Just goes to prove that Nissan is bsing the world about the speed of the GTR, take into account 20% drive train loss and they have around 550hp at the engine, not the 480hp they make them out to be. PORSCHE there is no substitute.
no this guy is full of shit. by run testing the rear wheels this guy has jimmied the system to basically fake some results. everyone else is getting like 30 whp less on their gtrs cause they test them right.
Testing this car in rwd is like installing a screen door on a submarine...pointless. That will totally slight your final numbers. Is there a reason you didnt test the car in awd?
i think because the power is only transmitted to the front, if the back receives more power than it can handle (i.e. when doing fast cornering or whatever)

it might have only been a 2 wheel dyno so they disconnected the front drive shafts (its not uncommon ive seen it done a lot)

That is not how the AWD system works on this vehicle. It is an active style system that is speed related as well as traction related.

It ran low numbers beacuse it was on 5th gear on the 3rd run.
and yes its rear wheel drive when we dynoed it.

Cause its 4WD...The GTR is basically a rear wheel drive car(better handling) unless the cars starts to lose grip then it puts tires to the front.
