  • simplemente horrible, ademas de maricon

  • it's a salsa class... he's showing a salsa pattern on Cha cha because it's easier to see/count/disect/repeat afterwards...

  • Remember, some "person" invented that little shuffle step in the cha cha basic, (1,2, cha cha cha, 5,6 cha cha cha). This has everyone looking the same on the dance floor, and that's not true individual expression. Maybe some ballroom dancer invented it. That common shuffle step is not the basic. The basic is just six changes in body weight, that's it. Simplify it. You're not discarding the fundamentals and structure. Invent, create your own way of doing those six changes in body weight.

  • Actually cha cha cha is on 4 & 5. Otherwise your steps are going to be offset from the cha cha cha bell.

  • You right. There is three steps on the "cha cha cha" part. Two "cha" steps on 4 and 8 with the two open tones on the tumbao. Last "cha" step on the 5 and 1.

  • Subconciously, the "cha cha principle" has an effect on dancers. That's why dancefloors clear when a cha cha is on, and only a few stay on the floor. Watch the girl in this clip. She starts off okay. Around 0:24 and 0:28 she keeps rocking back on "5" instead of "6". Throws everything off, a little. 0:43, he resets her with a spot turn, cross body, and her follow is better. She's a seasoned dancer, but this is a good example of what the cha cha can expose and discovering what to work on.

  • To pocketpt. This is one thing on "1" and some on "2" dancers refuse to understand is that salsa and cha cha are the same thing. The cha cha is just a "slower version" of the salsa/mambo. Most dancers don't realize that the key to mastering salsa is through the cha cha. Try doing your basics to the cha cha. This "slower groove" will expose any discrepancies in your basic. You can

'fluff" you steps with the "faster" salsa.
