  • If wind waker was a "kiddie" game, I would have beaten it -_-

  • Don't get me wrong, I love Wind Waker, the game opens up a new way of exploration that no Zelda game can do. But it's too easy, WAY too easy. They should really try to put these games out in moderation, give the "kids" these games and release the other more mature games that you say they should do. It's really Nintendo being Nintendo so I don't really know what they'll do.

  • if you want a uber in depth story and mature content..... dont play anything made by nintendo

  • You suck. How are they kids games? DID YOU EVEN PLAY THEM!

  • Don't forget about Majora's Mask!

  • If ur a zelda fan you wont complain... are they the best? not by any means but they r all part of the collection... so there for... no bad talkin it or u will get ur fart box tongue punched :) peace

  • I understand where you're coming from and I hate those "ok" games too but I think that mature isn't the right word. You want a game thats for all ages. They probably are just into that short term flow of cash ten make another "ok" game once they've suck the last game dry.

  • I think Zelda games have always been good for people of any age. I'm not sure what you mean by more "mature" games. I've been a huge Zelda fan since I was like 8 years old, and I was playing games like OOT and ALTTP back then, so how "mature" could they really be? I'm still in the process of trying to beat every Zelda game, and I honestly love all of them. There's no reason you can't enjoy a game just because it looks like it might be for a younger audience.

  • Amen. Skyward sword is a step in the wrong direction.

  • @GamingRetrospective -_-" *facepalm*

  • Don't tell me you haven't been moved in watching the Wind Waker prologue telling about the old legend about the hero of time !

I'm older than you, and I've grown with A Link To The Past (which is still my favourite Zelda... I told you I'm old). Anyway, hearing the Hyrule overworld theme song just got me a lump in my throat.

And discovering again the Hyrule Castle, with the old ALTTP Hyrule castle music. GOSH! That's not a gaming experience, it's my own childhood that I was re-discovering !

  • this lady scares me

  • Nintendo's console Zelda titles have ALWAYS been bigger & more hardcore than the portable titles. I realize you made this video before they announced Skyward Sword & Ocarina of Time 3D, but I still disagree with almost everything you said.

  • The hardcore games have moved onto Zelda porn now.

  • wow really yeah there are a lot of hardcore zelda fans but think about it for 1 second there are kids who play zelda and they like those. also i liked all those games. seriously some people dont have loads of free time to complete the longer zelda games and wind waker was AWSOME .yeah i was like 8 when it came out. but i still love that game i still play it it is a great game. all my friends play that game. it was a sequal to ocarina. yeah its graphics were childish but still a great game.

  • I consider myself a diehard zelda fan. I'm 21 and wind waker is easily my favirote. Twlight princess was nothing more than a rehashed OOT.

  • I think Wind Waker had a good story and was not too much for kids cuz like the king dies in the end and sorry but think I am more of a zelda fan then you are I love all zelda games even rare one like ZELDA GAME AND WATCH or like ZELDA GAME WATCH or even the BS ZELDAS and TINGLE GAMES. LOL

  • Now I see what you mean about how there are too many cel-shaded Zelda games, but personally I thought Wind Waker was gorgeous and didn't look 'kiddy' at all. It was an awesome game that took up two weeks of my time(I still play it), but when I look at Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, I just shake my head. Those games are the ones that look like a 4 year old drew on a piece of paper. They are fun but just not as great as Wind Waker. The Minish Cap was a great game and it reminded me of ALttP.

  • @mariomaster657

I kinda liked Phantom Hourglass, mostly for Linebeck. I loathed Spirit Tracks. I unfortunately never got to finish Minish Cap. I was half way through when my system died. : (

  • @imogenemereal Phantom Hourglass was an OK Zelda, just for Linebeck, though. Spirit Tracks wasn't too bad.

    Sorry about your GBA. =(

  • I totally agree. People complain that us hardcore gamers hate games because of the way they look, but it's not just that. I mean, Zelda is supposed to be epic, right? When they do that crappy little cartoon stuff, it seriously deprives the story of it's epic-ness. So most really loyal Zelda fans don't favor to it.

  • Okay,Windwaker is awesome,Ocarina of Time is awesome,MM is a pain in the ass, a link to the past is unforgetable. TP was a great game, I am actually attempting it a second try again. Now I played a decent amount of phantom hourglass, and I will put it like this, it was a CHORE not a PLEASURE. That is the problem with most games today.I enjoyed a couple things about phantom but would a recomend it,HELL NO.

  • ... Little kid games? LOL! That's the funniest thing I've heard in a while. The Legend of Zelda series is for EVERYONE, including adults. Hell, my grandpa even likes Wind Waker. It seems to me that all you want is another pretty boy Link to fangasm over while you bitchplay the game.

  • @Tapelatube If a game is made to appeal to everyone, they have to tone it down, so that kids can play it as well. When games are constantly toned down like that, they simply come across to me as being childish. It's great if your grandfather likes the game, though I personally didn't care for it. And don't get me wrong, I play all the games because I love puzzles. I don't know of a single person who plays an entire game, let alone an entire series, just because the main character is "pretty."

  • @imogenemereal

What is so so childish about WW and PH? Sure, they aren't dark or anything, but the're really not childish. The graphical style doesn't mean everything you know. Look at the story of WW. That was very serious, pretty dark and by no means childish. Further then that it is about the same as OoT.

  • i dont think wind waker is childish, the only reason people say that is because of the graphics. my brother, uncle, and i had a blast beating it.

  • @cr4zyaboutRS

The graphics in itself was child-like, but playing the game as a whole, I can't say that I felt my age. There was no gore, (not that any Zelda game really has that) there was nothing adult like in it (at least not that I can remember). I found the game to be mostly annoying and not very fun. I try to think back on the game and can unfortunately only remember looking for those darned triforce pieces. that consumed most of my time.

  • WTF? Twilight Princess is pretty much an Ocarina clone... and Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are the handheld Zelda games. They arent meant to cater to the real fans... BUT!! They are great games!! Have you played them? Since this video was made before the announcement of Zelda Wii, I wont go on about the other point you made about wanting another one. But really, you want another Ocarina? Twilight is it. A better game than Ocarina if you arent blinded with Nostalgia.

  • @Whitehawkup ive beaten both oot and twilight many times (im a zelda fanatic), but they are definetly not clones of each other. they are very much different. thw whole layout of the game is different. i think u are blinded by the like-named places in the two games.

  • @cr4zyaboutRS It isn't an exact clone... but it annoyed me that she wanted a remake of game that is very similar to Twilight Princess, and you can't deny that... The order of the temples... Forest Temple, Goron Mines, Lakebed Temple (The Water Temple). You get the Master sword around the same time... The Sacred Grove(The Lost woods) The Temple of Time... You can't say while you were playing TP, you didn't have a since of Deja'vu?

  • @Whitehawkup

Perhaps I should clear this up. I don't necessarily want a remake of OoT, just meant another awesome game like it. TP was awesome, and similar to OoT in several ways, but still vastly different. And I CAN say I did not have a sense of Deja'vu while playing TP.

  • @imogenemereal Ok... it's cool. lol. Well, not sure if your even aware of this... E3 2010 is tomorrow, and they will have a trailer of the new Zelda exclusive to Wii. It's suppose to have Wii motion plus and rumored to be compatible with the vitality sensor. It's suppose to be something we've never seen before in a Zelda game. Nintendo's conference starts at 9am Pacific time.

  • @Whitehawkup O_O'' I had no idea!! *rushes to see* THANK YOU!! <3

  • wind waker was awesome! and spirit tracks is really fun! and this are not games for "four year olds" because there pretty much as challenging as orcarina of time.(no offence)

  • @kimhamninja7

I agree that those games were indeed challenging, especially Spirit Tracks. I think it's mostly the graphics and the lack of "adult themes" that I'm complaining about...

  • Sorry, I wasn't paying attention to your rant, but I was paying attention to your stunning beauty. =D

  • @mariomaster657

    How kind! n_n Thank you!

  • No problem, you're pretty *blush*.

  • Wind Waker childish? WoW. I absolutely love that game , but my favorite is Twilight Princess. However, I do agree about Minish Camp and Phantom Hourglass...Ridiculous...just ridiculous.

    Overall, nice video

  • Don't you mean Minish Cap? =)

  • Childish games? Wind Waker is not very childish at all... The graphics, yea, they look cartoonish but the storyline? Everything is a bit darker than Ocarina if you ask me. Flooded Hyrule, Ganondorf bitchslapping both Link and Zelda, not to mention the last battle... None of that was childish. And it wasn't an "ok" game. It's one of the BEST Zelda games overall. I think you're confusing not liking the graphics with not liking the game overall. Every Zelda game is amazing, mature or not.

  • I see your point in WW being kinda of dark and I hadn't really noticed that until you mentioned those things, but I do think the graphics took away from that, but I still don't like Wind Waker. It wasn't challenging enough for me and I beat it within a week. I could not, and still cannot, remember most of the game, even after I had just beaten it. Therefor, to me, it was not a good game. And on that note, not every Zelda game was amazing to me, at least not all the ones I've beaten.

  • FFS twilight princess was absolute garbage. They need to make the character design more similar to ocarina of time and majoras mask.

  • I can agree with that. I remember when I first saw trailers for TP, I had no idea it was a Zelda game until they showed the title. Its significantly different than all the other games...

  • The Legend of Zelda should definitely be more epic! Wind Waker was a great game though in my opinion, but I still feel Zelda should go back to the way it was all those years ago. "sigh" Majoras Mask was also a fantastic game.

  • seasons and ages didnt recently come out, they came out around ocarina, and windwaker appears childish but its still a nice challenge, the new ones arent so difficult but still nice to play nonetheless now im not going to bitch im just stating my opinion, also the train was just another way of transportation something new, and I actually cant wait till i get spirit tracks, but i see your point of view, also how does it being on a ds automatically kill its chances of being a great game, just a Qs

  • I am aware that seasons and ages are much older games, I simply referred to them as being "child-like" games.

I do understand, currently playing Spirit Tracks, that the train is mostly for transportation, just like in WindWaker. I based this video/rant solely on the small amount of detail I had about the game. I am playing currently, and once I beat it, I hope to make a response video giving an updated opinion in the game.

  • And as a question for you, or anyone else who cares to answer it; Has anyone played an "amazing" DS game?

  • I totally agree with you. They should spend their time making games like Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, not childish ones.

    I really loved Wind Waker though, although I wasn't that keen on the graphics. But yeah, I think they should aspire to make amazing games, not "OK" games, because real Zelda fans want amazing ones. :}

  • Your eyes remind me of Links eyes in Twilight Princess...

  • ^o^

  • I heard of that, sometime after making this video. I am stoked about it. n_n

  • I look forward to the new game, it looks like it will be a new Twilight Princess....let's hope so!! ^___^;

I didn't mind Wind Waker or Phantom Hour glass..but uh...I'd rather they stick to more mature/creepy games. :P

  • just wondering have u played majora's mask? i agree with u one the game u speak off but u have missed that one game...hmm

  • I have played MM and I've beaten it. I didn't really have a problem with it at all, besides the fact that it was by far the most annoying Zelda game there is. Granted, each Zelda game has its own degree of annoyingness, but MM was the most annoying.

  • Ocarina of Time will forever be my all time favorite game. I've played it so so many times, and I never bore of it. TP was up there, but It'll never beat OoT. Phantom Hourglass was good, but only because of Linebeck. If he wasn't in the game...it would have sucked.

  • i think the DS zelda games are a joke...

  • when you say half assed do you mean bad because there are no bad zelda games, unless you include the zelda CDi games

  • Those don't really count...not to me anyway. I don't really know what game(s) I was referring to with the "half-assed" comment. I Just think they could put more time and effort into the games is all.

  • mhm all the movement started to distract me lol i had to rewatch cuz i got distracted but windwaker and phantom hourglass werent that bad but we could always give spirit tracks a try even though it doesnt seem like a traditional but i agree many things are starting to become childish but the windwaker were good

  • HOW DID YOU EDIT THIS!? I want to clip my vids like this, how did you do it?

  • Comment removed

  • Love the video! And I agree with you, and can't wait for the next Zelda game!

btw the "little kid" Zelda games are just spin-offs of Zelda: they are extras.

They are like the appetizers before the main meal :P

and this train game, Spirit Tracks, looks like they are trying to get the Zelda series into the Industrial Revolution! :P

  • I can get the appetizers metaphor...I guess that makes sense. But the industrial revolution idea? I just don't think they should take Zelda in that direction...

  • Your right all us old school guys from the NES generation NEED another mature Zelda game. OoT was just perfect. It was one of the first N64 games I bought. It had the simple cheery moments akin to the newer Zelda games but when it got serious it REALLY got serious. It was one of those games that just felt natural. If they can return to that then it should truely revive the series as well as bring in younger gamers new to the series. It's a win win situation.

  • "woo hoo" I lol'd

When if comes down to it, the good games take alot of effort and money to make. The ok games for the DS do not, but because Zelda is in the title, it WILL sell.

It is more cost effective to make alot of shitty games. Damn you economics.

PS I got a new camera, so new videos are comin!

    PPS Nice editing
