  • I love how these things are totally still in. Mucho love! Haha, I think the fashion that isn't really mainstream tends to stick around longer.

  • DIY means do it yourself

  • i like how you showed off trends that weren't as mainstream and safe, but i have to say that they're a bit hard to wear.

  • Lol these are kinda scary fashions :O

  • LMAO

  • Great advice

  • thank ive been doing it for about 3 yrs. just little stuff. Also studded belts(if u can) and charms or something anlng the edge of your collar........PEACE AND STAY GREEN

  • Rufio's page doesn't open, which someone already said, so how about another way to look them up?

If I had to wear a school uniform, I'd shoot myself. Are you allowed to swap out the buttons or anything? Self-expression rules.

  • I like the 80s stuff and the stencils :)

  • ~lol~ in the stencil segment, the stencil for LockDownDuck Producktions came up! ~LOL~ that's my original design and a bitch to stencil... thanks for those on the forum who made it more stencil-able than i could!!! and thank you threadbanger for showing it in the vid!!!!

  • this was great :) thanks! oh and the collar suggestion... genius. well more funny than genius but thanks anyways :)

  • its steampunk not really victorian -- its retro-futurism as a neo-victorian fashion statement? does that make any sense?

  • pop your collar WoW my sewing machine is broke is there a tutorial o n how to do that? Awesome epi as always!

  • i thought the retro look is getting a little old. But mixed with different styles it would look cool.

  • we suggest you pop it. =]

    coolios

  • lol "we suggest you pop it"

  • Hahaha Pop it

  • I think the Victorian thing is more about the Steampunk trend.

  • we have this "hair up" rule where you havveee to wear your hair up, and i look terrible with one ponytail so i use two low ones, umm any suggestions for cool hair for up-do's?

  • braids allowed?

  • You could always do a low side-pony, or a low side bun. I always opt for that when I want my hair out of my face.

You could also try a French braid or braids.

  • A oversized-bun:

-Tie your hair up into a pony tail (as high as you want).

-Taking a section of hair (make sure there are enough sections to go around) bobby pin it to your head so that you form a loop.

-Keep taking sections and pinning them into loops so that it eventually looks like an oversized bun.

Those were bad instructions, but you can message me if you're really interested. I have some picture-instructions that make it very clear. This is best for avg.-to-thick, short-to-medium hair.

  • i like the victorian stuff, but ive been dressing like that since the 7th grade (junior now). i dont like the whole, "this is what's in" thing, though, but i guess it's useful for some people

  • Somehow I don't think that Victoriana is really and emerging fashion trend either. I'm willing to endorse it, but I haven't seen anyone outside of Goth Clubs dressing like that.

  • Probably not hardcore Victorian, but vests and tights are in. I think when they say Victorian, they're really referring to that whole prep-punk look that's real popular this fall. The people in the picture looked like they were just a group of friends getting together to just dress up.

  • lol I am goth...and I still like it, but yeah, it's been around for a while.

  • like the idea of updates like this, but having these little mini segments every tuesday and thursday is too short. i think you should combine what you have to say on those days into one day.. if that made sense.

  • i really love the retro 80's look mixed in with the victorian theme

    neutral meet wacky colors :]

  • HEy all....because everyones asking for more Threadbanger , in addition to our Friday show we've decided to release these short little Threadbanger segments every tuesday and thursday. Let us know what you think....and see you thursday !

  • NO POPPING COLLARS!!!

    *has a fit*

    Please. No. I beg thee.

  • This! Soooo much!

  • Do you really need someone to tell you how to dress?

  • woah, rob that one was quick

  • hippieadrien...how nice to see you !

    -ROb

  • umm...that was quick

  • why so short?

  • Why so Serious?

  • bahahahaha!

    i love the joker!

    :E

  • i wear uniform but i dont wanna pop my collar..lolz

  • for all of you complaining about the uniform thing...

most of the other stuff he said can be translated into backpacks, jewelery, that kind of stuff.

  • Popping the collar? We have a uniform and that's not ever allowed...

Plus, it makes one look like a pimp.

  • popping collars? yipes...

    that's me un-subscribing.

ha!, but seriously I'll stick around, but I'm warning you...

  • This year, I don't have a uniform, but I can't wear whatever I want either. Out dress code is STRICT. No screen prints, no logos unless they're under 2 inches, no embroidery, nothing skintight or baggy (um... I don't know what the middle ground is and I probably bought all the jeans I did this summer for nothing) and your socks... have to... match... Oh, and no studded belts or hoodies.

So I basically have to try and fit everything I make into this dress code now. It sucks.

  • that's a pretty ridiculous dress code, not gonna lie. sounds standard attire-ish with more freedom. good luck with that.

  • Yeah, it is. I can barely find anything that fits the dress code, and it's such a pain.

    Thanks.

  • How about wearing bright colored tube socks? Bright necklaces, rings, earrings, and headbands are really cute too. They look sophisticated and they don't seem to go against your dress code. Basically, put more attention on accessories. They're fun and easy :^)

  • Hmm, well, our skirts/shorts have to be at least to our knees, so I probably won't bother with that... Headbands and other hair accessories are banned. but the other stuff I can do as long as it's not "excessive, flashy of bulky, and does not distract from the educational process." Hahaha, this is so lame.

But thanks, I think you've given me some ideas. :)

  • My school is pretty strict on uniforms as well, and usually I find my way around by making alterations to the existing clothing. Enough to be visible, but not enough to be noticed (because of course, altering the uniform is technically forbidden). Some embroidery/small stenciling on the rim of the pockets, hems of pants or skirts, etc.

  • luckies i got a uniform

haha but the school i go to is like literally the Gossip Girl School...Chicago style haha

  • Love the Victorian garb. =)

  • popping the collar is all you have to offer people with uniforms? lame.

i was hoping you guys would to a tutorial like you did in the good old days... now you just have other people do it for you.

  • how about the super loose tie thing. with a bobbypin + cool button tie clip?

  • the japanese find lots of ways to doll up uniforms, I would use their examples. The popping the collar thing was pretty weak.

  • Rob...If I ever meet you I have to kick you, Popped Collars!?!?

    WHAT THE HELL?lol

  • Uuuuugh, no popping collars!! Looks so lame.

  • on the first day of school IM WEARIN A UNIFORM

    yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Nice video!!

  • ahh. september 4th :\

  • Im homeschooled :( but I would show you if I was in school and it actually mattered what I looked like

  • same here dude

  • Ahhh, I went through that for like, 3 years.

I just studied in my pj's and ate at the same time. :P

  • Im in tenth grade now (really behind though) and ive been doing this since third grade!

  • D: Poor you! Well, I don't know... I just really never liked homeschooling from the start.

  • aug 27 is my B-day

  • Do Not pop your collar. That's not cute.

  • i second that!

  • I third that, srsly, popping the collar makes you look lame.

  • I go back to school on september 8th

  • pop the coller LOL!

  • I saw my name!! woo hoo!! "B!0H@Z@Rd" 0:33 :D

  • As much as I love your show, but I just can't agree with collar popping.

  • Okay, this is really only vaguely related to your comment, but....I can't pop my collar. Seriously. It doesn't work. It won't stay up. This is most likely because I am not cool enough. Luckily, I don't have a school uniform. So it's kind of a non-issue.

  • thanks to hurrican fey i missed 2 days of school (:

  • I start school on september 2nd

  • whoa lol i start august 27th lol

  • ugh i go back to school August 28th

  • thats my birthday :D

  • Rippin' cool! I love the vintage looks.

  • I REALLY don't want to go back to school but the only reason I would want to this year is because I just painted my old backpack NEON COLORS AND ZEBRA STRIPES WOOO. It's awesome. :D

  • yay!..first comment
