WOULD YOU PLEASE BUILD THE DAMN THING?!!!

It's like the BEST HATCHBACK IN HISTORY. Nevermind 130i, Impreza STi, Golf R, Focus RS, RS3. With revised suspension layout, AWD and active differentials, this car could eat all those. This beauty would be the best compact car ever.

And it would be (if it is kept like the base-C30 1.0) the THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COMPACT CAR as well (Alfa no longer produces the 147...)

Please, this is a win-win decision: BUILD IT!

I cant imagine volvo producing this car. The focus st and rs both have excelent sales figures, this unfortunatly wouldnt, the technology in this car would make it a 60k+ gbp, and there isnt really a market for a 4 door hatch of that value, and due to volvo and fords partnership, anything that could be seen to take the wind out of the focus sales, is a threat to both companys. Brilliant example of sweedish engineering, but Please volvo prove me wrong.

Please make it then your company won't get called old man cars I love volvos and I get bullied for my passion for volvos that will wipe the smiles off their faces . You really need the polestar devison mercedes have the amg etc and if you watched top gear you would find out that the mercedes had a v12 producing around 600 or 800 hp yet the Volvo produces 400hp and has a 2.5 litre engine what could Volvo do with an engine that big :)

I never considered buying a Volvo until I saw this.. i'd buy one.. no one is taking on the "I want a rally car but I am a bit older now" market.. Audi isn't offering the RS3 to north america. obviously the Sti and Evo are great but they appeal to a younger market.. build it and they will come buy Volvos!

As a swedish volvo-fanatic i really hope they build this or that Polestar get the permissions to have a "kit" so they can upgrade it with full new-car-warranty.

If they would they will most defenetly come back with a bang after the separation from Ford, who gave them nothing, i think they would open the eyes of buyers that go for Japanese performancecars. I say take it to some track-days, show everybody that Volvo isn´t just a familycar, and a whole new era for Volvo would beginn.

It's ultimate. If you saw that you'd NEVER ever EVER think it's fast at all, let alone lap the Volvo test track faster than an Evo X! It's offically the gretest sleeper EVER! Safety, comfy, AND insanity. Wonderful.

Although ford modeo 2.5T, focus st, rs, rs500 are all volvo engined, NOW volvo show supremacy again!!!

I wish they could start producing proper hardcore R model again, instead of the actual R-line. Which is like the audi's S-line.

@renroj So? They will still have a board in Sweden. It's still going to be a Swedish car brand albeit with Chinese money. In an interview with the owner he even said thay he's not going to mess with any of Volvo's operations, and that he didn't want people freaking out just because a Chinese owner. He even said that he knows he can make more money off of Volvo if he keeps Volvo, Volvo.
