Genocide took in 1983 after LTTE killed 13 Sinhala soldiers. Then Tamils killed Sinhalese and Sinhalese killed Tamils and this was not a one way game. Even before that tamils started killing Sinhala and Muslim businessmen in Jaffna and all Sinhala/Muslim people were forced to leave north and east. After that LTTE started massacres. Here is small list.

1985 - Attack Jaya Shrimabodi and killied 134

1990 - Aug 4, 147 Muslims were killed at Kathankudi mosque
