Dick Tracy wasn't considered a superhero as much as a gangster. When Chester Gould invented him in 1933, he was more like the answer to infamous gangsters like Pretty Boy Floyd, Bonnie and Clyde, and John Dillinger than a Superman type. Also, even though Dick being short for Richard is one of the mysteries of the universe, it really was not a big deal back in those days, as more people called themselves Dick than Rich. And Dick is a fitting name, as detectives in those days were called "dicks".

Nice review I must have been about your age when that movie came out, was a pretty big deal back then from what I remember.
Its great to see someone from the next generation enjoying the kind of flicks i grew up with. Keep going Mate and enjoy the experience along the way.
