Not really. Most of the horses have 3 walled shelters. As long as they aren't blanketed it's not too bad. The ones with blankets don't grow thick winter hair and if their is a blizzard then they sometimes come into the barn but for the most part they all can stay out side, WA doesn't get too chilly.

Does it ever get too cold for the horses to be kept outside?
