This is my favourite christmas song by far. My mum use to put this on every christmas day when i was little and the words always stick with me. Love this song.
@Time71Team thanks for your reply , i lost my dad last christmas after a long illness , and i am not looking forward to this christmas at all , but i do have a family and as always we must go on , i have listened to this song every week of the past year , it was not one of my dads favourite songs , its mine , but i was a kid back then and thats where i wish i could go back to , 1982 for me was the best year ever , its so sad to think back , but i can not help it , again thanks for your comment .
@Time71Team I know exactly what u mean & totally agree with u, since my parents passed away Christmas has and will never be the same, when your young Christmas is such a magical time & you could never imagine life without those closest to you, but when you do loose someone close to you Christmas just becomes a painful reminder of times you'll never have again.
@emeraldgal1000 all i can say is merry christmas and a happy new year to you and your family , ........ i still and always will listen to this and many other songs ,,,, just to remind me of the past ,,, it does not get easier with time ,, if anything it gets harder ,,,, the past is something we know ,,, unlike the future ... god bless us everyone ,,,,,,
what does it mean when you play this song all times of the year , to me it reminds me of family no more ....... , and better times , times when everyone you loved were here , ... , back then in 1982 , i was 13 ,, never thought that the day would come when you would loose the closest to you , this song takes me back , and i can not listen to this without thinking of those i have lost ,, i wish everyone a merry christmas and happy new year ,, even though it is early ,
