  • Thank you, Samantha!

  • Thank you for sharing this. greatly appreciated =)

  • Nice one .. Got the points jotted down on my notebook , hopefully my disastrous sale-less run will end !!

  • Hi Ya... just searching through some home business videos today and I ran across your video. Just saying hi... keep up the good work!

  • The Mexican community is going to be pissed when they find out she was very rude to Jose when she acted like she knew more about grass than him.

  • Hello

  • He commited sales pitch suicide when he, " pitched the bitch"! Look at this loser on youtube talking about grass. WTF she can't cut check that's her proplem not Juan's....

  • Hey - really liked your video - as a graphic designer I know all too well how important it is to get under the skin of your customers emotional triggers. But its amazing how my business owners still think its all about them!

  • right on the nail. I did this a long time ago, I paint signs and went to a motorcycle place and noticed they had some ugly window paintings, so I suggested to the owner that he can hire me to paint something really cool and remove the old ones. He told me yes but then he told me his son painted the old signs and I kinda laughed and asked how old he was (because it looked like a little kid made them).

32 he replied and I never heard from him again.

  • lol - I wonder why he didn't call you, Super? Thank you for sharing this story - it is amazing how we can do or say something with the best of intentions and really make a mess of things.

Looking at the world through another person's point of view is a skill we do well to practice everyday - it's amazing how far off the mark we can be!

  • Enjoyed your video and it gave me an example to work on. Thanks

  • I really appreciate everyone's feedback on this one. I'm so glad it has been helpful to you. An added thought, even though the sales pitch was a disaster, I'm still with the same service. The relationship they had built with me prior to the suicidal pitch was enough to get us through the crisis. Hmmm... Think I should have pitched my consultation services?

  • Barbara, this video is GOLDEN!! Thank you for the time you spent with me this afternoon. More abundance is coming your way because of your warm and Giving Spirit.

    God Bless,

    Ontarian

  • This is unbelievable! Great example! Helped me a lot!

  • Good advice. There's alot of crap advice on youtube but this is spot on...

  • Great headline and example of what you mean by sales pitch suicide. I always learn best from specifics. Thanks!

  • Thank you for giving a wonderful example of sales pitch suicide. I think so often we get into a "solutions provider" mode that we often overlook our number one priority and that is listening first to our prospect or client!

    Great work!

  • This is a problem that can be found in all industries. Offering a solution without a clear picture of the individual problem never works - and can be quite embarrassing. Thanks for the reminder of this basic sales technique.

  • This is a problem that is in all industries. Presenting a solution before knowing the individual problem will never get you anywhere. Thanks for reminding everyone about this very basic sales technique.

  • This is the IDEAL example of how to give value by relating your 'message' to your own personal experiences. That's a powerful way to teach. Keep up the great work!

  • Great video, Barbara!

Btw, I like your garden. :) It looks really nice.

That is an awesome example and I think a lot of people will relate to it and come closer to doing the sales pitch correctly.

From what we have been taught in network marketing we usually hurry up and pitch instead of putting the work and time to first learn about what our prospects' need is.

But your video is a good example that the training is now out there for anyone who want to learn to do it right!

  • This is a good example of how we should use good social skills instead of bad sales skills in order to attract new business.

  • Great Video, Barbara. Anyone in sales needs to understand this. People have SO many choices about how to spend their money. By showing them that you are interested in providing a solution to a problem THEY express, you'll have a much better chance of doing business with them.
