  • Thanks, House Ni...Negro Boule, Good Looking Out For The Remaining 90% Of Black America!

  • Another Truth Seeker/Speaker SILENCED!

    ...or so they thought.

  • Comment removed

  • Good riddance

  • I wonder if Burton got Laryngitis from that.

  • I am glad Arsenio's show is gone. It was good for the first years...but got too niggery towards the end.

  • @MrSickofstupidity That the problem if white folks don't like cut it!! even if its positive

  • @MrSickofstupidity

Is that the best you can do,with your fifth grade education. Please have an opion without showing that you are a racist. Oh, and please at your next GED class pay attention to spelling.

  • @mijonegro I am not a racist...I am a realist. You can not and will not ever be better than me or smarter than me. Fuck you nigger boy.

  • @MrSickofstupidity Your realist huh. Well be real about how Black people are your fathers and mothers . We created you white boy and with that said you are weak compared to us. But hey you guys IQ average is higher than most other races but but who cares because most of the shit they teach people in school is bullshit anyways. White people love to make up shit to message their ego. I hope these heat waves keep up so you weak fucks can burn up. Oh and by they way we are better than you.

  • @Jamez8888 Your keyboard vomit makes my eyes bleed. You're nothing but an uneducated NIGGER who has his head stuck up his ass. You dumb niggers created nothing but crime, drug dealing, gang banging, and rapists. Fuck off and die nigger.

  • I remember trying to stay up so I could watch this on a school night.. and being sooo sleepy the next day

  • They don't make TV shows like this anymore,I use to try and watch this show every night, back in the days.

  • Was a great show

  • arsenio would have been better than johnny carlson.. i think that's why they dont have successful Negroid talk shows last very long. Negroids with a BACKBONE... not American Negroes that are obedient....= (

  • MISS THIS SHOW SO MUCH!

  • if you look real close you will see me in the dogpound, right in the middle, it was fun and I got to eat some James brown cookies.

  • if you look real close you will see me in the dogpound, right in the middle

  • I still remember his show to this day!! I remember how he got the show...the original host of the show was Joan Rivers. She will ill and they asked Arsenio to fill in for her...the show got major ratings when he was hosting and they gave him his own show.

  • Well,,,fucking FOX is owned by zionist jews anyway.

  • I don't get it. Why does the black mans show have to be cancelled and all these white people still have there shows. Don't say nothing bout ratings and the montell show doesn't count. I'm a little too young to remember the show but I was about 3 when it's was cancelled its seemed like a cool show

  • @simsalfred7 They stopped the show because he interviewed Farrakhan and was warned no to do it. He's a heroe in my eyes.

  • @Freethinkersclubuk - And it didn't take long for them to take it away from him either. The show was gone within weeks!

  • @Freethinkersclubuk Come on man, if you're going to make a valid argument, get your spelling right.

  • @BionicQ Is that all you could take from my my remark? Is the truth not more important than a spelling mistake you doughnut! so what if I accidentally put an e on hero... The truth of the argument still stands and even you stated the comment was valid which meant you understood it 's sentiment so go away.

  • @Freethinkersclubuk My point was that your argument would hold much more weight, and look stronger if you took the time to make sure everything was spelled correctly. My purpose was not to disagree with what you said, everybody has a right to an opinion. I just wanted you to state in it in the strongest way possible. No disrespect was intended.

  • I thought In Living Color was exaggerating with this long ass "Arsenio" introduction that this guy does but they weren't exaggerating at all.

  • This was the best late night show ever (for me, anyway) I remember this show like yesterday. Were My Dog Pound At!? Arsenio had all the up to date entertainers on his show. The man did what he felt he had to do.

  • Comment removed

  • You got the one when Arsenio Hall raps?

  • Bring the Arsenio show back. Greatest show ever.

  • I loved this show

  • Is it just me or did Arsenio go from Carlton to Will over the course of the show?

  • @surfer53 No culture changed a lot in such a short time

  • They need to show re runs of this show! This was THE best late night talk show PERIOD. There will never be another Arsenio Hall show.

  • this was a talk show and a party all rapped into one.

  • Yeah I have to agree with you on this because after Farrahkhan was on his show I saw the last show aired and I have never seen Arsenio Hall on tv at all.

Jews did this not the good Jews the Bad ones. who control the banking industry and big money...such as World Bank and a few others.

  • @rickuadra23 because he had the Honorable Louis Farrakhan on the show and had him do a whole hour segment without having the other guest or talent on the show.. they knew how SUCCESSFUL Arsenio was... just another example of how we get played even til very day.. it's even worse, now that everyone is consumed with GETTIN MONEY!! @ any cost!!

  • ARSENIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......HALL.

  • why did they stop the show?

  • Arsenio needs a new talk show!

  • the 90s were magical times.

  • Arsenio is great, much better than Leno. The next time Leno leaves the Tonight Show, Arsenio should take over. Leno would have no chance in hell screwing over Arsenio like he did to Conan.

  • "Hall's show was aimed at the younger urban audience, with Eddie Murphy (a personal friend of Hall's) and other performers often featured. The show quickly appealed to young people of all races and began to attract a wide variety of guests. It became the show for entertainers to go to in order to reach the 'MTV Generation.'" --Wikipedia

This is hilarious to me because I watched this with my dad, a then 60-year old (white) Korean War veteran. He absolutely loved this show.

    Just shows to go you

  • he really does need to come back to late night then ther would really be something worth watching intstead of that crap letterman,&the jay leno, conan'obrien crap he was the best thing on late night tv

  • Man, Burton Richardson...great lungs!!!

  • aresenio hall's show was cancelled after the airing of minister louis farrahkaun look it up

  • @MsPuddie and nation of islam

  • This show should have never ended...

  • To me his shows all rocked! Damn entertaining guy!

  • The real reason Hall's show got cancelled was because he felt that syndication was not a good forum for a late night talk show after CBS signed Dave Letterman. Hall simply resigned his post.

  • It wasn't just that -- Arsenio's show was syndicated and on CBS stations in a lot of markets. The network was making it worth its affiliates' while to take the time back, given how much money Letterman was getting.

  • Paul Mooney was right when he said that if you like something to much, white people will take it away.

  • @kdixon7783B Paul Mooney is one funny ass dude :)

  • @kdixon7783B real shit! this was killin all the other late night shows the only one i like even CLOSE to as much as this is conan.. but arsenio had THE show n they took it away for no damn reason!

  • Why did the motherfucker get canceled?

  • because he interviewed louis farrakan

  • @zedrein18'

racist blacks say he got canceled because he interviewed racist farrakan. Paramount's position was that ratings had dramatically fallen, causing a sharp decline in advertising revenue, which led to their decision to cancel.

  • @itzmurda81 the reason why that's bullcrap to many blacks is that many shows were on that had poor rating and low ad revenue and yet they were kept on the air. this is back in the day when a network, IF they believed in you/the show, would leave you on the air regardless of the low rating and etc believing that the audience would find you.

  • @amdouglaspaul

if the audience hadnt found him in the 5 years he was on the air, he wasnt gonna be found at all. the reason many blacks feel the way you described is because everything is about race to them. black people say and think the words "black" and "white" more than any other people on the planet. no matter the color, if he had the viewers, the jews who control television would have kept him on. its about money, not race.

  • I think he quit. I think he just got tired of doing the show and the rating were slipping.

  • and this is what life was like before the internet

  • Oh Bullshit!! And talkin' that "sistah from the hood" shit doesn't make your comment valid nor truthful!! Arsenio had a loads of Rappers on his show and white stream America was not willing to accept nor embrace it during that period. They didn't want their children exposed to it because they felt it promoted a degrative lifestyle. Therefore Arsenio lost viewership and endorsements.., 2 things that you can't run a successful show without. It had nothing to do with him dissing anybody!!

  • You're prolly 100% right on that. But I have to say I come from an Irish catholic family and me and my mother stayed up everynight to watch this show. We loved it because he was the most intelligent talk show host on at the time. He asked real questions and didn't pander to the audience. Even white people respected that. Or at least we did.

  • I hearya! And Aresenio's Show gave rappers a true platform and that's why it survived and continues today. It's sad that he hasn't given Talk another chance at this point.= because what we have as 'late night' currently is the boringest shit I've seen in a long time!!

  • Does anyone know why this show ended? All I know is I grew up watching this show and it should have never ended! Imagine if Arsenio was still goin on from back then to 2009, that would have been sick and Arsenio would be like the black letterman. A legend.

  • Very Innovative, fresh, young, and vibrant late nite talk show! As a 15, 16, and 17 year old, you would NEVER catch me watching Carson or any of the other guys, but I SURE did stay up late on those school nights to catch Arsenio!! Even recorded a bunch of his show on.....VCR..... lol. Can't wait for the dvd set to come out. I sure as hell don't miss the 90's, but I most definitely miss the Arsenio Hall show!!

  • Mann how the hell can you even say you don't miss the 90's? The 90's were the greatest decade for culture ever! o_O

  • you are so right, I was 16 years olds in 1990 and feel like my youth in the 90's was the best feeling time, Cypress hill and smoking joints, swapmeets with all the latest in underground rap tapes, Colorful real sitcoms, the hood movies blew me away and so on! ...A time lost forever in memory, no words can describe. Thanks for your great comment.

  • No problem. You're right, I feel like today's kids don't know what they're missing! This generation is going down the drain.

  • Word

  • You motherfuckin' right.

  • @royalsteven I want the 90s back, these times are just too cruel to live in. Unity is gone, quality is gone, all that matters is consumers and materialism. Where is the love?

  • True that, what I think most is missing is spirituality, deeper meaning, sense, love, hope, trust, wisdom all those things human kind needs to survive. Materialism doesn't give eternal satisfaction.

  • @royalsteven THANK YOU! THANK YOU! 1000x Thank you! Finally, someone understands how great the 90's were! The 90's were the BEST when it came to quality TV(talk shows, cartoons, less reality television) they were awesome!

  • Yes indeed, that's why we all miss them! Kids today don't know.

  • @royalsteven True DAT!!!

  • "The 90's were the greatest decade for culture ever"

I DEFINITELY wouldn't say that. The 90s were nothing more than an attempted re-make of what took place in the 80's, that's WHY from a musical standpoint, the MAJORITY of the BIGGEST hits in the 90's were ALL 80's re-makes/remixes/samples LOL!!

The 80's DEFINED pop culture as we KNOW it..

It's there you find the advent of BET, MTV & VHS, as well as being the "Golden Era" of Hip Hop, which is the dominant musical genre of today..

  • If you talk like this I would also say the 70's and 60's were great decades. Yes the 80's were also great but I love the 90's better. I think the 90's had better music (rap from '91-'96, grunge no hairmetal, trip-hop), movies, tv-shows, clothing style and videogames. Styles were more viarated and mixed then the 80's but that's just my opinion :D

  • "I think the 90's had better music"

How? Everything in the 90's was a damn 80's remake/re-mix or sample LOL!!

Better rap music? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah *wiping my eyes*

197? - early 80's The movement begins & takes shape

    Mid 80's - early 90's Hip Hop's Golden Era

1994 Hip Hop's downward spiral begins

1995-98 The Deregulation Act KILLS hip hop's artistry, creativity & originality

1999-04 Hip Hop's on its death bed

2005-present Hip Hop retreats to the underground

  • Yes opinions differ. Rap music 90-95 best. Wu-tang, Nas, Pete Rock & CL, Redman, Gangstarr, Public Enemy, Dr.Dre, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Cypress Hill, Busta Rhymes, Brand Nubian, Beastie Boys, Gravediggaz, Ice Cube, Ice-T, Jay-Z, House Of Pain, Xzibit, Mobb Deep, Naughty By Nature, Outkast, Notorius BIG, Warren G, Jeru The Damaja, EPMD......You know what I'm saying?

  • @RealFan357 Speak on it!!! Preach!!!

  • @royalsteven sorry it was the 80's that got everything started

  • Yes started, but the 90's perfected it :D

  • @cds66 you right about that i love 80's and 90's.

  • @cds66 Lol you right about that i love the 80's and 90's.

  • @royalsteven but kurt cobain died

  • Did he really? Oh thanks for telling me :P

  • @royalsteven fuck the nineties, my friend. eighties too

  • I like both. But how can you disregard a whole decade?

  • @royalsteven they were both terrible. the strength of pop culture is how you measure that

  • Ehhh so only teen pop music made those 20 years of culture crap? There was no other art being made? Rock, hip-hop, dance, soul, r&b, classical, no literature, no videogames, no tv-programmes, no visual arts, no movies?!?! What are you saying man??!?!?!?

  • @royalsteven you and i are on different levels. youre looking at things through the television set and im not. so i'll jump on the page with ya and say that madonna's lyrics are beautiful

  • Television? I barely watch it?!?! And how do you suppose to get familiar with art? Except through mediums like tv, radio, internet or magazines?!?! You tell me? I forgot also a lot of good magazines where made. And yes, Madonna, Prince, George Michael, A-Ha, Bangles, Air Supply, Phil Collins, Hall & Oates, Whitney Houston, Billy Joel, Elton John, Roxette, Tina Turner, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson all very good pop music. I am not talking about N Sync or Britney you know what I'm saying?!?!?!

  • @royalsteven lol! okay just chill dude! your television is very nice =)

    tell whitney i said hello

  • this was the only talk show ever worth watching besides johhny carson everyone else sucks

  • why destiny don't bring me back stuff like that so I can really enjoy it

    funny,productive and very entertainment

  • I love Burton Richardson's "arsenioooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooo HALL!" announcement!

  • Twenty seconds, specially for the last one.

  • @GameShowNetwork And I'm betting the idea came from former New York weatherman Lloyd Lindsay Young and his "Hellllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooo..." shout-outs.

  • i dislike kids today more than anything...bunch of punks

  • Bring Arsenio Back!!!!!

  • Man why isn't there a late night show like this now? This is great.

  • This was the best late night talk show ever on TV, so alive and fresh. waay better then anything out now.

  • This show should honestly still be on today! His show was so good and he was so bold.

  • My family and I watced 90s t.v. show that was I was born. Arsenio Hall much better than Jimmy Fallon. I miss 90s and come back! :(

  • arsenioooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Hall

  • Why did Arsenio get forced off the air?

Arsenio + The Roots- some1 get 'er done!

    Arsenio > Jay > Dave > O'Brien.

  • Kng my friend, it will never be the same, we live during America's best days, these kids today are slowly taking us down the drain!!!! We had it good didn't we?

  • Jimmy Fallon is terrible! Bring back Arsenio!!

  • Jimmy Fallon and Arsenio Hall need to switch places. Jimmy can't handle the Night life himself. Arsenio has experience and he's funnier than Fallon. I love Conan O'BriI just think Arsenio Hall and the Roots would of been a better match. Jimmy Fallon is more Game show host.

  • What was the real reason behind his cancellation? Did it have anything to do with Farakhan appearing on his show?

  • I did believe it had to do with Farakhan being on. I'm not sure which came first maybe he knew when the show was ending and decided to have Farakhan before it ended, but the show end while it was still HOT HOT. That was the best late night talk show of all the shows.

  • i wish it was the 90's again :(

  • WHYY!!!!!!!! I wass born in the 90's so i remember watchin Arsenio on tapes my my mom recorded over lol. I wonder how this tv show would really be with the new hip hop generation...it will not be the same. Lets play reruns of this and Yo! Mtv Raps!! let them have there own tv station!!

  • Michael Woolf gimme sum of dat Sly Stone thanking u 4 lettinme bemicelfagin funk!!!

  • Plain and simple, DEMOGRAPHICS. That's what canceled Arsenios hilarious show. I guess they figured the "majority" needed someone they could relate to more. You know how it is. I'm not even black and I would watch Arsenio over Conan or Leno any day...don't mean to get racial but.. you know what I am lean towards ;).. Demographics...

  • I agree with ratedtriplex, If you ask me, they should have filled Conan O'Brians' spot with an Arsenio Hall latenight show. Of course that would never have happened. Arsenio was electrifying, hilarious, never a dull moment on his show...quite frankly better than Conans' show. Not to get racial or anything, but if you ask me.. I think the powers that be prolly thought that Arsenio was appealing more to a minority then the general US audience, which happens to be Caucasian. So instead they They...

  • (continution) So instead they replaced him with someone who would relate more to the general American public or in other words the "majority". I understand Leno was his replacement, but Lenos' style is more antiquated..(old fashioned kinda humor). I believe Conan was the real replacment, since Conan not only would appeal to the overall American majority, but also the the younger audiences (since Conans' style is more modern, sorta immature, retarded idiotic nonsensical kinda humor) .. .

  • (continuation) I find Lenos' style funnier then Conans... Call me Old fashioned I guess.Arsenio in my opinion is/was better then Conan and definitely up there with Leno, equally .. both have their own styles but definitely worthy of a late night spot. Arsenio Halirious! Miss his show! It all came/comes down to demographics so they canceled and replaced Aresnios' show. Buncha bull...I feel the same way about Paul Rodriquez, hilarious! Had Rodriguez come along 10 years later he would have been ..

  • well, gues what...its time to bring him back cuz jimmy fallon is HORRIBLE!

  • That sucks so bad, last episode =[

Wish they kept the show going all through the 90's.

  • i know right. this show appealed more to the younger crowd than leno or lettterman. not just young adults but teens and pre teens as well. back when i was in middle school, nobody gave a damn about letterman or leno, but we loved aresenio hall. too bad none of us could stay up late enough to watch him monday thru thursday. BET looooves to bring back old shit, they need to give aresenio a talkshow on their network.

  • I live in England and i never seen one of his shows what a shame. but i I'm so thankful for you and others who are posting these shows on YouTube because i have a lot of catching up to do

    hotep!

  • i live in hollywood and ive seen advertisement for arseios new show! i hope its good!

  • no offence of the fans of this show,, i hate everything about this show,,its not even funny sometimes,,,ppl get hurt and ppl laugh,,not funny at all

  • FATUSHKA: Who got hurt on "The Arsenio Hall Show?" Are you talking about this show that ran from 1989 to 1994? Or are you referring to his new gig as host of that "Funniest Videos"-type show?

I don't remember anyone getting hurt on this show, with the possible exception of Vanilla Ice's ego and those morons from Queer Nation out in the audience that one time.

And Arsenio himself maybe, when he slipped in a puddle of water from a burst water balloon onstage before the monologue.

  • i mean some ppl are hurt by falling down, crashed by cars..i remember this kid on scooter accidentally jumped on his stomatch to kid standing by him scooter,,her really got hurt and ppl are laughing,,its not funnny

  • Yes, but you didn't answer my real question. And in a sense, I guess, you actually did.

The incidents you describe never occurred on "The Arsenio Hall Show." So I have no idea what television program you might be complaining about.

Again, if it's the show I described to you earlier, which is his newer show, please inform me.

  • the funniest moment in the world

  • Funniest Moments, with Arsenio Hall as the host! ,,,,,watch it ,,God its just ppl getting hurt,,its very terriable

  • Okay, finally a sensible answer from you!'

I agree, Arsenio's current show isn't very funny, and he pushes his "personality" too hard given the subject matter of the show.

But you mustn't get his new show confused with the great show he had from 1989 - 1994.

    There's a huge difference.

  • thnx 4 the correction iam not a big of him ,,,so i thought it was only one show,,,lol thnx again hun

  • Glad to be of help.

  • This was one of the shows of the 90's! Some times I did not watch for months, but I still kept it in mind.

  • It's a damn shame Arsenio's show got taken off the air. I watched or taped on my old VCR nearly every episode of his show.

Compared to all the hacks that do late night today, Arsenio was original and innovative.

I wish they'd bring him back.

  • An awesome thing you still think that! :) But if he stayed around, still had his show - trust me.. he would be treated as Letterman and Leno these days. People would say he no longer was original or great. He would be on of the many "bad" talkshow hosts. That's the truth... if Letterman had quit ten years ago, he would be more respected now... Guess, in the minds of latenite comedy there can only be one king - Johnny Carson! Thats how it is nowadays, either you respected when gone or not at all!

  • when did the show end? For fuck sake why aren't my people doing great things like this anymore! (no including barack obama)

  • Just what exactly do you mean by "my people"? I guess you're waiting on someone black to do something for "your people". You sound just like the type of person I would expect to say this. Get with it, its not a race thing.

  • What type of person am I u cunt TELL ME!!!!!

  • I think your words and language in the last two comments you've made accurately describe what type of person you are. You've spelt it out for yourself.

  • U didn't answer my question prick so... TELL ME NOW!!!

  • They took it off because he had Farrakhan on the show and they big wigs told him they were against it but he did it anyway. That's why they won't put the DVD out of the show cause they don't him to profit from it at all.

  • ok thanks!

  • Tomorrow (January 3rd) is the 20th anniversary of the show's debut. Damn, how time flies...I was eight years old when the show premiered, and I stayed up to see the debut.

  • 15 years later and nothing to replace it. We really need a late night show focused on music. I watched this live too, Arsenio was a great host. TV has changed a lot this decade.

  • I watched this episode when it aired live. I believe I was 14.

  • The announcer of this show is none other than Burton Richardson, the same person who also did "The 'New' Price is Right '94", "To Tell the Truth", "Family Feud '99-today", and some others. Some people call him the 'African-american Johnny Olson'.

  • I remember when Burton Richardson used to do commercials for the Columbia School of Broadcasting. before the Arsenio Hall Show began "You never know what you can do until you try."

WHO KNEW? He's a great voice!

And I truly miss the Arsenio Hall show! I had the pleasure of attending a taping once! It was fantastic!

  • He's the shit and I heard him on the radio recently

  • WoW! What a crappy reason to cancel such a great show!

  • The Phil Donahue show wasn't cancelled and he Donahue invited him more than 1 time, ...what hypocrosy

  • Actually you're all wrong. Louis Farrakhan was ALLOWED to come on the show. He brought on the *rebel* Khalid Muhammad and that's what got the show ex'd. Always a bunch of dumbasses trying to sound intelligent.

    I watched the show.

  • Hey DawgcityClev...I watched the show that night as well and although Khalid Muhammad was there...the point of the matter is he would not have been there if Min. Farrakhan was not there, so therefore the show was taken off the due Arsenio Hall going against the show execs and having the Min. on... Arsenio said it himself at the beginning of the show..MR. INTELLIGENT

  • What year did this show go off air anyone ?

  • 1994

  • Nice 1

  • I always loved this show. Why did it go off the air? Bring back Arsenio!!

  • It went off the air, because he was told not to have Elijah Muhammad's N.O.I. ex member on the show. His name was *something* Muhammad and he's passed away now.

But he brought him on, for an entire hour. The show didn't last much longer as they quickly canned Arsenio for going against the grain.

  • It wasn't the one that passed away that Arsenio had on the show, it was Louis Farrakhan that he brought on the show for the full hour. There was no other host like him and no other show like his.

  • DawgcityClev

NO! He brought on Louis Farrakhan. Who are you talking about, "an ex member" that passed away. He's still alive. I hate when people make shit up.

Anyway, bringing Farrakhan on pissed off a lot of people, especially Jews, who made his show disappear. Don't piss off the Jews, or you will no longer exist!

Now that I think about, will I disappear if I post this.......
