  • My goodness I hate some of you people. As soon as I clicked on this video I said I know someone is going to ramble about how she's black or not. Hispanics come in ALL shades. I am Puerto Rican/Dominican and I have dark skin. Who gives a flying fuck about her skin color, shes beautiful and part of the human race. Does it really matter if she's considered black or not? How will that benefit you? Fuck! Get over it.

  • Thandie Newton is her hotter twin.

  • Her mouth moves but i hear no sound. Are my speakers broken? No. No they are not.

  • I hate how everyone keeps saying oh she's not black or ohh she's black. she's clearly mixed. instead of playing tug of war with her ethnicity, focus on her beauty, intelligence, and positive influence she has on all girls of EVERY culture, color, creed, and race.

    And for the record, She's Afro-dominican. :)

  • @RyanisAJerkingJunkie like zoe said it on telemundo 'at the end of the day LATINOS ARE ONE' we come in different colors,i mean yea she is black cause her skin is light black, not black american dont get confused, but afro LATINA.like she said LATINOS STAND UP MI GENTE

  • She seems a bit full of herself...

  • I have the biggest girl crush on her. Smh :)

  • i love all her movies ecxept 4 the losers!

  • Most people don't know but she's all spanish-Domnican to be exact

  • @newyorkjapan she's a black dominican.. Zoe in an interview has referred to herself as a black woman.. she is of Dominican culture but she herself is black

  • @thefwordprod she is mixed.u can tell

  • @thefwordprod i mean sometimes like she said ''in this industry when you first start you gotta go with certain lines,.on telemundo she said ''at the end of the day WE,LATINOS ARE ONE MI GENTE'' latinos come in all colors and flavors, yea her skin is light black, not black american people dont get confused,if you really look at her face features she looks more LATINA,so stop fightin over this race shit,we proud we got another latina that made it so apreciate our latin beauties.

  • @AlreadyDead11 If she doesn't look black to you, you might want to get your eyes checked. Her WIDE nose and brown skin are very black. She looks like a black girl with soft hair. She even said herself she's a black hispanic. Thats why she does black movies. Thats why she was on the cover of black magazines (essence and ebony). She black from a latin place. She's black

  • @liacashmere58 lol yeaa if you say so.show me 1 interview just 1 interview where she says she's a black latina.lol if you show me 1 interview of her saying that I WILL MAKE A VIDEO OF ME ACTING RETARDED OF WHATEVER YOU WANT.AND I WILL POST IT ON YOUTUBE..me i can show you where she says who she is,and who she's representing(LATINOS)..your not gonna find interviews of her saying ''im a black'' or i represent black people in hollywood, thats retarded.appreciate our latina beauties

  • shes so gorgeous but shes so genuine

  • What brands does she says she uses for her skincare? I can't quite catch it!!!

  • @KMMTsyd Laura Mercier

  • she looks like kid cudi at the beggining

  • @musicluva314 lmfao!!! whatt?!?!?!!

  • She's dark, and in America if you're dark you get labeled black until you correct people.

  • Comment removed

  • @LittleMissClumbzie

She's dark kiddo, maybe not to other darker skin Dominicans, but she's dark compared to other Latinos and African Americans.

  • Comment removed

  • @LittleMissClumbzie

Someone thought Saldana was black and I said no she's just dark. Why did you so desperately feel the need to correct me, a self-esteem issue perhaps? Zoe Saldana is one shade lighter than Lil Wayne....she's on the darker end of the spectrum. I know there's a lot of people that have skin color issues, but in this case this issue relative and it's about what others perceive ....sorry.

  • Comment removed

  • @Deepstarr7020 oh. my. god. wow...really? "a self-esteem issue perhaps?" this has nothing to do with me,i was questioning you because were all here to just watch zoe's vid and admire what she's about...you dont have to bring race or darkness/lightness into it...by mentioning she's dark..? ok, like whats your point,so she's a dark dominican....and.... i just dont get people who think like you...and i have to say, that is one low blow ha...trying to say im" insecure"? about what! lol no sense.

  • @LittleMissClumbzie

What the hell is wrong with you? Other people brought up her race ....that's what the comments say below. I said NO SHE ISN'T BLACK JUST DARK PERIOD.

  • Comment removed

  • @Deepstarr7020 lmao whatever dude... this is laughable.

  • @LittleMissClumbzie

Yes, you are a laughable insecure clown that didn't need to reply in the first place.

  • @Deepstarr7020 nope, i usually reply back to ignorant peeps like you...no, im actually talking about your pathetic existance...not surprised you didnt pick up on that...yes im sooo insecure :) you have me totally figured out..lmao

  • @LittleMissClumbzie

You are so emotional about this issue ...why?

"no, she's actaully not dark at all lol" this all started with you correcting my perception because you have an issue with colorism. It's 2011 get over the slave master mentality.

  • @Deepstarr7020 lol what!?!? im white you dumb bitch! lmaoooooo WOW.

  • @LittleMissClumbzie

Then you really have no place in this discussion, and you clearly have an issue with people with dark skin...now I know it's just racism. You've exposed your racism...who's a dumb bitch now?

  • @Deepstarr7020 so because im white i can't talk about this topic? umm okay, that makes sense...lol and i'm defending someone with brown skin so that makes me a racist...? lol that makes sense too...who's the dumb bitch...? you my friend lol.

  • @LittleMissClumbzie

"I'm defending someone with brown skin"

Defending?Because I said she's dark? That's what makes you sound racist, you view dark skin as an insult ....there's nothing to defend here. Did I call her names? I only said she has dark skin and you went apeshit. Go back and look at my first two comments to see how crazy you are.

  • @Deepstarr7020 exactley... look at the comments.. im as calm as can be and your the one getting all excited...it's funny to me...were all laughing here...how your acting.. and that shit doesnt work on me....sorrys....you know what i meant when i said "defending" you keep commenting back....really i view dark skin as an insult...wow i didnt know that about myself...lol & i saw that *n*gger comment on your page...it all makes sense now! no wonder your getting all heated..ha

  • @LittleMissClumbzie

"i saw that *n*gger comment on your page...it all makes sense now! no wonder your getting all heated..ha"

I'm getting all heated because I'm a nigger? Shit, and you don't think you're a racist? You must be a republican.

  • @Deepstarr7020 sure bud, whatever you say lol.

  • @LittleMissClumbzie

That's the first thing you typed that wasn't writhed with poor grammar * applauds*

  • @Deepstarr7020 sure bud, whatever you say lol

  • wow she danced for a decade! i wanna see this pretty girl dance <3 love ballet

  • @Deepstarr7020 But she is racially..It is true about that in America but more so people don't understand the difference between race, ethnicity, culture, and nationality. Racially she would follow into the category of black. Ethnicity wise she is Dominican and Puerto Rican, culturally she's a Latina, and nationality wise she's American. If people learned the true definition of these terms, just maybe the ignorance would cease. Also everything I stated she has stated of herself as well.

  • @nerd637 like she said it on telemundo ''AT THE END OF THE DAY WE,LATINOS ARE ONE'',yea her skin is light black, but if you really look at her face features she don't look black american.stop fightin over races yo.we got us another latina that made it so apreciate that.me oye mi gente

  • Anyone checked out her Punk'd episode? So hilarious!!

  • one of the sexiest & powerful women i have seen :)

  • she's exquisite.

  • She is so Gorgeous and Unique

  • SHE should have had Mila's part in Black Swan!!!!!! Hollywood casting is still so effing biased.

  • @wrathika never thought of it but she could have played the part. She was actually a ballerina and played the part in Center Stage.

  • @wrathika I agree , Hollywood casting IS biased, but in this case they casted mila because they said they needed an actress that looks a bit like natalie. I'm not sure mila LOOKs like natalie really, but apparently the director tought she did. They wanted them to look similar because mila's character is sort of a split personality of natalie's character. Aronofsky is pretty cool, I don't think he would cast people based on their race, or I like to think so.

  • She has one hell of a sexy voice...

    she is adorable..:)

  • OMG! Her Voice Is Sex To My Ear.!

  • Her being Dominican, does not change her skills as an actor. Im Dominican and my opinion of her didn't change after I figured out her race. She's so beautiful, no matter what race you want to call her

  • wow. she has so much personality

  • Smokin is all i can say.

  • a message to the one who edit.

    pay attention to audio!!!

(the music was too loud comparing to the audio of her voice. it makes the video to be annoying to be watched)

  • big head

  • @leospyder nice call her head is huge

  • She's like inhumanly beautiful.

  • when you look at her for a while, she gets more and more beautiful! she's amazing- love her!

  • wow! i love her, shes drop dead gorgeous!

  • She's so beautiful...

she's very nice and true to herself...

    I love Zoe Saldana. :)

  • Damn she's hot!

  • soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gorgeousss.......

  • what does she say at 1:11?

  • spankages

  • @UnderagedThinking892 well REAL might have been a better word; DOWN TO EARTH maybe; Kristen Stewart is very authentic...authentically awkward.

  • she has such beautiful skin.

  • I LOVE HER HAIR WOWA! ZOE YOU ARE HOT X

  • she doesn't need to do photo shoots to show how beautiful she is.... besides, less make up = more beautiful for zoe :) and she has a nice personality, not full of shit like alot of hollywood actresses/ singers etc.

  • she's sexy, marry me zoe

  • she's so AWESOME and AUTHENTIC...no Kristen Stewart stuttering here.

  • she's so thin and i love her hair better longer but she's still gorgeous, she's just a beautiful, intelligent, talented woman, loved her ever since i saw centerstage, she's just so great

  • she is such a great actress

  • she's beautiful !

  • she gives interviews like fiona apple does, just how they hold themselves.

  • its too bad she is in the biggest movie ever but she is animated. Think of all the movie parts she could get if they used her as the real Avatar character

  • well i went to nylons myspace in i saw there were no comments on her issue cover but on the others there are comments ....i dont wanna say its because shes black

  • Duh, she's Na'vi!

  • love zoe..hate that all comments always have to be about race..it just shows how far along we've gone in this world

  • Zoe Saldana is awesome, she be so beautiful and also shes a GREAT actor!

  • Amazing actress.

  • shes the hottest black girl alive

  • she's so pretty, i love how laid back she is <3<3 she reminds me SO MUCH of jada pinkett smith it's crazy. they look like twins

  • LOVE HERRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

  • @losersalwayswin

yea i just finishes watching tisdales video and zoes and i was quite shocked because

ive been hearing good review about it on youtube and had order it 2 days ago now

i cant wait to try it out hopefully i wont break out as much anymore

  • In U.S. some people seem to be allways trying to categorize other's in a determinate ethnicity. Give it a break.

  • she has one of the sexiest smiles i've ever seen

  • Zoe just does it for me

  • What can You Have,

that the stars don't? click my SCREEN NAME and find out : )

  • Mothereffing YES! I love Zoë! She is amazing, amazing, amazing! :D That cover was the first time I picked up Nylon, probably the last based on their other covers (though based on that Kristen interview I might have picked up that one).

  • She is about as lovely as it gets! She has such natural talent and I can't wait to see her career progress. She seems very classy and sweet as well.

  • Ya know what...I was just about to say how proud I am of Nylon that they included someone of substance and guess what...someone of COLOR on the cover! But, here's what. I'm not going to congratulate you for getting it right every 7-11 months. Each month should have substance. I shouldn't feel the need to roll my eyes. Please don't disappoint.

  • ZOE is like a Halle Berry , she can look beautiful natural and sexy when she wants to , shes real and genuine .=]

  • she's hella sexy and GORGEOUS!

  • I love this girl!!!

    ROCK ON!

  • Zoe could put a little more meat on her bones.

  • she has the longest looking arms ever!!

She looks chill. I bought the issue

  • FINALLY A LATINA!! I ADORE Zoe, she's simply AMAZING!!

  • i love the fact she said cetaphil...i think its the first time ive ever heard a celebrity say that they use a product like that. lol. made me laugh. she seems so laid back. im so happy she is beginning to get noticed more, but i hope she continues to work on less known films rather than just big ones. always been a bit of fan and took note of her in all her projects.

  • who gives a fuck what her background is and if she's 10% this and 25% that.

i looked to the comments to see some positive words about her and all i see is bitching and name calling what the fuck is going on.

she's amazing, she's a star and she's shining brighter than all those fake talentless "celebrities" that are on most magazines and mainstream media.

stop complaining and enjoy her while she's here, peace

  • @SONofEIRE1987 pretty sure she's dominican.

  • ohh no way!! she's half boricua!! cool..yay

  • FINALLY! Someone who actually looks like me on the cover. I love you Nylon, but I think its time you acknowledged that some people in this world have skin that has seen sunlight...in fact most of the world does.

  • Uhhh. Just so you know, people who keep saying she's black- Zoe isn't black. Zoe is cuban. yup....not black.

    I love her. :]

  • @ChocolateSoda3698 She's actually Puerto rican and Dominican, not Cuban. And obviously of African descent, which would explain her facial features and brown skin. Black and Latino isn't mutually exclusive. Pretty simple.

  • @IstahilIB Obviously, people in America aren't all that close minded. I see that you want to be differienciated (lolz, um sp?) by the ethnicity that you are, but all people in America don't categorize people like that. How about you go take a walk down the street and meet some people instead of reading books. && if people are like that where you are, why don't you correct them?

  • @ChocolateSoda3698 Huh? What are you talking about? All I was saying is that she's a black latina, something that she's also pointed out when describing herself. I don't really care either way. Don't try to make it sound like I'm the one with the problem, okay.

  • @IstahilIB her facial features don't scream out AFRICAN to me ...i've seen some white people that have more african facial features than her....u guys are lost

  • @Yea00 you know there are alot of African perople that have european features. That was a ignorant comment you made.

  • @ChocolateSoda3698 Being Cuban when it comes down to it, is no different than being "black" in the United States. I have no idea why people use such a nonsense term like Hispanic when it doesn't even exist. The only difference between "Latinos" and "Blacks" are their last names. One has a Spanish last name, the other a British/Anglo last name. Read a book.

  • @mimig14 wow, really? O.o I never knew that. I thought "hispanics" (for lack of a better word) or cubans were "hispanic/spanish" (for lack of a better word AGAIN lol XD) not black. One of my classmates calls herself/claims she's black but then her last name is rosado O.o I just consider her and zoe black since that's what they claim when a question about their race comes up.

  • @diamondbelle I can't get how people are confused by this, to be honest. This should be taught in schools. West African slaves were taken to various colonies, I can't understand how difficult it is to understand that the only thing seperating Zoe from a black person in America is their last names, which is given to them. Not one african person who is from the western world has a last name that is truly theirs. It is given to them. This is such a vital part of history, its important you know it.

  • @mimig14 ...It isn't taught in our schools because American public education sucks

  • @tswagg504 haha that's true, I went to a really good public school, and it still sucked.

  • @tswagg504 amen to that

  • @mimig14 you are so right, people love to forget about slavery and its envolment in Latin countries. Its quite sad how people try to erase African hertiage out of latin culture. I blame it on the school system, they focus to much time on the holocust and leave out alot of other things like slavery, indian migration, japanese concentration camps and other important events in history.

  • @kellyannabama I'm glad you agree:) Knowledge, not "education" is what will contribute to setting humanity free. We are taught names and dates but never actual detailed facts, and the text books we have are biased. What we learn is from a certain perspective. Most u.s./caribbean/latin american minorities are brainwashed. That's colonization for you. The rest of the population is ignorant. I know more about its history than they do and I have no ancestry in the americas. Most people lack curiosity.

  • @mimig14 Your right, at work the other day a boy said the spanish never had african slave. And the reason for dark skinned people is because of sunlight i looked at him and i was shock at the ignorant things that were coming out of his mouth. He had baically removed a chunk of history dealing with the spainards and latain countries, i had to pull up a article on the internet for him to belive me and thats scary. There are alot of people who know nothing about slavery and the migration of africans

  • @kellyannabama My goodness, that's disturbing. I think people are confused. When they think of slavery the u.s. is what pops into their head. Also latin countries are different.Spanish culture has effected it's former colonies more than say, the British culture in it's colonies. We speak english. That's all that really defines America. But in Latin America they adopted Spaniard ways, African, and Native. So it's hard to tell what's truly "spanish". Hope I made sense.

  • @mimig14 they have a intresting museum in my town and it talks about african influnces on latain countries through dances, drums and music and the people that live there. But your right more people need to take it upon themseleves to learn about history.

  • @kellyannabama unless the education system improves and the transatlantic slave trade is explained with truth and depth people must learn on their own.there needs to be more taught about africa, other than colonialism. it's only known as the "dark continent" with poverty, people who speak and look alike, or no past civilizations. which is all lies. trust me, people are stunned when they find out i'm african. "but you don't look african"! haha. idiots.

  • @mimig14 Completely agree with everything you said. I've dealt with the same thing. People getting confused about my ethnicity because I'm Somali and that I don't "look black". Lack of education for sure.

  • @IstahilIB You are! I'm Ethiopian :D Yeah I get that a lot. But I personally don't believe in race because it does not exist, so I don't define myself in that way. I think a lot of East Africans feel the need to define themselves to fit in. Personally I think using racist terms like "black" and "white" only divide and limit people. They have no biological meaning or contribute anything to society. I can define myself, I don't need some dated colonial terms to tell me who I am. Did I make sense?

  • @mimig14 Definitely made sense. ; ) But yeah I know what you mean. When you're brought in a society that categorizes people on "race" you do kinda feel pressured to play by the "rules" so you feel like you fit in. We've become so desensitized by the racial categorizes because we are so used to them. People forget the racially divisive and hateful origins of them. They really don't serve any purpose besides putting people in boxes, which is never a good thing.

  • she's so classy, i love it. Like a breath of freash air.

  • isnt she neytiri in avatar. shes so cool. and an incredible actress. GO NYLON!!

  • There has been some controversy about Nylon featuring its very first African American/Latina woman on the cover.

  • She is so gorgeous

  • she looks indian loool even she's not

  • Love her!

I wish I could work for Nylon!

  • damn she's hot and i'm hardly ever attracted to black girls. no offense to anyone.

  • У неё отличная форма.

  • Many Hollywood actresses are fake but Zoe is the most natural person I ever saw. In every interview she is relaxed and says what she feels. I liked her very much in Center Stage she is a great ballerina.

  • loveloveloveee her !

  • She's so skinny.

  • I Love Everything about her

  • thank god i different cover! thank you nylon! its about time!
