-change, when a chord changes, enriches the sound withoutblurring; try practising without it. Know each hand's part
