I am not that expert in rating vocal quality as others are far better judges on that area. But for the acting skills, in my opinion, these two are so far the best in the opera business. Usually opera singers are second rate actors but they are one of few singers who are pretty much acceptable as serious actors. What's more they excel in these kind of extreme and dramatic characters which requires in-depth and intelligent interpretation. Must have been great performance in terms of acting.

Oh my goodness.....so gorgeous.... This duet was what got me into opera and with two of the all time best singers it's as close to divine as it gets!!!!

But unlike stated in the description, this was not Kaufmann's role debut. That would have been in Zurich in 2007, I believe. ;-)
