@kirkfuckingrocks Pop artist don't last long because of the style of music. Pop music is written for the moment usually. It usually has a catchy course. Very radio friendly. But the problem is it pretty much is all the same. Not original. So an artist comes out with a new "cool" pop tune, but it only last until the next artist comes out with a pop tune.

It's why such bands like led zepplin, metallica are still listened too today. And why songs like "the thong song" are no longer popular.

Back-up singers are used so that those harmonies can be heard live as well, however they are also there is the singer needs to take a much needed breath because of dancing or just lots of general singing. she took one break in which she came in with the words a little bit later than the recording but thats what back up singers are for.
