@CI5AgentSweeps Well, S&H began in the UK in April 1976 whereas the series began proper in the US in September 1975 with the pilot episode being premiered there in spring 1975. BBC1 kicked off S&H by showing the pilot in April '76. :)
I read once that "whether (Bernie Hamilton) as (Dobey), or (Fargas) as (Huggy) it was something to watch black actors in such good roles in a TV drama back then" is that true ?? did they used to hand over only rotten characters to black people at the time ?
and did it "require one more decade to watch black actors as the main leads in action shows like this" ?? I need a full answer from experienced one please.
I loved it!!! brings back memories when I first saw this back in 1975 couldn't wait for the Pilot (Movie) to be shown. When I did see the Pilot I was hooked on Starsky and Hutch ever since.
WoW. You saw the very first episode when it happened. We moved to America New York City in 1983 & The first time i ever saw Starsky & Hutch was in syndication in 1985. GREAT SHOW! WoW in your own way you lived a part of history.
Yes, you can say I did I was about 13 years old at that time. They kept showing clips of the new shows and when they showed Starsky and Hutch 's Pilot clip I couldn't wait to see what it was about.
I saw the Pilot and loved the chemistry between all the actors!! I'm glad that Starsky and Hutch was picked up for the series. I'm sure you feel the same way.
We have a Striped Tomato Torino in our group, check it out on our channel and website!

@Ahmedabdelreheem It was season 3 "Partners". Hutch was faking to get back at Starsky for his reckless driving.

We got this pilot late in the UK, in April 1976. Saturday nights were never quite the same again.

@Banner1979 As late as that? That means S&H didn't start in the UK until late 76, is that true?
